I'm got a good reputation locally and I'm a pretty big guy, so not many get in my face. For a sleepy beach town, the turnout is pretty impressive at those meetings and we've done a better job at resisting CRT than the towns around us.
That's a good answer, I'm going to try it. I'm in Canada and our school systems (especially Ontario and Quebec) are lost. I think lots of people are noticing that now with teachers saying (in ontario) that they don't want to return to the school for the REST of 2021 due to covid fears.

Some states do have requirements for homeschool, for example, they require x amount of hours/weeks/days of school and require you to fulfill certain subjects. Some states are more lenient than others. But they can’t control your curriculum unless you are still using the public school system

I've got no kids (yet) but I've still gone to a few school board meetings. One of my Patriotic friends just got on the local school board late last year.

I've been asked that once or twice. My response would be something along the lines of: "I've lived in this town for 20+ years and have just as much stake in the community as anyone."
I'm got a good reputation locally and I'm a pretty big guy, so not many get in my face. For a sleepy beach town, the turnout is pretty impressive at those meetings and we've done a better job at resisting CRT than the towns around us.
That's a good answer, I'm going to try it. I'm in Canada and our school systems (especially Ontario and Quebec) are lost. I think lots of people are noticing that now with teachers saying (in ontario) that they don't want to return to the school for the REST of 2021 due to covid fears.

We taught ours to read, write, speak properly, and then started handing them books. Most of their time is doing what they love, and what will eventually become their livelihood, taking care of a ranch and raising their own food...and of course lots of trap and skeet shooting. I guarantee that they are far better off than 95% of the kids their age. They can't even stand being around "normal" kids for more than an hour or so at gatherings, but through 4H we found a lot of homeschool families out there and they get plenty of friend time.

Trust me. I work exclusively with all denominations of churches for a living. They aren’t as pure as they pretend to be. The smaller churches seem to be the best!

Great if you have the means to do it. Not everyone does, and if enough do it, the state still regulates the education standards. They will enforce the wokeness by forcing you to adhere to the same curriculum as public school or they won't let your kid get the equivalent of graduation and they'll come after you as if you never sent your kids to school
That’s only true if you sign up for online public school which is not the same as a true homeschool. Some states do have requirements for homeschool, for example, they require x amount of hours/weeks/days of school and require you to fulfill certain subjects. Some states are more lenient than others. But they can’t control your curriculum unless you are still using the public school system
