I enjoy die hard, fbi are dumbasses in it

Fun fact Bruce Willis. is one of the few actors, that is openly against leftism.

53
JeremiahKassin 53 points ago +53 / -0

That would certainly explain why so many in Hollywood say he's "hard to work with."

54
DeplorableSpic3 [S] 54 points ago +54 / -0

Lol ... and the LAPD too ... it is the perfect movie

35
KevO4444 35 points ago +35 / -0

The one LAPD cop with common sense was the beat cop Carl Winslow.

The higher up the chain of command the more incompetent leadership was. Pretty accurate.

Most movies the FBI are the bad guys trying to catch the heroo

3
Whoopies_tds 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not to worry, CBS is trying their hardest to glorify the FBI as model law enforcement in their weekly series FBI where the plot every week is a white Supremacist did something and the angels at the FBI always do the morally right thing.

I wonder if CBS has ever heard of Peter Strozk or Kevin Clinesmith?

Don't forget the Clean Cut Muslim Superstar Agent

10
kinbergfan 10 points ago +11 / -1

Why don't we start making movies where that portray the fbi accurately--that is corrupt and partisan arm of the dnc?

House of cards ... but that one got destroyed quite quickly 🧐🤔

36
Gelus 36 points ago +36 / -0

Die Hard has one of the few relatively realistic portrayals of the FBI in cinema. The fact that they were written halfway as a caricature and it still comes across accurately says all that needs to be said.

3
BingusCombat 3 points ago +3 / -0

It needed more fat, frumpy, muffin-top having, ugly, dysgenic, mystery-meat dykes though. At least to be realistic today.

11
FlauntandStraunt 11 points ago +11 / -0

Leverage is also extremely good on that with their only FBI contacts being dunces they lead around into success. Show also leaned heavy into all the complicit corruption of Government, Corporations and the Media. Show was pretty on point about all the higher level collusion to keep the average citizens down and out.

I still love Law & Order SVU until about season 4. Some of the later seasons have fantastic stories sprinkled in with the bullshit.

4
A_Feral_Duck 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’d seriously recommend watching “Person of Interest.” The FBI plots are largely around an obsessed agent…. But holy shit does that show hate on the CIA/NSA. Literal monsters who will murder hundreds of people to keep themselves in control. And while I wasn’t super thrilled with the last 2 seasons of it, the core plot of the government partnering with a giant corporation to spy on everyone with no regard for individual rights and eliminating anyone who might commit wrongthink now seems really ahead of its time.

Plus the NYPD is shown as corrupt as the day is long.

Also one of my favorite lines from a TV series: “Kill you? No, I’m not going to kill you. My friend is going to kill you, and I’m going to watch.”

2
Recusant_Apparatchik 2 points ago +2 / -0

Also, it eerily predicted Snowden.

28
Observe95 28 points ago +28 / -0

Wokeness destroyed FBI Agents Mulder and Scully. I stopped watching the reboot halfway. The storylines and the actors kneeling was too much.

9
phandaal 9 points ago +9 / -0

Old X-Files is a pretty good representation of the FBI though. Two good agents are shuffled off to what everyone else thinks of as career-killing crackpot assignments. The rest are irredeemable pieces of shit.

12
Observe95 12 points ago +12 / -0

Old X-Files was good.

Old X-Files would have loved the Trump era with the revealing of the Deepstate.

3
Benedict_pence 3 points ago +3 / -0

Never bothered past season 10

3
A_Feral_Duck 3 points ago +3 / -0

I hate to sound like a hipster, but the X-Files was good before it got popular. Once they got the budget, moved production to LA, and expanded the writing team the stories just started getting irredeemably stupid.

1
modscalledmeacuck 1 point ago +3 / -2

Good u stopped watching, not cause of wokeness(1 ep had a muslim blowup a building with people in it, but cause it had the worst pos ending evr, makes the way got ended look like the ending of bttf

23
TopBloke 23 points ago +23 / -0

At least in x-files it lets you follow the story while agreeing they are snakes.

