Every big city in the US is a leftist shithole. The divide is not north/south like it was in 1860, it is urban vs non urban

82
CoyoteTan 82 points ago +83 / -1

They can hide their corrupt machines in the cities. A little sunlight could fix the whole problem.

This! This! This!

Wish we had electoral college votes down to the county level.

The suburbs have no representation, the cities determine the state for the most part. Just like how the founders made the electoral college to give small states fair representation against big states, we need something to give suburbs a fair representation.

22
MrAnderson1776 22 points ago +22 / -0

You sir have a good idea. Cities get to vote for cities not entire states.

18
slaytherinos 18 points ago +18 / -0

Illinois agrees.

15
Everquest4Life 15 points ago +15 / -0

Illinois is the poster boy for this problem. Giant red state made blue by one shithole crime infested city.

Texas, they hope, is next with massive influx of shithole blue staters moving there in recent years.

3
BigIgloo 3 points ago +3 / -0

14
SpezIsANazisCumRag 14 points ago +14 / -0

Austin and other big cities are a perfect example of why Texas and Florida will never be free and all of our gains in Texas, Florida, Arizona etc won't matter unless the democrat parties in these states are completely abolished and dissolved and democrat policies are constitutionally banned.

Democrats are the cancer infecting America and any Republican especially those who say they are MAGA who isn't serious about abolishing the party responsible for so much fraud and treason and who has such a long history of racism, hatred and division and is now pushing for full on communism, those Republicans are not truly on our side and should not receive our support.

We need to make it clear to Trump and the MAGA Republicans what ultimately needs to happen to Make America Great Again and we need to do what the media won't and inform moderate voters and the uninformed centrists about who is truly responsible for America's issues and why the DNC needs to be dismantled and demolished.

Toss in the areas with big state run universities and I 100% agree. Thanks to the relocation of some of the chicago low life’s, shootings and crime are spreading to places where the liberal university minded morons make excuses for the “victims” of “society injustice” (aka welfare breeding losers.)

1
Daddy_Knows_Best 1 point ago +1 / -0

100% true. we need to take control of our kids education again and teach them how great America is.we need to create an environment where people get good jobs and start sucking off the govt teet...learn to have some pride and support themselves. lastly- we need to foster strong traditional families. this may actually be on the top of the list. a mom & dad and kids....with morals. not sure how to promote this- but destruction of the family unit has been a trickle down to destruction of this country

Holy Shit. I was living outside the US at the time and went to San Antonio for a business in a few years ago.

That was the first time I saw "Use the bathroom that speaks to your identity" or suchlike on a bathroom door.

And, I thought there was a Biker Girl convention in town from all the 30 something chicks with ugly and huge tattoos. Nope, it was a Teacher's Convention.

20
Itype33 20 points ago +20 / -0

Funny, I live in that city and have never encountered a bathroom like that. It is a very liberal city, but our liberals are primarily Mexicans who don't give a shit about identity politics.

22
JeremiahKassin 22 points ago +22 / -0

That's how the left works. They lie about what they support to get votes. Heard a politician talking about it in Orlando, how he'd go to the house of legal Cuban immigrants and tell them he'd like their votes, and they'd say, "Sorry. We believe in God, guns and patriotism." He'd try to show them that those are conservative values that the Democrats stood against, but the Democrat got there first, so he just looked like he was trying to copy the Democrat.

I've encountered this in person, with a black friend. I found out he'd voted for Obama, and I was appalled. He was a smart dude. I asked him if he knew Obama's position on abortion. He didn't, and didn't believe me at first. Same with homosexuality. On down the line. Every single value he believed in, he had just voted against because of the color of a man's skin.

Then there's their advocacy groups. AARP is one of the largest liberal advocacy groups in the nation. It's treated like a default that you join when you turn 65. I'd bet $1000 that the vast majority of the people they're supposed to represent have no idea the policies AARP endorses on their behalf.

Haven't been to Houston in 20 years, but everyone tells me it is nothing like it was. Lived there for a while back in the 90s, but it would be almost impossible to even convince us to visit anymore.

Friend sends us pictures of what has happened in Austin. The homeless have completely taken over the park on Lake Travis so you cannot even visit anymore.

8
phandaal 8 points ago +8 / -0

I live in the outer loop in Houston. It's not like Austin or San Antonio. There are small pockets of lefties and the mayor is a piece of shit, but once you get outside of the immediate city area it's great.

Last summer was a 24/7 Trump rally at every beach from Bolivar to Matagorda.

