This is a good move ousting Cheney. I will support MAGA Republicans. Stop the dooming.

TheOne1 135 points ago +139 / -4

But the replacement is a RINO and voted against Trump many times? How is this better? I say it's another smoke screen.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 94 points ago +96 / -2

This. Remain vigilant. Force them to make the statements that we want to hear, and hold their feet to the fire whenever they contradict them.

Most importantly, research and disseminate their ties to special interests, and other corrupt behavior.

TheOne1 53 points ago +54 / -1

We need to simply primary and replace all RINO's. Anyone who isn't MAGA must go.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 39 points ago +44 / -5

We've been trying that for years. The problem is that the RINO puppet masters simply prop up a candidate who SAYS all of the right things, and then turns around and double-crosses.

(Look at what happened on Sunday in Virginia, with the GOP Governor nomination. Amanda Chase was the MAGA candidate-- endorsed by General Flynn and polling above all others with the public. The Virginia GOP changed the nomination rules to prevent a public primary vote, and instead did a delegate convention where top donors picked the RINO candidate, who posed as a "outsider" trying to upend the establishment. The truth is he use to work for a Bush family hedgefund, and has deep ties to other RINO entities.)

Your solution is far too simplistic. You are playing checkers and your enemy is playing chess.

alien_observer 29 points ago +29 / -0

Replacing RINOs is what's happening. It's Trump's revolving door. Don't slow it down. The more sellout politicians we identify, the better. Run the revolving door until everyone knows how it works: MAGA or GTFO.

The Republican Party is your home, and it is infested. Don't surrender it to the pests, just clean it out.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 12 points ago +15 / -3

Yeah, except Trump has now come out and foolishly endorsed this Neocon. So he is now in the "Trump camp." See how this works? Being a reactionary (waiting for the neocons to win office to then expose them as traitors) is why we are on the losing side.

Is Glenn Youngkin better than Terry McAuliffe? Sure. But if Youngkin wins the election, Republican voters will again become complacent, believing that "their guy" is in office, while Youngkin's donors (who are Bush neocons and thus tied to the Clintons) continue business-as-usual, just under a "Republican" administration.

This is the cycle of "Controlled Opposition."

bluto36 1 point ago +5 / -4

Saltyminer11 1 point ago +1 / -0

We are fighting hard in my state from the precincts up. People are waking up here.

TheOne1 -7 points ago +4 / -11

So what do you suggest then? Political assassinations? If it's all locked up and "they" always win, why even think about a political solution. Sounds like dooming to me...

FrankWisner 10 points ago +10 / -0

1776 was the doomer revolution.

befehlistbefehl 7 points ago +7 / -0

And it was highly effective.

Kek_The_World 7 points ago +7 / -0

I suggest no more $$$ to the GOP. Money is the language they speak.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 7 points ago +7 / -0

Political Assassinations

How about Character Assassinations? The Left does this everyday, except most of what they are printing are lies or gross exaggerations of the truth.

Truth is the only weapon that can destroy Evil. So talk about the Money Laundering cycle that occurs in the Virginia General Assembly, where candidates from both parties shill for grant money for Non-Government Organizations (NGO's) and Non-Profit Organizations, and then those organizations turn around and make 5 and 6 figure donations to the same candidate's reelection campaign. (They are giving the politicians OUR tax money to run for reelection. This is illegal, but very common practice in every American legislature. Planned Parenthood is among the worst offenders, but "right-wing" NGO's are surely in on it, as well.)

Exposing this type of criminal behavior, and forcing real investigations into the matter, is how you dismantle the corrupt political machine. But it is going to require a unified and vigilant citizenry to perform, and we can only achieve unity by recognizing that RINO's and Democrats are 2 sides of the same corrupt coin. (They merely divide us into camps, and force us to fight one another.)

TheOne1 4 points ago +5 / -1

The left control almost all media. How do you propose we do what you said?

FrankWisner 15 points ago +17 / -2

NO. The GOP cannot be trusted.

If you still trust the GOP, you cannot be trusted.

the only sure way off the list is to leave politics.

