The dummy in the background has the complete coronabro starterpack: face diaper and "Hogwarts" t-shirt. Why do lefties always live their adult lives in children's fantasy regalia?

Because they’ve never mentally grown up. So that makes them mentally retarded.

I am an old man and know by virtue of observation and experience that the more idealistic the person the more immature the person, and the more realistic the person the more mature the person, regardless of age.

yes all republicans are children

21

Hence the reason Leftists hate them. They would murder them in the womb if they could, like they love doing to children. You can't hide from God though and when He comes for you all your pride won't save you.

-10
nankingRoastie -10 points ago +2 / -12

Well I was just making the point to palazzo that stating "idealists are immature, and realists are mature" was a fucking moronic thing to say.

Idealism was the point of the 1776 "insurrection"

Idealism is the point of holding to classical liberal values like Thomas Paine and Bastiat.

14
ObviatingTyranny 14 points ago +14 / -0

It's pragmatism. The founding fathers were for the most part classically trained and educated. They understood History very well, and modeled our republic after the pre-Emperor Roman government, with tweaks to stave off the inevitable collapse or tyranny.

It wasn't idealism at all, it was pure realism. Pure pragmatism. That's why the checks and balances, that's why the intentionally limited government.

What they didn't know was that near the core of all failed states are periods of decadence and unearned prosperity. Makes the people lazy. Too lazy for civic-mindedness.

5
Jimmyprawns 5 points ago +5 / -0

Which leads to erosion of the checks and balances.

4
cottage_to_curaga 4 points ago +4 / -0

They also learned checks and balances from native american treaties at the time which were the only thing stopping the natives from mass warfare.

They had the brains to use information from all sources.

3
Daddy_Knows_Best 3 points ago +3 / -0

i'd argue that reality led to 1776. they understood their reality and it sucked so bad they did something about it.

Why is she wearing a t-shirt anyway? I'm assuming she works there, because she's got a clipboard and is overweight. Is this the standard now for the dress code? Sloppy crap you'd wear at Walmart? I thought teachers had to wear business casual stuff.

There was a video of some other teacher having a fit (a kid asked her why straight kids couldn't have the unicorn cupcakes she'd brought for LBQWERTYs) and she was in a t-shirt too. That fat woman who called a kid names because he wasn't masked was in a bizarre sloppy outfit too.

56
Donarudo_Taranpu 56 points ago +56 / -0

Yup. Take your children out of public schools. They'd learn more reading books or hiking in the woods then they'll ever learn from the fat slobs running the state daycare.

21
IcedCovfefe 21 points ago +21 / -0

Lunch ladies, crossing guards, and school bus drivers should dress better than this, let alone teachers.

18
anotherthing 18 points ago +18 / -0

I used to have to visit schools as part of my job. I can confirm this is how teachers have been dressing for the last decade. I made a comment to a person that worked for me that this is one of the reasons why the educational system is such shit these days, teachers don't take pride in how they dress for their position so they probably don't take much pride in any other aspect. It also goes to the idea of "Demanding authority" as opposed to "Commanding authority".

7
Jimmyprawns 7 points ago +7 / -0

These people are nothing but half trained curriculum presenters. The shit they spout is more canned than what a news anchor reads from a teleprompter.

They wonder why no one takes them seriously when one of the kids in her class could probably do a better job. Just tell them what pages in the teacher's edition to go over and turn them loose.

Once worked with a guy who, in the 90s mind you, had so pissed of his math teacher by contradicting him, unintentionally, with reasoned questions that in a fit of rage the teacher blurted, "fine!!! you teach the class if you think you can do it better."

He called the bluff, walked up to the front and started reading from the teachers edition and writing out examples on the board. Finished off with "2 through 28 even" and left the room. Absolute savage.

He ultimately dropped out. Finished a GED and was working construction when I crossed paths with him. It's easy to shit talk our ed system and leave it at that, but we have a lot of wasted potential in this country because of these idiots and thier bullshit fantasies.

3
Pede3 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lunch ladies, crossing guards, and bus drivers are often retired people and don't make that much money, relatively speaking. I wouldn't expect business casual, but a plain shirt would be better than something from Five Below. Teachers - yea, they should dress in business casual when around students, unless it's a designated casual day (field trip, school spirit event, etc.).

