BoltCarrierGroup 23 points ago +24 / -1

Oh no! Not the letters.

Lets put some bold print, then we really have them this time!

JimmyNelson 11 points ago +11 / -0

Did you see the capital letters? Dude was pissed!

Just as long as it's not Comic Sans.

ColonelTravis 6 points ago +6 / -0

Is there a tragic sans?

B_Sack 1 point ago +1 / -0

Let us not ignore the fact that Grassley will be creating Old English font documents to be air dropped all over DC.

Nixon did nothing wrong

basedvirginian 21 points ago +22 / -1

Would someone mind explaining the whole watergate thing? I’m 100% sure my knowledge on it is propaganda so I want to know the real deal

Edit: ugh, I shouldn’t be surprised at this point how corrupt the Swamp is. Just bitter that I can’t watch All the President’s Men anymore

IAmTheSenate 47 points ago +47 / -0

Some people in Nixon's campaign did a thing. The Obama administration did the same thing and far worse to thousands of people literally every day for years. And nobody cared.

That's super TL;DR. But basically some dumb shits on Nixon's campaign broke into the DNC HQ in the watergate hotel to steal campaign data and stuff and got caught.

Nixon resigned because he tried to coverup the whole thing

BigFreedomBoner 22 points ago +23 / -1

in retrospect, most likely, the campaign staffers (who were never punished) were dnc operatives

watergate was a complete con.

deleted 3 points ago +4 / -1
basedvirginian 1 point ago +1 / -0

It was well known within Beltway journalism circles that Nixon was paranoid.

They used this absolutely disaster of a coverup as a way to justify bringing personality flaws up as a way to smear politicians

Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's just it. Watergate was an attempt to overturn the results of a landslide election. And it worked. Sound familiar?

Barracuda 27 points ago +27 / -0

Problem with Watergate is the American people were only ever told 1 side of the story.

TLDR;. People from the Nixon Administration broke into the DNC and got caught during the break in. (iirc) 5/6 were from the CIA. Someone name 'Deep Throat' was giving leaks to the press mostly WaPo ran the story. (WaPo was still family owned at the time) shortly thereafter they sold. Before facing impeachment on the ordeal Nixon resigned.

What never came to light is what they were looking into, (A. I imagine the DNC was up to some nefarious activity or B. It was a huge plant to get Nixon out)

idshukhov 13 points ago +13 / -0

A guy named E Howard Hunt was a failed CIA operative that got stuck on the domestic desk (that was legal back then) because he was involved in the Bay of Pigs fiasco. He shows up in Scorsese's House Painter btw, that's him unloading guns in Miami.

While there he spied on the Goldwater campaign in '64. Everyone in between him and LBJ claims they had no idea this was happening, but the President's speech writers used his work to front run the Goldwater campaign. When this came to light during the Church hearings in the 70's they blamed a mid level CIA administrator who had passed away a few years before. What a coincidence and still no explanation why LBJ's staff was using information they received from the CIA.

E Howard Hunt retires from the CIA in the mid 60's and starts selling his services as an independent contractor. Richard Nixon hires him for his "committee to re-elect the president" which had the unfortunate initials CREEP. Some of his employees who were looking for intel on the McCarthy campaign (Nixon's opponent in '72) get caught burglarizing the Watergate hotel. Nixon goes down because he lied about his knowledge of it although there still isn't any proof he was aware of this specific operation.

Later presidents like Clinton have been caught boldface lying in legal cases against them and it no longer mattered. Its the game they play best - creating an unlevel playing field where they can cheat but if you do then you get prosecuted for the smallest offense.

Its one of those things China and Russia have copied from our control system. When Xi Jinping starts an anti-corruption campaign in a country where corruption is necessary to get ahead, its very easy for him to pick out only his political rivals. Or when the one Russian oligarch starts feeling guilty and confessing all their misdeeds, he gets prosecuted while Putin's loyal oligarchs remain.

Antisocialdilemma 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nixon foolishly thought the deep state wanted to win the Vietnam War so he bombed the shit out of their supply lines in the neighboring countries. Big no no. The cia activated their assets in his campaign(sound familiar?) to "commit a crime" and put Nixon between covering for his "allies" (Rock) or exposing them(Hard Place), not understanding that the ones he was protecting were setting him up. (Trump didn't fall for it and obstruct justice like they hoped) See if you can find out why the "recordings" from the Watergate hotel were never produced. Only transcripts of the "recordings."(sound familiar ...Vindman)

SurfingUSA 6 points ago +6 / -0

It was an FBI coup by Mark Felt who got passed over for a promotion. A warm-up for Russiagate.

basedvirginian 7 points ago +7 / -0

He was deep throat right?

Correct, his minions did.

one3five 35 points ago +35 / -0

the worst part of that story ...