1
empiretc 1 point ago +3 / -2

2
phandaal 2 points ago +2 / -0

Rice Village is pretty yuppie-fied actually. My wife and I go over there to hit up restaurants on a regular basis.

Woodlands just got voted as the best place to live in the US: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/texas/best-city-in-us-tx/

2
TrumpWinz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Houston has some homeless downtown but that's not what makes this city suck shit. The problem is that there are a bunch of ethnic enclaves that live in isolation and in a total media and social echo chamber of leftist and democrat control.

There are many parts of Houston that do not even look like they are part of America or a 1st world nation.

I would ballpark that half the people in the Houston area are not culturally American and definitely do not have a Texan identity. They are interchangeable with the people in Detroit, Los Angeles, NYC etc.

It's the slow suicide of neocon policies. The GOP has spent the last 20 years courting every far-left industry into their states while shipping blue-collar, Republican-leaning manufacturing jobs to China. You gave tax breaks to Amazon, Apple, Tesla, and Google? Well, now you've just created 100k new jobs for your city that you can brag about in your next campaign ad while all those new workers you paid for are voting for commies to replace you.

12
ApexVeritas 12 points ago +12 / -0

Don't forget the neocon policy to not overturn the immigration act of 1965, or massive non-white immigration, or illegal immigration, or H1B visas, because they get paid by the corporations that profit from the cheap labor, all the while replacing the white population, the only demographic that majority votes for Republicans.

A certain state in the north east turned the surrounding states blue. How, you ask? They increased taxes until the state was nearly unlivable and people started moving out to the neighboring states. They continued voting for the same bullshit.

This is how California works. They know the strategy. They know what they're doing. They know people vote blue like a dog eats shit. They don't think about it, They just see the shit and lap it up.

4
RandoMando2A 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’m as red as they come, leaving CA, and taking my red vote with me. I would think most who flee blue areas are this way but alas, COVID has proven to us that nobody thinks for themselves anymore. They just do what the idiot box tells them. So go figure. It’s not really red vs blue anymore. It’s free thinking common sense people vs sheeple.

6
NomadicKrow2 6 points ago +6 / -0

I quit watching TV like six years ago. I feel more informed than I ever have before. If CNN was someone's only source of information, they'd never know about VAERS. They'd think Biden won. They'd think Trump was Hitler 2.

1
RedTX 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd welcome a friendly red voter any day, fren. Damn yankee and CA blue transplants are dirtying up TX.

You're right, too--no more red v. blue. It's really good vs. bad people. It always has been about that.

12
booblitchutz 12 points ago +12 / -0

18
michaelconfoy 18 points ago +18 / -0

Thanks to Universities, most Capital cities are very far left. Over time the machine settles in and they deploy their fraud schemes to keep control.

31
booblitchutz 31 points ago +31 / -0

Austin used to be the place where "the young go to retire". There's a movie about it called Slacker. Once upon a time Austin was a DIRT cheap place to live, so people would drop out of UT (or sometimes actually even graduate) and then just decide instead of going to work they could just fuck around for a decade or more in Austin living dirt cheap, getting high, playing in a band or being an artist.

That's why Austin developed the reputation for being the "live music capital" because there were so many bands and places they could play for free all over, so you could just walk down the street and bump into a venue and see a band any night of the week.

So you had this massive population of Peter Pans just living in a holding pattern of drugs and irresponsibility that had grown over decades in Austin and that led to the whole "weird" thing because you had that army of burnouts that had a growing lack of grasp on reality because as years rolled by without real responsibility their minds stopped working properly. These were the leftist soul of austin, leftists being literally insane.

Then the money came and with it the money liberals who squeezed out all the burnouts and made it too expensive to fuck around Austin anymore, but they still pretend to be the "soul" of Austin.

17
Provisticus 17 points ago +17 / -0

I've asked people to explain the "weird" association with Austin .... never really understood. Best explanation, hands down. Thanks for the write-up pede.

6
Filetsmignon 6 points ago +6 / -0

Michael Dell brought the techies from SF Bay Area and they brought that California gold with them that jacked up prices. Now Texas is being overrun by all types of liberals because of these two ("oh my God, Texas looks so amazing. Look at how inexpensive and beautiful that house is. I want to be just like them. Honey, let's move to Texas"): https://media2.s-nbcnews.com/i/newscms/2016_13/1029761/fixer_upper_2ef329f3a560c6f1f14c80e96bbef0b6.jpg

Birmingham Alabama went mostly blue in the city level politics and for 20 or 30 years it has been nothing but taxes, ineptitude, and failure. The city was brought to its knees by a sewer scandal. It would be hilarious if it didn't impact so many lives.