14
Return_Of_The_LAMFF 14 points ago +14 / -0

In these trying times we shall only dress in capeshit & wizardry t-shirts.

3
Pede3 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm embarrassed for her, especially with white hair. I'm assuming that she is in her 50s.

14
nankingRoastie 14 points ago +14 / -0

Feminism and 16 year olds fought for ages to wear slutwear in school, as well as anything else they wanted! How dare you shame a woman for how she chooses to dress!

Seriously im thankful the whale covered her shame with a baggy windsock.

9
Jimmytraficantsghost 9 points ago +9 / -0

17

You know what; at her age, I was an F student, I didn't care about school - or the whole process of "Participating" - I saw school for what it was, a waste of my fucking time.

If there were dumb fucking rules like this when I was in school, I would break them just to be forced to leave... Like, literally, Don't threaten me with what I want.

34
Donald_Gear_Solid 34 points ago +34 / -0

LOL I skipped classes I hated.. so they punished me to stay home!

30

You didn't come to school?! - your punishment for skipping school is DON'T COME TO SCHOOL!

🤨Uh. okay.

25
Donald_Gear_Solid 25 points ago +26 / -1

That's why I tell my kids: I just want you to graduate, and after if you want to be a welder I will be so proud of you. Join the military (hopefully not still fucked by then) and I will be even more proud. School is just daycare. Read well, and know basic math and I am happy. American school is mostly just to learn how to deal with people you dislike, education second.

I've heard great stories of electricians drilling holes through framing for wires. Coming back the next day and finding water pipes through them all!

7
RedditIs4Retards 7 points ago +7 / -0

My coworker and I drilled holes for our pathway. By the time we were done drilling out the floor, the plumbers had taken much of our pathway.

So my coworker cut their pipe out lmao. They were pissed and told the general contractor. GC said "tough shit, don't steal other people's work and hours" and we didn't have any more problems after that.

5
peltast 5 points ago +5 / -0

This. Plumber I hired for house work was working for standard local rates. 3 hours work, with about 45 dollars worth of parts? How does 1000 bucks sound?? He got it.

5
RedditIs4Retards 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's not the material and labor you're paying for... It's the tools, experience, and knowledge.

5
IM_A_TRIVIAL_PURSUIT 5 points ago +5 / -0

CORRECT.

YOU'RE PAYING $1000 FOR THE $20,000 WORTH OF WATER DAMAGE YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET FROM INSTALLING $45 WORTH OF PARTS INCORRECTLY..

3
peltast 3 points ago +3 / -0

I know that. Just highlighting that a plumber can make the bucks.

3
RedditIs4Retards 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fuck unions but local 46 electrical union just received a $15.50 proposal over next 3 years. Journeyman will be making 70-75 (currently 61).

Massive downside is... You have to live in king county and most likely work in Seattle.

5
Antisocialdilemma 5 points ago +6 / -1

You can tell which ones used to work for the union. They complain all the time and think they know everything and then install a toilet and it leaks.

2
RedditIs4Retards 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm staying long enough to get my license (less than a year). Everyone I talk to says it's not worth the trouble to be unemployed because it's too much work and make almost as much in the union.

I always want to tell them that they're just lazy and don't make much more due to it.

All my self employed electrician friends are doing great for themselves, better than foremen or general foremen, and constantly take vacations.

Union workers rag on non union, but turns out most union workers are actually the lazy ones.

Not just America, schools worldwide are just a lesson in how to deal with people or groups with the same brainwashed ideology.

3
nankingRoastie 3 points ago +5 / -2

SChool is what you make of it. Try your best to get your value from it.

School is daycare for people who don't work hard. School is only a guidance.

Disregarding CRT, SJW, and Transactivist garbage, school is about orderly and pointed education plans that children don't get stuck or bogged down. The real teacher is the child themselves.

2
Vino 2 points ago +2 / -0

Guess the commies figured this out. By the time my mom found out, I'd skipped 16 days of school. In order to graduate, which I didn't give a shit about, I had to make up the days during summer. Full 8 hour days of nothing but staring at a clock. All for shit. I went to community College before university, and you take tests to place your classes. They didn't even ask for my diploma.

