Won't find me excited. Not sure why anyone else here is either. In principle, most of these people deserve to be disposed of. After witnessing the absolute corruption of the judiciary just since November (it has been corrupt longer than this) and the infiltration of Soros backed prosecutors, the chauvin verdict, the rittenhouse charges, and the litany of other horse shit prosecutions that have taken place and are currently on going, why would you ever want the government to have the power to kill its own citizens?

Would you trust a capital sentence as a result of prosecution by Adam Schiff, Andrew Weissman, or Kamala Harris? If so, please don't reproduce.

The issue is that it goes against the marxist ideological subversion overtaking our culture... FIRING SQUADS???? The democrats will think that's super mean! That's just not a nice thing! It opposes their PC bullshit.

I say I dgaf... In fact, please put me in front of a firing squad with the injustice we are seeing, the stupidity, the blind trust and obedience, and the capitulation to fear and a false promise of "safety"... Something has to give...

I understand the sentiment...but I can assure you I will never go out like that.

The Marxists and Fascists were the most prolific government sponsored murderers of the 20th century. They only play this shit to troll us. The real turnabout would be to abolish the death penalty. They wouldn't really want that, because they'd like to send us all to the showers. Although...they probably wouldn't care if that was illegal or not.

As we have seen legal executions are only for criminals. Patriots get murdered on spot or tossed in prison without a trial and beaten. Won’t surprise me if some are beaten to death.

why would you ever want the government to have the power to kill its own citizens?

So if the state should not have the authority to execute the most heinous murderers, what is the appropriate punishment that the state should use? Life without parole is the next best thing I can think of. Functionally, it's the same sentence. I don't think that a person can lead a full and fulfilling life in prison. As such, I'm pro execution because dragging out their death over decades amounts to cruel and unusual punishment. But the bigger question on my mind is: should the state have the authority to issue any punishment that doesn't allow for rehabilitation?

Any issues that you have with politically-motivated prosecutions won't be irrelevant because the state can't execute people.

You can at least fight to free yourself from prison if you are alive. If you are executed, that is the end. Having been around here for a bit, I am clearly in the minority with my stance. But for me, no amount of innocents executed is an acceptable price to pay. Retributive justice makes some people feel better but does not translate to safer. Keeping maniacs and dipshits off the streets is a good idea. It doesn't require killing them to do this. Do I shed tears for the Ted Bundys getting the chair? No. It keeps me up at night thinking about the people who didn't do it getting killed. That will never be ok with me. I will always oppose the death penalty because I simply do not trust government with anything.

Yeah but mostly they are putting joggers down.

I completely agree with you actually. I just responded to someone else saying the people on the receiving end might end up being the ones that should be on the giving end, and visa versa.

I think the public ought to understand the criminal justice system and how the courts operate within it. It would blow your mind. I have seen some OBVIOUS fall guys get railroaded to the death chambers. That has to be the most horrific life experience ever...to get put to death by your own government for a crime they know you didn't commit....

Texas is one of the worst offenders. Yes, most people on death row are guilty. But when a good third of them have some serious doubt and 10-20% might be entirely innocent, this is not a viable system. Prosecutors have political ambitions, they gotta show they are "tough on crime" and nail someone for a heinous murder. Don't give a fuck who, the public demands "justice." By the time anyone gets any the wiser, they will have moved on to higher office and nobody will care.

The appeals courts are designed to sustain convictions, at virtually all costs. I actually witnessed a judge on the court of appeals in a capital case state "we aren't concerned here about guilt or innocence, it only matters if he had a fair trial..." My jaw dropped.

I mean if the plan is to cede all power to Democrats, then yeah, capital punishment would a bad thing if they could execute whomever they wanted. But this reminds me of Kanye's comment on slavery, that's only a problem if you choose to be one and plan to lose.

1
JohnCocktoastin 1 point ago +2 / -1

You should look at the number of people freed from death row by the Innocence Project alone. And they aren't the only group. I don't agree with everything those guys do, but they have been a godsend to countless people who obviously didn't commit the crime, and were railroaded. If you think this couldn't happen to you, you could be Kyle Rittenhouse in your own home shooting an armed intruder that shot you first and charged with capital murder if you live in a death penalty state with a Soros prosecutor.

d_bokk 1 point ago +1 / -0

If they start to execute us because of politics, the republic is ended, so being concerned about whether or not your execution is by injection or gun squad seems trivial.

