I remember trying to watch Bill Nye Saves the World and they brought up how “the largest demographic for Antivaxxers are wealthy people with additional education after their 4 year degree”.

But then they actually tried to imply that these highly educated antivaxx people were against vaccines because they were “uneducated” and didn’t “listen to Bill Nye”.

The propaganda is reaching absurd levels.

My biggest antivax friend used to be a public school teacher. One of her kids had a really bad reaction to vaccines when she was young, so her and her husband refused to give any of her kids vaccines. Both are quite intelligent, and neither were antivax until they saw the results with their own eyes, with even doctors agreeing.

Jenny McCarthy swears that her son became autistic through vaccination.

Fun piece of trivia: there is a small section of the Masked Singer fandom that wanted Jenny off the show for her "anti-vax" views.

Even in a silly show about costumed singers, we can't get away from this bullshit.

The vax brainwashing got really obvious when I saw otherwise conservative, skeptical people having this kneejerk pro-vax response. You could tell it was programmed and not based on any kind of knowledge or experience. There are even dudes reading this comment experiencing it right now. Steam is pouring out their ears because someone questions their precious vaccine obsession. They never stop to really ask themselves why they bought into it so hard. Nor do they acknowledge that not all vaccines are created equal. They are literally just pro-injecting shit into human beings via needle. A douche bag lawyer like Avenatti (no medical expertise) could come out with his own vaccine and these pro-vaxxers would inject it into themselves because “vaccines work, bro”. It’s not even about what the vaccine is or what’s in it anymore. Just as long as it’s a needle that goes into people and the label says “vaccine”, they are for it. That is so stupid it’s like being “pro-pill”, and then eating every single pill anyone hands you because “dude, pills work”.

Perhaps because they’re so void of virtue, they’ll vigorously pursue any remote semblance thereto - especially when it costs them nothing personally.

One of the big problems is the refusal to study kids who may have had issues after vaccines, it is possible there is a subset of people with genetic predisposition, etc. who do have severe reactions, maybe autism, etc., however it just gets denied. Most kids are fine after childhood vaccines, but it would make sense to study those with sudden onset of symptoms to see if there is a marker that makes those kids react differently.

Most kids are fine after childhood vaccines

45% of children have autoimmune disorders. No, most kids are not fine.

Do you have a source for 45%?

The common one is the MTFR (?) gene mutation. If I remember correctly, it interferes with glutathione production and you’re at a much higher risk for adverse effects.

I've read 98% of kids with autism have this gene mutation, it's theorized this can interfere with neurological function since they can't process folic acid correctly and they have a diminished capacity to filter toxins, like what you'd find in vaccines, environmental pollution, heavy metals exposure, etc. which exacerbates the other physical problems. It makes perfect sense yet doctors don't test for this mutation or even mention it to women before they have kids. It only (maybe) gets brought up after a kid with autism is born or a woman has recurrent miscarriages. The rise in autism is probably being caused by a mixture of things, like too many vaccines, older parents whose bodies have accumulated these toxins, and all the fortified folic acid garbage people eat.

lol Do you suppose that's the real public health threat?

Some suburban mom from Oregon that spends too much time on Facebag whose one kid isn't vaccinated against fucking chickenpox?

Not the Afghan wandering in over the open border with no vaccination record ever even requested coming from a country experiencing its largest polio outbreak in 20 years?

One of my customers at my bar is an accountant who does a lot of hospital workers’ taxes. He said the more the hospital worker makes, the less likely they are to personally want to get the covid vaccine.