/// yes there are more on the list

dr_gonzo 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is all well and good, but we're placing all of our attention on politicians instead of unelected bureaucrats. The real power in DC resides in all the federal departments that NONE of our politicians ever do anything about. In the last 50 years we've seen department after department created, each one a tyrannical bureaucracy imposing its will with the force of government. They remain from administration to administration. Lifelong, career bureaucrats.

So ya, we need to get control of congress and the executive branch, but that's meaningless if our guys don't start CLOSING entire federal departments. That's the ONLY way we begin untangling this authoritarian monstrosity we call a government.

We can start with the EPA, but the Dept of Education, ATF and a dozen others could, and should, go immediately.

Mrsattorney 14 points ago +17 / -3

She didn't bail on Trump when the Billy Bush tape came out. She effectively represented Trump in the 1st impeachment. President Trump and Jim Jordan support her. She's a very effective communicator who will be good at this leadership position. Don't throw away the good in pursuit of some unattainable ideal.

Hippopoonis 17 points ago +18 / -1

What about this? Elise Stefanik voted against entire America First agenda.

UsurperJoe 13 points ago +16 / -3

She will do the same "work" as Cheney. Israel First

Mrsattorney 0 points ago +3 / -3

This is misleading without knowing the circumstances of each vote. We would need to know Stefanik's rationale for her votes. Sometimes members of Congress vote in a particular way for good reason. For eg., Susan Collins is often given permission by leadership to vote with the Dems when her vote won't count (she represents a more liberal part of the country than the heartland). Sometimes, a member votes in a particular way to get a committee assignment where they can do more good, especially if their vote really won't be outcome determinative. Unfortunately, this is the way Congress operates right now. Hopefully, we can start to change things with the 2022 midterms.

Hippopoonis 6 points ago +6 / -0

"Sometimes, a member votes in a particular way to get a committee assignment where they can do more good, especially if their vote really won't be outcome determinative."

That's the problem with this country. You almost get it.

Mrsattorney 5 points ago +6 / -1

Oh, I get it entirely. The only way this system will change is from the bottom up. Hopefully, Dan Shultz will be successful in getting MAGA Americans to fill the 200k committeemen vacancies that existed in the GOP pyramid structure. These are the people who will determine future candidates for the Party. Donald Trump would be sitting in the WH right now were it not for the failure of feckless Republicans in our State Houses who sat on their asses as the election was stolen.

GuyOnABuffalo 2 points ago +11 / -9

Prudentwait 12 points ago +13 / -1

Trump also endorsed Mitch Mcconnell and Mitt Romney. This isn't something to celebrate.

JohnAdams -3 points ago +2 / -5

The alternative were Democrats. By default far worse.

Prudentwait 6 points ago +6 / -0

By endorsing/voting for those people, it sends a message that they are acceptable to voters and we end up getting more of it. Maybe the GOP should lose if they put up horrible candidates who spit in the faces of their voters.

ArriveViolently 8 points ago +8 / -0

That is hyperbole, but the reason people are critical as needed is because conservatives are smart. They can look themselves in the mirror and call a spade a spade. They know sitting around and pretending all is well, or that small patches of hope will keep the ship from sinking, is the surest way to drown. They know there is no point in a circlejerk, and they know that pretending there aren't major issues with the way Trump handled things will not help us to avoid those pitfalls again.

GuyOnABuffalo 1 point ago +3 / -2

Libertas_Vel_Mors 4 points ago +9 / -5

This. Precisely this.

It has to start with us. We can kick the neocons out and win by larger margins... large enough to tell any surviving RINOs to go join the democrat party where they belong.

UsurperJoe 6 points ago +6 / -0

bluto36 3 points ago +3 / -0

or they can shut up and get on the bus

im fine either way as long as they know we are MAGA and we control the party

ColonelTravis 4 points ago +6 / -2

Congressional Republicans have never fought for anything. They need to get a few practice swings, before they go for the big game. Even if it’s just a RINO-con, the younger crowd can build on it. If communists can build a movement off of fake democrats, why can’t we use fake republicans, to our devices?

phandaal 3 points ago +3 / -0

That is not true. Congressional Republicans fight tooth and nail to maintain their position as false opposition to their friends in the Democrat party.

