They objectively didn't have a supermajority. You need 60% to get most bills through the Senate, which meant in 2017, you needed 8 Democrats to sign onto any bill in the Senate to get it to pass. They only had 52 Republicans until the end of 2017, and then only 51 once Jeff Sessions' seat in Alabama was lost to the Democrat in the Special Election.
The exception being 1 budget reconciliation bill per fiscal year that they can pass with only 51%. (The 3 they had planned were Obamacare repeal, Tax Cuts, Obamacare replace). But McCain cucked on repeal.

Well said. Trump is doing what he can. He is not perfect, but I'm glad he's putting forth effort and trying you know. Criticism of him is fair game as it should be. Not every single thing he does is golden and we don't have to take it lightly. Doesn't mean we have to lynch him either.
Take the vaccines for example. There I was undergoing a mental breakdown from my wife almost dying and my suicidal ideation a were going full swing. I was a complete mess and the hospital was offering the shot and Pfizer had been around for a long time and I took Trump at his word with touting the vaccine left and right and I got one jab and I never had such bad chest pain in my life. I thought I was going to die for a bit. I will not let my family get it and I will never get another one as I am convinced I will die if I do as they say the second jab is worse than the first.
I've deeply regretted it, but my stupidity has kept my parents and siblings and grandparents from all getting the shot at least.
Listening to Trump almost got me killed. I'm never listening to anyone ever again. No more flu shots either.