3
War_Hamster 3 points ago +3 / -0

I didn't learn to rebel against schools until I got to college, but then I made up for lost time.

7
RedditIs4Retards 7 points ago +7 / -0

Fortunately I hated school and was addicted to runescape so I didn't pay any attention, did just enough to get by. Now I'm an electrician and making more than most people who put time and effort in to get straight A's. Also, unlike them, I'm not in debt and all my cars are paid off.

3
War_Hamster 3 points ago +3 / -0

I went to college, and learned more bartending to pay for it than I ever did in school.

3
Jimmyprawns 3 points ago +3 / -0

Goog way to learn more about human nature than you'd ever want to know.

2
nickybops 2 points ago +2 / -0

I started skipping these two certain classes so much I had to be escorted by the schools deputy to class everyday. I was a druggy shit lib who didnt give a fuck, I am glad I turned my life around. But I would be given in school suspension for skipping but then I'd just skip going to ISS and end up being suspended from school for a week, like that was a punishment for a bad ass angsty teen who didnt wanna be there in the first place lmao. Your punishment is... NO SCHOOL FOR YOU!

2
MikesBigJockstrap 2 points ago +2 / -0

I slept through classes I hated. Math teacher had this boring, emotionless monotone voice like Ben Stein (Clear Eyes Commercial Guy). Half the class slept through the whole period.

14
user2827 14 points ago +14 / -0

I ran the numbers and realized early that by showing up, passing tests and exams that I was guaranteed a passing grade. Which meant that homework was optional.

Why bother doing homework at home when it was mathematically optional?

3
TheBestDuck 3 points ago +3 / -0

This. And I extended that though college by not even going to the courses.

3
user2827 3 points ago +3 / -0

Of course that was about 10 years after high school.

This used to piss my mom off to no end. My parents were both too hung up on process for my own good. My mom was one of those teachers who had never left school. She had always been the "good student" who was organized and transcribed every word spoken by every teacher. And she "studied."

She was in a constant state of muffled rage over my complete and total lack of note taking, studying or organization. She was even more upset that I could get good grades operating that way. To the point of active sabotage in efforts to prevent my 'getting away with it.' Wasn't my fault school was skate and I sure as hell wasn't going to waste effort on theatrics.

My usuall response was to accept the challenge and continue handling my business in whatever way worked AND pissed her off. Her response would be to wind up the old man and turn him loose. Fun times.

I've mellowed a bit since then. My first few 'supporting myself with the paycheck' jobs were rocky. Crap work and idiot bosses I was more inclined to provoke than ignore. A few times they thought they were going to publicly put me in my place only to hang themselves. Sometimes the worst thing you can do to an idiot boss is exactly what they tell you to do, in front of witnesses.

The saying, "they can't bust you down if you're good at something" has limits. I found those limits a few times but kept moving onto something better when things went tits up. Eventually worked my way up into gigs where taking some ownership of the mission was viewed as a good thing. Also learned to be a bit less confrontational with unstable idiots.

Another step along the way came with growing confidence and less of a percieved need for me to prove myself. I was having fewer amadeus mozart moments and was not as often provoking remtards by embarrassing them. It's actually quite dangerous to threaten a fraud with exposure. It's like messing with the bowl of a food protective dog. (In the movie, not sure about real life, an adolescent mozart unwittingly made the king's designated music advisor look like an amateur in front of said king and his court. The mozart moment in question. The rest of the movie was said advisor becoming more and more envious untill he became insane with jealousy. Along the way he did everything he could to sabotage mozart and ultimately, when presented with the opportunity, drove mozart to an untimely death.)

They tried to suspend me for going to the bathroom without permission. It was an emergency and after waiting for 10 minutes I went. Told the assistant principal my dad wasn't going to sign that and my dad told him the same when he got there. He also told that man that the teacher should apologize and she did. You have to stand up to them. He also taught me that if another kid tried to bully me to punch them right between the eyes and he taught me how. When I did he took me to Chuck Cheese and told the principal he was rewarding me.
