I do not have kids. I always say sounds nice in theory but not sure how much I'd enjoy it in practice. I'm older- getting to old now... most friends are married/kids but a few aren't.

One that isn't is ALWAYS talking about how kids are overrated and think how much money it cost and blah blah blah... and I always think to myself, you really wish you had kids, don't you? lol. Like you said, it's a tell.

ZhaoBaiDeng 12 points ago +12 / -0

The people I know with kids tell me not to have them. Maybe it's more of a reflection on them but I'm pretty good with my choices and don't bring it up until someone else does.

NoStumpyTrumpy 14 points ago +14 / -0

Wow...I can't imagine telling people not to have kids. If anything, I tell them to start earlier than I did. I'm going to be 52 when my son graduates high school. I envy my old classmates who have kids that are already in high school. More active, healthy years with both kids and grandkids!

But seriously, if folks say don't have kids, they had best be joking. They are the most wonderful thing ever and really put all of life into perspective.

Yea, my parents had me late and now I'm reaping the "rewards". They are both gone.

NoStumpyTrumpy 7 points ago +7 / -0

Unfortunately mine wasn't for lack of trying. Took us forever despite years of trying.

PowTimesTwo 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah, in my early 20s I asked my dad when he stopped feeling like a kid/teenager and started feeling like an adult, and he said the day I was born(first born). Now that I have kids, it's like a huge partition in my life. Basically like living for yourself vs. living for something more than yourself.

Ha - I’ll be 57 when my last son graduates high school. Took a long time for me to break through the programming. Nothing is more important than family.

Kids are strange because you don't really know you want them until you have them. I suspect it's partially instinct and hormones that don't come into play unless you have kids.

If you hate basketball do you talk about how much you hate basketball all the time? Probably not.

I hate basketball.

The only conversations I ever have about basketball are with bartenders when I ask them to turn off the basketball and find something worth watching.

She is a little broken inside. She miscarried per her twatter account. That kind of hurt never leaves you when the baby you looked forward to loving is gone.

Might just be trying to make a joke. Sometimes people try to have kids, but can't.

4
koditxu 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes, and that’s sad. But I think it’s easier to accept that you tried and it didn’t work out (while still youngish), rather than figuring out you actually want kids but you waited too long and it will never happen because you fucked up.

3
Cool_Coolidge 3 points ago +3 / -0

@ 31 you can still have plenty of kids. Definitely still making babies into our 30s.

5
Liberty4All 5 points ago +5 / -0

Exactly.

2
blastmcpt 2 points ago +2 / -0

i mean she wants children she had a miscaridge though it more was just a self deprecating joke

21
Lol_Garrus 21 points ago +25 / -4

This is sad.

22
DickTick 22 points ago +22 / -0

Fuck that..... Why do people from my side always say shit like that? do you really want these fucking idiots multiplying?

6
zillat 6 points ago +7 / -1

Exactly, best not to get them thinking about it, let them drift through life unaware and then die miserable. Not our responsibility to wake them up. On another note, any pede's out there stop fucking around, settle down and multiply, I know it is hard to find a good women but you can if you put in the effort....

Right! Literally would do anything for my boys, no hesitation.

5
blastmcpt 5 points ago +5 / -0

especially when you learn the context that she tried having a child and had a miscarrige

19
2008RonPaul2012 19 points ago +19 / -0

I read this as self aware humor, where she does want kids. The fact that her only meaning is marvel movies is the joke. I don't think she is celebrating not having kids. Maybe I'm wrong?

Edit: just went to her Twitter. She is married, and she had a miscarriage.

7
blastmcpt 7 points ago +7 / -0

oh so she wants kids and that makes sense why she made a self deprecating remark as she is probably still coping with the loss of the child

18
VictorLaszlo20 18 points ago +23 / -5

You're not a whole person until you have kids

19
DickTick 19 points ago +20 / -1

But let's be honest, do you really want these fucking morons multiplying?

13
AngelMark 13 points ago +13 / -0

The same morons who voted for Obama twice are getting vaccinated so hopefully that will take care of the problem!

12
HuggableBear 12 points ago +12 / -0

Having kids usually adjusts your priorities and perspectives enormously. There's a reason the most conservative segment of society are the ones with a stable family and lots of kids still in the house.

7
ArizonaDesertRat2021 7 points ago +7 / -0

Personally, my better half and I wanted kids earlier but it just didn’t happen for a while. I don’t think it helps to “shame” people into having kids, especially if they aren’t married. I’m guessing Elizabeth deals with these personal questions with humor. I took her Marvel-ous response as a polite trolling.

3
blastmcpt 3 points ago +3 / -0

well she had a miscarrige

5
blastmcpt 5 points ago +5 / -0

This is supposed to be a joke as she is married and had a miscarrige and she is still working through those issues.

Source went to her twitter after a user here mentioned this.

4
HiddenDekuScrub 4 points ago +4 / -0

Marvel has jumped the shark. Good luck to them!

4
Gnometard 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just meet women in their 30s, you'll find them to be miserable people. They hide it if they can but they're still miserable

3
WindyCityBluez 3 points ago +3 / -0

Is anybody gonna tell him that marvel movies are gonna be woke trash?

3
gregariousbarbarian 3 points ago +3 / -0

What's truly sad about this post isn't the denial, it's that of all entertainment to distract from childlessness she chooses Marvel. Jfl.

3
CHY-NAH 3 points ago +4 / -1

Thats a duuuuuuuuude

MAGAsJustBegun 3 points ago +3 / -0

Family is the best thing in life, literally.

If I could choose my future, I'd choose to raise healthy children, with a wife I love, who likes to go to church and Trump rallies

I'd choose that over being a billionaire without love or family!

The two most important things in life are family, then health. I say family first, because I'd rather have healthy children than be healthy myself without children.

Family is the #1 thing in life!

ENVYNITAZ [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Amen Fren.

Did Elizabeth just burn herself? Because that seems like a pretty depressing life...

3
blastmcpt 3 points ago +3 / -0

2
Wintergreen 2 points ago +2 / -0

3
blastmcpt 3 points ago +3 / -0

She tried having a child and had a miscarrige this is kinda of a shitty take when you look at it in that light

3
CaptainButthurt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Meh... I stand by my statement.

TruthSetMeFree 1 point ago +1 / -0

You know what goes good with a good movie? A family to watch it with lol. Well that used to be the case since all movies these days are very thinly veiled propaganda
