“You see what happens is when we continue to say everybody get a gun, it’s like the wild wild west,” said Boudreaux who noted the legislation is opposed by the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police.
Fuck Boudreaux and the LACP. And anyone else opposing this. Get there in less than TWENTY FUCKING MINUTES on a 911 call about a guy assaulting (misdemeanor, putting his finger on their chest/ shoulder area) multiple women and trying to break a counter at a local store on a Saturday morning. 20 fucking minutes. If the guy had pulled a weapon I'd probably be dead right now. As the only man in the store, he wouldn't close distance with me and ended up leaving on his own. Took 15 minutes for an ambulance to get there the other day on a SEPARATE 911 call. I don't have $125 for a CCW class, nor do I want to blow the 50 rounds for it. Getting low. I can't depend on the cops to get there in time, I can't depend on the ambulance to get there before I bleed out if something happens. LITERALLY on our own out in the middle Baton fucking ROUGE. The state fucking CAPITOL.
As a resident of Louisiana, I'll believe it when I see it. The Louisiana State Gov't is infested with cucked RINOs (many changed from D to R just to get elected). AND we have a full blown Marxist Dem Governor, John Bel Edwards. And I'll throw this in as well: we use Dominion Voting Machines - until that changes Louisiana is Red in name only.
Louisiana folks call your representatives and tell them to pass HB16, the house version of permitless conceal carry or constitutional carry. HB16 is the one we want, SB118, the subject of the OP sets an age restriction of 21 years, requires the carrier to disclose to law enforcement and lowers legal BAC to .05 when carrying. HB16 doesn't have all that bullshit.
I got an email from Rep. McCormick yesterday that seemed to indicate HB16 was dead?
HB16 was heard in committee this week. We made flight arrangements for Dr. John Lott, Jr. to testify in favor. He is an economist and world-recognized expert on guns and crime who recently served in the Trump Administration as Senior Advisor for Research and Statistics for the US Dept. of Justice.
Dr. Lott arrived ready to share a plethora of information with us, but the debate quickly turned personal and it was quite unfortunate.
HB16 was killed by an 8-4 vote.
We had no warning of the political animosity we would walk into during that hearing, BUT, I will not be wasting my energy on the negative. There are more important things going on, including the fight for liberty in Louisiana!
WHAT’S NEXT? There are two remaining bills [SB118 and HB596] in play that contain language similar to HB16. I will work to ensure those bills continue successfully and reflect Constitutional Carry.
I am encouraging Louisiana’s 2nd Amendment supporters to continue pushing for a true Constitutional Carry bill!!
As Ronald Reagan once said, “There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit.”
Now is NOT the time to back down!! We can still make 2021 the year Louisiana becomes a Constitutional Carry state!
The legislators website doesn't snow the committee vote, only that it is in committee. HB596 seems to be the worst one, it accomplishes permitless carry but it also adds more shit than SB118. It's disappointing that HB16 is likely dead...
The senate bill passed 27 yeas, 11 nays and 1 absent so it looks like they have enough votes to override the governor in the senate. Hopefully the house doesn't let us down.

I found it.
Committee Votes on 4/28 - Including HB16
Should call and tell them their pussies.