26
FlauntandStraunt 26 points ago +26 / -0

Yea it's pretty open about the whole place being compromised by "Hidden Powers" and the only honest one around is called crazy and stuck in the basement.

3
Dark_Shroud 3 points ago +3 / -0

And that's only because they need people to do the bitch work and go out and deal with the crazy shit that happens in this country.

You want to meet honest police & FBI? Go to the rural areas they're posted at. Because they don't make it in big cities or metro areas.

17
The_Viking_Squatch 17 points ago +17 / -0

I'm rewatching the X-Files right now, so here's the game; replace Mulder's obsession with aliens with antifags. Then it's like the actual FBI, always trying to down play the crazy conspiracy of the idea of antifag.

8
Patriots_dont_kneel 8 points ago +9 / -1

Most people here are anti-fags...

Been watching Stargate SG1 again lately. Really refreshing to watch something without politically charged subliminal messages. They don't portray the FBI as good one bit, either.

I just started watching Stargate SG1 for the first time and really am enjoying it for the same reasons. :) Great, fun show!

A_Feral_Duck 4 points ago +4 / -0

SG-1 was a near perfect balance of action, drama, and humor. 8 seasons of great television. I’d skip seasons 9 and 10 though. The finale of episode 8 was the perfect place to end the show, and the Ori made for a really shitty villain (So powerful the only thing that can stop them is a deus ex machina ending!).

3
PaigeAshley 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm just now starting season three, and I have to agree with you! It's a excellent series, love the characters, action and humor. And thanks for the tip on ending at the season 8 finale. :) I like it much better than Stargate Atlantis, though, granted, I've only seen the first season of that one so far.

I've also just started watching Babylon 5, just finished season one, and was sad to learn that Commander Sinclair, the main lead, left for health reasons and was replaced. I hope the replacement is good, because the series is pretty cool. :)

2
A_Feral_Duck 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, Atlantis suffered from a revolving door on the cast’s trailer. It was fun at first turning plot cliches on their head though. It did seem to lose its sense of direction as it went on though.

Babylon 5 is pretty great though. Garibaldi was my favorite and the actor who played him (Jerry Doyle, rip) was as based as you could get in Hollywood. And don’t worry, captain Sheridan is a great character. Beginning of season 5 drags a bit at the start, but does pick up after a few episodes.

2
whippeat 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same. I’ve been rewatching Star Trek, Voyager and DS9. Amazing how they were made in the 80’s but it was way ahead of its time. Also notable they had people of all races and nobody gave a shit. It was actual diversity, not the cake and forced nonsense we have nowadays.

2
A_Feral_Duck 2 points ago +2 / -0

Late 80’s to early 2000’s was a golden age for SciFi TV. Two of the best Trek series (TNG and DS 9. Sorry, Voyager had a lot of problems although I’ll grant that it looks brilliant next to what Alan Kurtzman has done to the franchise), 3 stargate shows, Farscape, Babylon 5 and the X-Files to name a few.

Now a days? The Expanse is good. I’ll admit I enjoyed most of The Orville. But most modern television is crap.

That's why I have stopped watching everything. Movies, tv shows. It's really like the sun glasses from They Live. Everywhere you look in this country is just blatant propaganda, commercialism and ads ads ads. Sometimes I just want to be inserted back into the matrix.

10
current_horror 10 points ago +10 / -0

Just go back in time. There are plenty of great movies and TV shows from the pre-woke era.

8
cyberwar 8 points ago +8 / -0

That's what I'm doing. It's unbelievable how many good movies were made in the 30s and 40s.

3
BetaODork 3 points ago +3 / -0

Im just glad to see the masses reject all the corrupt institutions in this country. The backlash was culminating and then they unleashed covid on us. Just like before September 11 2001 they were losing their grip on power while the masses were waking up. The Great Awakening is happening. Not the way Q has put it, but like every psy op or conspiracy, there is a nugget of truth to it. They are losing their grip all across the world and this seems to me to be a desperate attempt. We will rise up.