2
LibertarianXian 2 points ago +2 / -0

More like, it's a central place for gibs.

I heard the other cities and towns used to periodically bus all their homeless to Austin. Also the oldest mental institution is there, the deaf and blind schools.

And of course the cream of the crop, state government employees.

Idk if that dude is the burrito guy, but there is like 5-6 people that i at least know of who bot their comments up and memes up here and instantly downvote bot people who disagree.

Some of them are shills and probably operatives for the DNC

Some are just fucking losers and need that dopamine hit of being agreed with

20

Its shills promoting the agenda Roger Stone, O'Keefe and Alex Jones warned us about. It is stormfag shit and they want everyone to give up, not vote and go to war. They have 100s of alt accounts. 1 guy here was getting 30 downvotes on every comment. I think the mods fixed that but they still allow manipulation of top comments in a thread. They need to perma-ban these faggots but they don't. Instead they sticky their posts.

And in the next second they get bit by the snake.

Prediction: numerous states will do this, or at least many counties. When it hits a critical mass and we stop following orders, then biden admin will declare that we are trying to secede and declare it a sort of civil war/insurrection. Numerous false flags will ensue. They will arrest our democratically elected leaders as "domestic terrorists" when they go to washington, and then they will move troops into our states. If that doesnt work, they will enlist the aid of globalist orgs and foreign governments. The UN, perhaps even the chinese troops stationed right across the border in china. We wont be able to win that, united we stand, divided we fall, and their AI assisted divide and conquer tactics have worked phenomenally well. We must reunite as much as we are able... And even in the face of defeat, know that you are standing with God and standing on the side of humanity and freedom. You are the good guys. They are technocratic psychopaths who believe they own the future of this planet and will not shy away from genocide to ensure their control. Giving up will just help them do it faster and cleaner.

This action of slowing them down serves to wake more and more people up, which slows the global takeover down even more. Petition your county and your state to become constitutional. Accept no substitutes for this. The constitution is the basis for our country and our society and our laws. Not the federal gogernment, not the G7, not the Paris Accords, not Davos. Dont do the globalist sociopaths jobs for them.

53
maga_mama_757 53 points ago +53 / -0

I feel what you're saying and, that this poster is a n00b, it's likely counter-intel op-type stuff.

But, two years ago, did you think there was any way that Trump would lose the 2020 (he didn't, but you know what I mean)?

Lots of what they posted is totally believable for the left to resort to. They have no shame, no honor, no logic... Anything to retain power. And, I mean, anything.

34
DoesFreeSpeechExist 34 points ago +37 / -3

What he posted is FACT.

They've already set us up as "terrorists". Now come the false flags and gun-grabbing.

18
Proud_American 18 points ago +19 / -1

He posted a prediction. Besides being long winded, it hinges on the idea that Abbott’s move is anything other than political posturing.

Anyone still jumping up and down for politicians hasn’t learned a god damned thing.

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't care about Abbott's motivation. We all know he's a politician that will go whichever way the wind is blowing. Kinda nice that he thinks it is blowing the Constitutional direction, no?

The big part of this story is that it may start a national conversation on State Sovereignty, and that's a conversation that very much needs to be had.

I posted this earlier: https://patriots.win/p/12j08VyHI9/enumeration-doctrine-the-feds-ne/c/

I could see it happening, it is not outside the realm of possibility. But as a general rule I do not like predictions. I prefer to roll with the punches as they come and to always be prepared for the worst case scenario.

Understood, but I think you're making my point.

I'm not comparing the US some shithole or once-great-now-shithole country.

Nor will I wait for it to devolve any further to that.

And, the diseased policies in California are enough for the United States to see this devolution for what it is.

Believe it or not, the masses are seeing that responding that "enough is enough". We are seeing school boards all over the country (even in fucking Massachusetts) having their bullshit Marxist garbage chewed up and spat out by normies, so even fitting into the white liberal mom category.

They are breaking the Matrix. And, that's a good thing.

At least half of the military would balk as such a move. Had Hiliary had the last 4 years this might have worked, but with Trump in the works are gummed up.

We won't lose and there is no going back.

13
RashidaTlaibsClit 13 points ago +13 / -0

5 years ago I'd agree with you. The current military is not what you imagine it to be. They have worked hard to isolate and purge people for the sin of trump support, and theyre effectively force vaccinating them, which looks like it may render our fighting men far less capable due to organ damage from spike protein accumulation.

