There actually are differences between fascism and communism. A bunch of communists didn't make an anti-fascist group because they were THAT stupid they didn't realize communism and fascism are the same thing. No, there are in fact differences.
Right-wingers have more in common with fascists than communists but fascists have more in common with communists than right-wingers.
It does matter to our side. The hatred against fascism is actually working against us because we'd be better off allying with the fascists than the communists. Refusing to ally with the fascists is a problem IMO.

By designating your enemy a "fascist" you're training yourself to hate fascists as much as your enemy who are communists. This is working against right-wingers.
