The government is illegitimate if it doesn’t. The majority of people simply don’t want to realize that the government has become illegitimate and needs to be held accountable for its crimes.

Lol ... oh dear friend ... if your measure of legitimacy is to use a tool that has never been invented to look into a politicians soul, looking for something that has never been found and hope against hope that this politician ... this man of appearances is the one that holds my interests in his mind ... If nobody supports the government it would not exist anymore. It’s only a perception of “legitimacy” that forestalls a dissolution of the bonds that cause the government to exist. The politicians are an emperor with no clothes when they can garner no support and the public realizes it. When they system works the politicians remember who they really serve. Caesar is not the President or the Congress or the courts. Caesar is We The People.