We keep waiting for the military to step in and save us from a domestic enemy... But that enemy already stole the white house and is deliberately hamstringing the economy. Where is the military? Theyre helping the enemy.

3
War_Hamster 3 points ago +3 / -0

And yet, on Sunday, at the San Diego Trump boat parade, two very large naval vessels blew their horns and the sailors all waived at us when they saw our crowd with all of the American flags.

That's a nice anecdote that suggests all is not as bad as some fear.

1

Oh they honked horns. Let me know when they perform their duty to remove an illegal occupying force

2
ShinAkuma 2 points ago +3 / -1

The Military is probably more based now than when Trump took office.

The idea the military should be stepping in is some Q BS. Military will not act on it's own and certainly won't act on their own without earth shattering evidence.

This was always going to be a state level issue because the states are the ones responsible for who is elected President.

I understand this is frustrating. The wheels of justice turn slowly. Pray we keep uncovering the truth.

2
RashidaTlaibsClit 2 points ago +2 / -0

The military is actively purging trump supporters. Give me ANY proof that they are more based now.

1
ShinAkuma 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not the brass, the rank and file.

When Trump took office the military was shattered under Obama. Trump built them back up. You think that they forgot that?

Yes there are alot of simps in the military, but not nearly as much as the media, which is a propaganda tool, would have you believe.

2

This is a good idea, except for the fact that most of the republican governors are already globalists pawns, such as Abbott himself, and so most of what they're saying is all talk, so Biden won't do anything because he is also a globalist pawn.

GrandDaddyMemesGhost 45 points ago +50 / -5

That's great Greg, now get rid of ERCOT.

19
Tejas_Pepe 19 points ago +19 / -0

Big headline on my local newspaper this morning, ERCOT is telling everyone to cut back on their electricity use due to high demand.

We are going to be having power shortages this summer. A bunch of people sitting around in 100 degree heat without even a fan is going to piss off a lot of people. Those Lignite plants will be back up and running soon, I predict.

8
invalid_data 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah why now, this has literally never been an issue for ERCOT with many many a triple digit summers until now....whats also odd if HVAC tech and home energy is getting more and more efficient not worse. So the hell gives?

2
FuckPlebbit 2 points ago +2 / -0

ERCOT always issues these warnings every summer but I’ve never actually seen us get close to an outage.

Supposedly there’s more power offline than usual…. They’re so fucking incompetent.

3
DemsFuckKids 3 points ago +3 / -0

b/c they only get some many permits, i heard. green energy plan shit

1
QSWO1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Electric cars, and delivery vans.

7
OrangePill 7 points ago +7 / -0

I suspect ERCOT is doing this on purpose and will keep doing it to try and pin blame on Texas Republicans until elections.

They got a taste of what power they have to manipulate blame during the winter storm, they need to be reigned in and hopefully the Texas Republican leadership wakes up to the fact that everything is going to be politicized against them if they keep letting these orgs run the show without proper oversight.

The winter storm was a extremely uncommon event, but Texas gets hot every year it's not a mystery power usage will go up in the Summer as a result. I don't doubt it also is going to be politicized for all the newcomers to Texas in recent years trying to make it seem like it's unusual that it's this hot and must be "muh global warming" even though it's been like this forever.

1
PickleSticks 1 point ago +1 / -0

💯 spot on

4
FuckPlebbit 4 points ago +4 / -0

Abbott knows he’s already pissed off enough republicans to potentially primary him, and with Texas having open primaries, democrats may try to oust him too (wouldn’t be the first time they do that here).

His days are very likely numbered, even with the ERCOT bills signed.

4
Cyer6 4 points ago +4 / -0

A bunch of people sitting around in 100 degree heat without even a fan is going to piss off a lot of people.

I'm in south-central Texas and we lost power and water during the freeze for 4 days. The power going down right now with heat-humidity indexes of around 105-110 degrees will certainly piss off A LOT of people. That freeze is still VERY fresh in our minds.

2

3
undercoverincali 3 points ago +3 / -0

If Texas wasn't beholden to federal green energy regulations regarding power plants we would have more options for construction.

3
Anaconda 3 points ago +5 / -2

ERCOT and the TX GOP's fault. It is laughable trying to blame it on TX Dems who have no power at all or the feds who have been shut out of the TX grid for over 100 years hahah

1
Tejas_Pepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

You keep doing this shit, and I keep correcting you, so either you are dense or a Libtard troll

It is ALL on the Federal government, they went hard after Texas during the Obama administration and forced them to shut down Lignite plants...

