On this topic in particular, we should be calling them out on supporting human trafficking, the hundreds of millions of dollars that cartels make off of it, the terrible conditions the migrants endure, and the exploitation they suffer once they are here. This isn't a "red vs blue" battle. They are supporting a monstrous, inhumane crisis. Getting in a few cheap "gotchas" on social media neither solves the problem, nor promotes our cause in any meaningful way.
I don't like it. But. It seems to work for the left. They're loud, they get seen, people think their movements are bigger than they are. And where are we? Hiding, not engaging, letting them control the message. How has that worked out for us?
What we really need to do is stop caring what they say, and convince everyone we can to stop caring what they say too.
They make accusations and get morally outraged, and people on our side act like it's meaningful. But if anyone on our side gets morally outraged, they don't care in the slightest.
