I like the idea of what Gab is and what it stands for but it’s CEO is garbage, and honestly makes all the wrong decisions.
He should focus more on making Gab better, getting investors that will streamline projects, rather than his current route. Gab might have actually made more progress if he wasn’t trying to be a political commentator.

The problem with free speech online, especially on a platform like gab, is it’s too easy to be a bot or a troll, where as something like Facebook Twitter or even real life, most people don’t say half of the stupid shit you see on gab because it’s not shit people would ever say to someone. it’s too easy to hide behind a keyboard and an anonymous username these days.
I think what needs to happen is a free speech platform that actually makes users sign up, with their names, and email, verify they’re a real person, and doesn’t sell that users data. Basically Facebook 2.0 but for free speech and without the banning and is also privacy conscious.
Yeah you can say whatever you want and won’t be banned it’s all free speech. But I think you would find you wouldn’t have as many trolls and people screaming out “fuck the Jews,” or other stupid things trolls and bots say just to stir the shit, and if those people still wanted to say shit like that so be it, but then people would know who to avoid, block, etc.
I think there are ways to have certain conversations in a civil way, about controversial subjects that are on Gab without blatantly screaming profanity, and anti semitism; and coming across as a troll, or a complete douche.