Where are they getting their ammo from??

anon4292021 4 points ago +4 / -0

I have heard fentanyl is affective. Oh wait we just lost the dealer a few months back to a knee on the shoulder incident. NVM don't spare the lead.

shaven_llama 3 points ago +3 / -0

I’d take a firing squad over lethal injection anyway. Or the chair, or hanging.

2
YouHadMeAtGaming [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

The videos I’ve watched of them, it looks nice and quick. The only scary part would be the walk and the waiting for the bang. But that would be the same with any execution I’d imagine.

RRREEEEfem_bot -2 points ago +1 / -3

You were watching videos of people getting executed? ....everything okay at home, pede?

2
grandfather_nurgle 2 points ago +2 / -0

I love living in a state with an applied death penalty. You could say it’s my safe space.

2
FreeSpeechLivesOn 2 points ago +2 / -0

just go to home depot and buy some hammers. It's all the rave among lefties lately.

OHHHHH that's cool!

2
JoeBidensDementia1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Do they need volunteers?

0
YouHadMeAtGaming [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

The scary thing is there’s a good chance the people on the receiving end will be people who should be on the giving end.

Make the person pay for the bullet before they are shot.

3
Nunyo 3 points ago +3 / -0

How many rounds will they have to buy and which caliber? That's gonna cost a lot right about now.

2
YouHadMeAtGaming [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I like the way you think. Isn’t that what China does?

2
SolidSnakeOil 2 points ago +2 / -0

Now do public hangings.

2
Vyse 2 points ago +2 / -0

I dunno.. have you seen the price of bullets these days? Sword executions would probably be more cost effective, least you can reuse the sword.

Exactly how is there a shortage of these drugs, did we start executing by the hundreds lately? But hey, let’s replace it with ammunition because that shit is plentiful. 🙄

1
ravioli_king 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think it's a cost effective solution. The cleanup might be rough. Speaking of cost effective, most states if not all will limit the last meal at $20.

1
YouHadMeAtGaming [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they should. I never agreed with people getting lobster and steak and whatever else they want. Give them a quarter pounder and some fries.

Ebbie8708 1 point ago +1 / -0

Robin Harris the comedian from the 80s had a great bit about executions:

Things like this and the anti riot laws sound good on the surface, but Jan 6 showed us that the system can be turned against patriots.

Or give them fentanyl...

Homemade-Soap 1 point ago +1 / -0

So, congress and the alphabet agencies will be sent there when?

1
ObamakilledJoan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sooo Lindsay Graham has volunteered...right?

1
Food4thought 1 point ago +1 / -0

lol, Probably not... but if they could extradite some of the DC crowd that would be great.

1
Final_Arbiter 1 point ago +1 / -0

They could easily pay for it by raffling off tickets to gun owners to participate in the firing squad.

1
Bueller 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why dont they simply put people in a sealed chamber and fill it with with CO2 (ya know . . .remove the oxygen) throw some blocks of dry ice in a warm room and strap them to the flloor. People die quite often in accidents i.e. dry ice in camper coolers

Or, carbon monoxide, you get sleepy and pass out - then die -people do it all the time in closed garages with a car running. People simply go uncoscious, then die. No muss no fuss.

No bullets, or frying people, or tricky expensive difficult to source drug cocktails.

Simple, cheap, effective, minimal discomfort

Be careful, you don’t know who the firing squads are intended for... I seem to remember them being used during socialist purges after government take over.

1
Big-E 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not going to work. No ammo.

NoStepOnSnekPlz 0 points ago +1 / -1

Shit, why even bother with the pomp and procedure of a firing squad when you only need a captive bolt pistol, the likes of which they use in the animal slaughtering business. Use the means that their station calls for.

Hell, just create a helmet with a couple of them attached in various angles and hit the switch -- fuckers don't need, nor deserve, an open casket funeral.