...a VFW representative telling him that they could no longer allow him to use the VFW hall for his press conference after they allegedly received threats from someone or some group for allowing DePerno to use their facility for his press conference

Veterans of Foreign Wars bowing to threats

zkSfp 29 points ago +29 / -0

The VFW caved in to threats? Threats about having a guy exposing fraud?

The fucking veterans of foreign wars?

What fucking kind of post is this!?!?

King_Boobus_Toobus 20 points ago +20 / -0

Have the place swept for bugs.

TheNotSoEvilEngineer 6 points ago +6 / -0

Bugs and check the computers. More than likely they infected at least one. Or there is a rogue USB drive in there now.

AlphaNathan 16 points ago +16 / -0

Will any court hold them accountable?

basedvirginian 8 points ago +8 / -0

Assuming we have a functioning justice system in 2021 lol

Canlog96 9 points ago +9 / -0

The injustice system is functioning just as intended

y_do_i_need_to_hide 4 points ago +4 / -0

Only if we make them, then they will pretend they were always going to do it. Just like masks. Now that we're not wearing them, they're telling us that we all got the vaccine.

Siteless_Vagrant 15 points ago +15 / -0

I really wish people would stop saying Watergate. Stop comparing everything to Watergate. We've gone so far past the severity of Watergate, where we are now makes that look silly.

Liberty_Prime [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

I hate it, too. But breaking into a law office in the dead of night to investigate your political opposition has like one parallel.

maleitch 2 points ago +6 / -4

It is weird how all of current day phrasing and references all go back to some leftist baseline. As if there was one ideology which directed all language and culture

therighteousdontfear 12 points ago +12 / -0

Police were called to investigate the break-in and it was determined that nothing was stolen. The real question is, who broke into DePerno’s office and what were they looking for?

No, the real question is was his office broken into?. They dance around the point. I don't trust TGP any more. They said police were called and it was determined that nothing was stolen. They didn't say police determined that, or that the police established that there was a break-in.

Full story or f-off.

America1stAndOnly 5 points ago +6 / -1

You're very good at catching the subtly of their weasel words.

The dnc is a terrorist org

Knowthyself 9 points ago +9 / -0

The VFW cucked out of his press conference and canceled at the last minute because they caved to the woke mob.

Let them know how it makes you feel.

Surprised it wasn't raided by FBI/CIA/DOJ then burned to he ground for national security reasons.

HKgoneWild 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fiery but mostly peaceful raid resulting in a single death?

prayinpede 8 points ago +8 / -0

They will apparently fight a foreign war but not a domestic one

BaltimoreCrew 7 points ago +7 / -0

Need to find a non cucked VFW or some local farmers big ass pole barn, whatever.

maga_mama_757 7 points ago +7 / -0

DePerno, 8:10 am: ATTENTION: Press conference has been moved to the American Legion Post, 1231 Hastings St., Traverse City, MI at 11:00 AM

shame on the veterans that didn't stand up to this in the name of freedom and liberty. they need to turn in their soldiering cards; they are not worthy.

don't be an ass. but i gar-on-tee you the leadership of that vfw discussed this and came to a decision. there's a strict chain of command in the vfw; it's not just a bar.

Observe95 7 points ago +7 / -0

The sad part is MI GOP is doing nothing to help him. They are fighting him instead of joining forces to stop voter fraud that has existed for decades.

Dr. Linder Tarver said there are some counties that have never been able to balance. There is systematic fraud in these places. https://www.bitchute.com/video/iE6TTDsBfhLN/

TheNotSoEvilEngineer 5 points ago +5 / -0

Broke in to plant taps and Trojans. More than likely there is a rogue USB stick in that office just waiting for someone to plug it in.

Smdlegend 3 points ago +3 / -0

You would think a fucking VFW would be one of the last places to worry about a fucking threat...

Balzenburg 2 points ago +2 / -0

These are good signs! The more they deny and dodge AZ audit and these type of actions shows their hand.

Observe95 1 point ago +1 / -0

What is Mr. Police Chief "thinking of running for the governorship" doing about this?

Sheprecon31 1 point ago +1 / -0

To late I'm afraid to say, they did it and did it big no one stoped them or even tryed to intervene call me what ever you want until you really fight for what is right there's nothing a court or investigation will do not dooming at all look around even the UK are bringing out voter ID the fucking UK they have seen it THE BIG LIE stop being a number or a stat and fucking take your country back FFS

Tryan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Until the 13 bloodline families are killed nothing gets better.

3-10 1 point ago +1 / -0

Except Watergate was done to prove that Democrats were funding their party with prostitution, this is to prevent proving a crime was committed in the election.

HockeyMom4Trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Seems totally legit if there is no cheating in an election, right?

MrJimLahey 1 point ago +1 / -0

Someone from TGP must lurk here. They use a lot of our terminology.

Deperno must be "Over the target" :)