2
DrinkLikeAGilmore 2 points ago +3 / -1

No, they ALL have agendas. Just different ones to get us to where we are now. For instance lier, earlier shows focuses on how moms of house should be getting out to earn her own money, become more independent while the daughters became more "fashionable" whores and sons more douchebag jerks.

3
current_horror 3 points ago +3 / -0

How do I put this?

A movie with an agenda in 1984 was about 95% movie and 5% agenda. I can enjoy such movies even when I disagree with their agenda.

In 2021, leftist agendas are so overt and pronounced that movies barely contain any movie. I can't watch five minutes of this shit.

2
alfredbester 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not sure you could have put it any better.

17
wiseracer 17 points ago +17 / -0

Silence of the lambs was on yesterday and I thought the same thing. Today, Buffalo Bill would be a hero - a tranny democrat who loved his dog and wild life.

In real life the FBI could never catch him. They would've received 30 leads and ignored them because they were busy following a grandma who voted wrong.

Reminder; they don't solve crimes. They operate as a democrat Gestapo targeting political opposition and framing them for fake crimes to flip against their family or friends.

17

Blackmail was always the FBI's purpose.

Full text of "J. Edgar Hoover - G-Man In A G-String"

Hoover clung to power for almost 50 years as America's secret police chief, maintaining his position largely through the voluminous files he accumulated on the peccadilloes of prominent politicians: financial, sexual, and criminal.

Anyone remember Filegate?

The White House FBI files controversy of the Clinton Administration, often referred to as Filegate, arose in June 1996 around improper access in 1993 and 1994 to FBI security-clearance documents. Craig Livingstone, director of the White House's Office of Personnel Security, improperly requested, and received from the FBI, background reports concerning several hundred individuals without asking permission. The revelations provoked a strong political and press reaction because many of the files covered White House employees from previous Republican administrations, including top presidential advisors. Under criticism, Livingstone resigned from his position. Allegations were made that senior White House figures, including First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, may have requested and read the files for political purposes, and that the First Lady had authorized the hiring of the underqualified Livingstone.

Most of the tv shows that have three letter agencies in them are chalk full of trannies, gays (both sexes), or a fucking alien that is all of the above. It's all trash now. At least back in the old days of X-files, Mulder was straight and hated pedophiles. What a stark difference these days.

"FBI - "Sounds good!"

4
Fanakapan 4 points ago +4 / -0

I dont know, that Jimmy Stewart film was pretty good, and he was a stand up guy.

But its worth remembering from even back in the day the shenanigans that Hoover played to get ahead of Melvin Purvis and others, and the allegations of perversion levelled at him.

The FBI has always had a big political footprint, and its really only gone to the dogs since Hoover went to meet Jesus, and the body politic stacked its upper deck with political appointments.

For all the allegations of highly suspect predilections, old Edgar did a fine job of controlling huckster politicians for many years. But thats all gone now, and its likely the FBI is controlled by just the sort of folks that Hoover would have run out of town. Basically, politicians will never forget how their style was crimped during Edgar Hoover's tenure, and you can bet they'll never let that happen again. So the FBI is just another police body stuffed fat with safe jobs that will attract a nice pension after 20 years.

Looked at the first episode of the current FBI TV show when it began some years back. Turned it off in disgust after five minutes or so. The anti-Republican / conservative bias was nauseating. Only watch older US cop / crime shows these days, except for Bosch and perhaps American Detective if it ever comes back, Currently enjoying Major Crimes again, but even there the FBI content is worrisome at times, especially the arrogance.

Episode of The Carol Burnett Show had guest Pat Caroll and in the scene she is stuffing herself with cake while Vicki Lawrence's character comes in with clean shaven head saying it's the new unisex look and her newborn child is genderless and nameless and will choose its name and gender at age 21 as "its 1976 now". 🙄
