I know some nations make it real easy for your average person to file taxes, you basically just fill out a little card and you're done. And you usually get back a sizeable return since its rare that they do deductions properly.
Sure the tax code favors the ultra rich, they lobby for loopholes and so forth, but people who happen to make a lot of money (relative to the median income) get hosed, big time. 47% of the workforce pay ZERO in income tax. The top 1% pay almost half of all income taxes, and “the elites” have loopholes to pay next to nothing, it’s a really distorted bell curve.
Yes. The government should be able to simplify taxes so we get a simple bill in the mail or a refund check. It should have never reached the point it is at...they talk about voter disenfranchisement for people trying to get ID’s, but look at the crap people have to do to file taxes. Government! Bunch of BS
