Here is one interpretation....

Bottom line from today's VoterGA lawsuit.

Judge Amero granted the motion to unseal the ballots, but will only allow the Fulton County employees themselves to scan the ballots to a 600dpi uncompressed resolution, and have the VoterGA forensic experts present during the process.

62
FTR22 62 points ago +64 / -2

The judge is attempting to split the baby so to speak. Have the county employee handle the ballots but have the experts present for every ballot. Everyone pretty much knows that the experts are looking for the watermark with all the mail in ballots.

52
MarginofFraud 52 points ago +52 / -0

This. As long as there's actual oversight and not "stand 6 feet away and look" this might actually be worthwhile. It's not a great audit scenario, but if it's used to find watermarks, as you mentioned, that could be an interesting scenario.

Robiscore98 28 points ago +28 / -0

Its being used to see if they were machine printed. The allegations were that were ~30k counterfeit ballots among the nearly 150k mail ins for Fulton County

6
joefreed2020 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yea on War Room- John Fredericks was talking about around 20,000 pristine mail in ballots.

A 30 year poll worker already testified UNDER OATH that the ballots she looked at were not folded and did not feel like ballots she had counted before. Also she said the chain of custody was not there . This judge needs to allow a FULL FORENSIC AUDIT like Arizona .

1
Robiscore98 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is the exact thing they're going to check for in this scanning. Georgia could be the first to fall

7
KonyHawk_ProSlaver 7 points ago +7 / -0

What is the origin of that saying? When would someone do this?

20
FreedomBoner13 20 points ago +20 / -0

TLDR: It is referring to when King Solomon proposed to two women fighting over who a baby belonged to that they split baby in half so that they could share. It was trick to see who truly cared about the well being of the child.

13
BaldEagle1337 13 points ago +13 / -0

Its Biblical. King Solomon ordered a baby to be cut in half because 2 women both said they baby was theirs. One woman was ok with the judgment and the other conceded and said instead allow the other woman to take a whole uncut baby. The baby was awarded in full to the woman that conceded since King Solomon knew that a mother would rather her child live than be with another and die.

It's not a great analgesic comment and it could imply the judge is trying to trick someone into giving away their hand and I don't think that's happening here.

9
OPsMom 9 points ago +9 / -0

https://www.infobloom.com/what-does-it-mean-to-split-the-baby.htm

It's from the Bible. Kings chapter 3. And keep on going. It's literally life changing.

2
SowellWasRight 2 points ago +9 / -7

It's from the bible when they were deciding who would be the new king by having the baby crawl toward one of the potential candidates, but one of them cheated by having bacon in his pocket to lure the baby, so they cut the baby in half so each would only partially rule which became the origin of the Sanhedrin and Pharisees political parties.

4

Also the origin of the rule that Jews can't eat bacon unless they're really sure nobody is looking.

Is 600dpi high or low res?

22
UrShulgi 22 points ago +22 / -0

In the grand scheme of current imaging technology, it's pretty low. But for printing, it's just fine. 300 dpi is considered optimal for a standard A1 paper sized sign.

Very high res.

Still, don't know what they expect to find. The steal was in the mail-in. The ballots have to be examined for multiple instances of same hand writing styles, despite different names .. that requires interpretation of the examiner.

2
NvJohansson 2 points ago +2 / -0

The basic standard for office use is 300dpi which is considered HD and good for any print document for legal or presentation use. If you're going to start making high quality commercial flyers then you might go up to 600 dpi.

4
RobezTobez 4 points ago +4 / -0

There is already video evidence of that

3
PorchLightOn 3 points ago +3 / -0

VoterGA has limited what they're asking for from the start; no examination of the machines themselves, no signature matching, no canvassing. They've asked for a visual and forensic inspection of the 145,000 absentee ballots; they've asked for the ballots to be scanned at 600 dpi (uncompressed files), and for the standard Dominion election reports that Fulton county uses to run elections.

They did have an expert witness testify this morning mentioning the use of UV and infrared light to do a forensic examination of the ballots. The judge doesn't want anyone but county clerk staff to physically touch the ballots, so next meeting on Friday is to figure out the logistics of how to do this.

Garland Favarito points out that they could ask to expand the scope of discovery later, based on what they find. Also, additional lawsuits could be filed to expand the scope. I know it's a narrow audit compared to AZ, but it can lead to important discoveries regardless, and it could be just another step.

3
PorchLightOn 3 points ago +3 / -0

I registered to watch the hearing by Webex when the livestream didn't work. One part will be scanning all the ballots at 600 dpi, but it sounds like there will be a physical inspection as well. Next meeting on Friday will attempt to decide how they do that.

Two expert witnesses testified, including one who specializes in analyzing paper and ink. She mentioned using UV and infrared; judge seemed OK with that, as long as they can figure out how to do it without auditors touching the ballots. He wants county clerk staff to do all the physical handling of the ballots.

5
Keiichi81 5 points ago +5 / -0

Sure is great that all these GOPers in swing states are calling for audits now, more than half a year after the election so that guilty parties have had plenty of time to hide or destroy evidence, instead of immediately after the election when Trump was calling for them.

6
ShyRipley 6 points ago +6 / -0

No, you are missing info. This Fulton County inspection? VoterGA has been fighting for it since at least December, I think, and have had to jump thru all the legal challenges by the other side in order to get this far.

The AZ Senate started their push for the full forensic audit in late December, beginning with subpoenas for the ballots and voting machine information. They too have had to deal with legal challenges and the dragging of feet by the other side.

So yeah, it seems like they are just calling for audits now. Behind the scenes, or out of the general public view more like it, patriots have been grinding away for like five months. God bless 'em all.

4
PorchLightOn 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's right. I think the Bill Bailey/DePerno lawsuit in Antrim Co Michigan was filed in late November, and VoterGA's case was filed in early December.

It just seems like nothing is happening, because these cases fall out of the news in between hearings...and there's a total media blackout of any kind of coverage. (Until a case is dismissed, that is; then all the major networks scramble to get statements from Matt DePerno, because they want to play it up as a loss, even though it's not.)

That's why I love this site. We can keep each other up to date, ear to the ground, and spread the word.

In the hearing, lawyers for VoterGA.org described large discrepancies (21%) between the number of ballot batches reported by the GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger who certified the election, and the number of ballot batches actually provided by court-ordered access in the previous April hearing in the case.