They fought Trump with everything they had from the moment he announced his candidacy.

Republicans are fighters. They just fight against your interests and mine.

The GOP only 'fights' when they're in the minority (or split government), knowing it won't do anything.

Then they use that as a campaign/donation slogan.

Rinse & repeat for decades.

Libertas_Vel_Mors 14 points ago +16 / -2

This is why we need to do an insurrection on the GOP, starting at the local level, working our way up.

The sooner we can take it all over and kick every RINO to the curb, the better. GEOTUS has shown the way, we just have to rise up and follow his example... recent elections have proven that America First candidates win handily in most cases, so it's not like we don't have a blueprint and a means to get there.

Cesare_Borgia 5 points ago +6 / -1

Yep. Our system pretty much ensures only two viable parties. Taking over the gop is the only viable way if we're still talking about voting.

nds19 3 points ago +4 / -1

Precinct committeeman strategy.. Hint: it works. My state is seeing that already

phandaal 4 points ago +4 / -0

And yet, it works. Even here you get people cheerleading for GOP when they say the Magic Conservative Words or "own a lib" in a committee meeting.

Sad truth is that most people are too weak to judge someone once and for all. They make a wishy washy half judgment and then beg that person to let them change their minds.

deleted 3 points ago +4 / -1
masticator_nord 3 points ago +3 / -0

They'll start their own party, then when a portion of the new party doesn't conform exactly to their beliefs they'll split again and form another new party.

zooty 1 point ago +1 / -0

The problem with being a splitter is that a lot of the people who come with you are absolute nutjobs. With that said, I think it would be good to take both approaches. The UKIP was instrumental in getting Brexit passed even though they didn't stand a real chance as a political party.

masticator_nord 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't know the situation with the UKIP, so I can't speak to that.

The thing with the GOP is that there are so many low information voters and loyalists who do/would support the MAGA platform but would never vote for anybody without the magic (R) by their name.

My grandma listens to Fox/conservative radio all day. She's super conservative. However, it's hard for me to imagine her voting for somebody who's not a Republican no matter how much a candidate aligns with her values.

The problem with Republicans are the leaders, not the everyday party member. Starting a new party is no guarantee of fixing the problem of grifters making their way into leadership. The only way to prevent that is us getting involved and doing the job.

Yesterday the RINOs were talking about starting their own party. I say make them do it. They're the ones who don't fit in the party, not us.

iDinduNuffin 1 point ago +1 / -0

The only way to prevent that is us getting involved and doing the job.

How's that going to happen?

masticator_nord 1 point ago +1 / -0

The problem is that the people who are involved in politics and run for any positions are people who want to gain and consolidate power. This is true for every political party. Creating a new one won't stop that. What needs to happen is that the people who hate politics and don't want to gain power need to take those positions.

How to do that has been the big question for all of political history.

iDinduNuffin 1 point ago +1 / -0

Seems like the first step would be to help people lose the mindset that wanting to gain power is a bad thing

deleted 1 point ago +1 / -0
Tendies_or_GTFO 2 points ago +3 / -1

amilbarge21 3 points ago +4 / -1

SgtCool 3 points ago +5 / -2

EdgeGuy 2 points ago +2 / -0

This times 1000. We have to face some hard truths. Biden never could have gotten into office without the full support of every member of the GOP. The truth we must confront is that our entire political process is rigged. Until we come to that truth and accept it, we can't move forward.

Every establishment career politician in the GOP knew what would happen if the democraps won. They would throw open the border, shoehorn a bunch of illegals into the country, get them to VOTE (which is against the law, by the way) and the GOP would likely never win another election ever again.

The GOP, to the last of them, KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN. But they didn't fight against it. They rolled over and let the democraps bulldoze them, and take near-complete control of the country.

WHY?? Why would the lot of them commit career suicide???

What are they hiding......?

That's what scares me. Lots of closets, stuffed full with lots of really rotten skeletons............
