Have you tried to buy anything decent or useful lately? It's all out of stock. The commie attack on production is working. Passing out free money to labor and now taxing any incentive out of investment in production.

Don't be fooled. When stuff disappears from the shelves, you can rest assured that the super rich are able to buy it on the black market at super exorbitant prices. I doubt this black market activity shows up on inflation numbers no matter who does the counting. AS IT BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOUR MONEY, STOCKS, CRYPTO AND GOLD TO BUY ANYTHING, IT'S LOSING VALUE NO MATTER WHAT THE NUMBERS SAY.

People across the country aren't going back to work bc they makeore on unemployment right now. Restaurants where I live can't keep servers. Literally they are changing the hours they are open bc no one will work so it's just the owners

Have you heard about the looming microchip shortage? Modern cars use them in multiple places. There's going to be a new car shortage soon. I work in the construction industry and we are seeing sporadic shortages of equipment. We're also seeing some prices skyrocket. 2x4's and plywood are extremely expensive right now.

Specific computer gear and networking equipment is heavily backordered now. It is impossible to quote a job as you have no idea what will be available.

Guns, ammo, an Indian wool rug, recliner (foam is now in short supply), gas, propane, semi conductors, canning lids...that's just my personal experience.

Where are you? No Shortage in my Area.

Ammo, the basic supplies needed to manufacture ammo, guns, canning lids (American made not those Chinese knockoffs that everyone says fail), semi conductors (national news and I know an auto supplier to manufacturers) even physical gold and silver? You must live in a very special place. Yes, made in China seems in plentiful supply but once you're off that grid, things are starting to dry up fast. .

In Missouri we have an Ammo Manufacturer down the Road, and 5 or 6 Gun Factories in the State. Sadly the Gun Factories are by STL and Kansas City. And my Friend buys Gold/Silver with every other Paycheck.

I don't buy Canning Lids nor Semi Conductors. Not gonna need Semi Conductors if there is no electricity. Nor Canning Lids if there is no Food. Which both go bye bye under a Communist State.

That is a special place but the point of the article is that your money and other financial assets are becoming worthless as it becomes harder and harder for them to buy anything. Money has value because OTHER people can buy stuff with it. It's value goes down as this ability does.

But he’s saying there’s not a shortage so it’s all moot or wrong... ????? Semiconductors are not a good example for everyday people I don’t think

Yeah they are. Think of every electronic device or appliance you own. I guarantee it impacts a significant amount of your personal property

I'm sure some places stock on certain things is short, and other places it's in abundance.

Here there was the run on TP and the wipes and everything but they've all been back on the shelves for a while now

The chips are going to be a big deal though and we're already seeing that. Even something specific like a graphics card is being bought 3x the price because people are stupid.

I’m located in the NYC suburbs and while there’s no shortage, prices are climbing for everything “due to shortages on the way”. Inflation is coming and then comes full blown socialism.

Indeed. That's why we have gotta form Kekistan ASAP.

Get back to the Gold Standard. And tell China to fuck off, repossess everything they have in America as Reperations for Stolen Technology and Espionage.

Walmart (online, and at least in my store) has Ball canning jars (with lids/rings, or you can buy just the lids) — I spent $8 for a 12ct of the 16oz jars/lids, which is a little high but really not bad

1
twoswords [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks but I got plenty of jars and rings. Having those without the option of buying just the lids seems like a forced upsale to me.

1
I_Used_to_be_me 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's fair. I honestly have no idea what lids alone are even supposed to cost (in normal times) — looks like a 12ct costs more than what a 12ct of jars/lids/rings costs lol. Walmart has a 12ct of Ball for ~$12, or a 60 count of whatever Denali brand is for $30

I have a dealer that has lots of arms & ammo & he don't jack the prices up. I have a line on canning lids & rings & jars too. Everything else is going up in price that can be found.

Who buys Lysol?

Like, the shelves had brown fur on them?

Same thing happened to the Russians in the late 1940s and 1950s. Everybody had money, but it didn't matter because there was nothing to spend it on.

If you hand people unrestricted access to purchasing power and no incentive to produce something in exchange for it, the consumers will quickly overwhelm the producers. It's a simple law of economics. Inflation or not, this was always going to be the end-result.

"Adjusting" the Consumer Price Index (CPI) weights(medicine, education), product shrinkflation (bag o chips 90% air) not being seen as inflationary, home purchases and energy not being counted as consumer goods.

We've been being lied to for 50 years. The private sector efficiencies of the last 30 years aren't going to save them this time.

I've noticed this with items associated with self sustenance and independence. Haven't see anything in short supply at big box chain stores.

5
twoswords [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

I wouldn't know. I'm boycotting all those public companies accept maybe Home Depot. My experience with Wall Street in the past has been that they sell deceptive garbage anyway and very little selection when it comes to quality. Right now most of the problems seem to be on fringe items but don't be surprised if it grows except for made in China garbage. American production is being shut down.

I really haven’t had problems buying anything besides a decent home weight set. Do you have examples of things?

2
MyDogCompletesMe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ammo, Lumber supplies, Plumbing supplies, Chlorine for pools, PS5s, Video cards for computers, anything with computer chips which includes many mundane car parts like tires,

1
GiveMe1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ammo is a problem everywhere, all of the other stuff I see al over. Prices on some stuff is going up but it’s not even close to how bad op makes it seem.

2
freebirdie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Only thing short around here is ammo.
