Personally I'm a fan of minefields like the Korean DMZ

Good idea. No long term costs

I submit a deep long canal from the gulf to Cali for domestic and international shipping. Alligator optional. Then the mine field, then electrified minefields. then a big beautiful wall.

Come in the right way or put American Ninja to shame first.

Shots should be fired at anyone trying to enter this country illegally

Technically? Yes. Politically? No. Too much corruption

Yeah, that and it would a week or less and the wall would be lined with mud huts with jumper cables attached to the wall

Walls work both ways

What's the point of a wall, electrified or not, when your own government officials want invaders in your country.

Your government wants you dead. Get it through your head before your people are eradicated.

We get it. But as long as states are considering building their own wall it should be more fortified.

I'm all for physical deterrence, but a wall is useless when those in charge of protecting it open the door to allow invaders. The most fortified wall in the world cannot match the utility of ending welfare or removing communists. Tax dollars spent on these two things are a much better use of money.
