50% of our tech department has found new 100% remote jobs. It's so damn funny.

I've been working remote for 6 years, except for a year at a consulting firm in between. The consulting firm was basically working in the office for remote clients, but frowned on people working from home for more than one day a month. Of course they've changed their tune now - I stalk them on LinkedIn and they act like they've always been pros at remote work. I want to call them out so bad.

At the job I've had for 3 years, I've been flown out once, but the rest is 100% remote and I make nearly twice as much. We're constantly hiring. It's no wonder tech people are leaving bad jobs with the student increase in opportunity and coming from bad jobs that frown on remote work or don't know how to manage it properly.

I won't go back of I can help it. Chances are I'll be in this boat for a long time.