In Austin, business leaders and politicians blasted new federal rules aimed at reducing air pollution from power plants. At a hearing held by the Texas Public Utility Commission, there were dire predictions of a ruined Texas economy and higher electricity costs for residents.

At issue are new Federal rules to cut pollution from power plants. Each state would have to come up with a plan that would cut carbon pollution, or greenhouse gases, by an average of 30 percent in less than two decades. Texas, with all its refineries and a lot of coal-burning power plants, is the largest producer of greenhouse gases and is being asked to cut more emissions than other states.

Texas Officials Blast New Pollution Rules For Power Plants

And the Texas GOP fought hard against it, especially Abbott when he was AG...

Despite a mixed record of suing the Obama administration (five wins, eight losses, and two dismissals as of last count), Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott says today that all these lawsuits are a “bargain” for Texans.

The Attorney General has made no secret of the enjoyment he gets out of filing suits against the administration and the EPA. “What I really do for fun is I go into the office,” Abbott said recently, “[and] I sue the Obama administration.”

A Closer Look at Whether Millions of Dollars in Texas EPA Lawsuits Are a ‘Bargain’

4
Filetsmignon 4 points ago +4 / -0

No. Keep ERCOT. I like having an independent grid. But fix it and get rid of the fuckers running it. Put in Texas Patriots!

2
OPsMom 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. This thread is doing a good job of separating the commies from the Patriots. Take notes.

4
jackneefus 4 points ago +4 / -0

ERCOT's problem last winter was not pushing back against the Biden DoE when they prohibited turning on spare capacity.

That problem can be solved by a change in board members, and I believe the old board resigned.

4
OPsMom 4 points ago +13 / -9

What's wrong with ERCOT? It's literally a deregulated power distribution utility. It basically exudes individual rights in its most foundational construct. Sure get rid of corruption within its ranks, but "get rid of ERCOT"? That's a pretty stupid ask.

11
GenericInsult 11 points ago +13 / -2

Texan here, I agree with you.

Get rid of the snakes, not where they live.

4
OPsMom 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well said brother

2
Cyer6 2 points ago +2 / -0

I read that most of the Ercot execs that left after the freeze fiasco lived in other states. It was infected with snakes but Abbott did sign an Ercot bill in this recent legislative session to regulate it better, so I'm told.

7
n4freedom 7 points ago +9 / -2

They're not deregulated, they're a state government sponsored monopoly.

2
OPsMom 2 points ago +3 / -1

That completely false

1
Anaconda 1 point ago +4 / -3

Completely true. The govt picks the board members and they actually can live out of state until after the February disaster. Get rid of ERCOT and institute actual detegulation.

You symbolize the truth about Texans...namely TX = steers and queers.

1
OPsMom 1 point ago +2 / -1

The government is elected by the people. You can literally build your own power plant, connect it to the grid, and sell your energy at market price. This is the definition of deregulated energy. Go get an education before you weigh in on shit you know nothing about.

0
undercoverincali 0 points ago +1 / -1

"Market price".... Who mandated that electricity be sold at $9.00/kwh?

0
OPsMom 0 points ago +1 / -1

That proves just how deregulated it is. I assume you are referring to snowmageddon when the prices were outrageous. That price was based purely off demand. It worked exactly how it's supposed to. But so many of you would rather have the security of lower energy prices that you'd give up your freedom to justify it. Sounds like the exact problem with this country.

The Texas grid is not designed for below zero weather and there is no reason to do so since the lows were record lows. It doesn't make sense to spend the billions of dollars to winterize when we would only use it once every hundred years. If you want to make a business selling winterized electricity in Texas you can, but unfortunately there is no market for it. If it doesn't make dollars then it doesn't make sense. Quit whining because your electricity got shut off for a few days or you were stupid enough to pay dumb fuck market prices for energy so you could curl up in a blanket and watch CNN. In the end, that was your freedom of choice. You could have just left it off or paid an energy company for a fixed rate at a slightly how monthly rate.

4
GrandDaddyMemesGhost 4 points ago +6 / -2

ERCOT trades our power on an energy exchange market; the reason we had so many rolling blackouts in the winter storm was because of improper trade projections, causing the prices to spike, right around the same time the winter storm arrived, which caused usage to spike. IMO energy shouldn't be traded like a fucking stock; its a goddamn public utility.

3
Anaconda 3 points ago +4 / -1

State regulated and controlled monopoly. Not deregulated at all. Just deregulated from federal control.

Abolish ERCOT and also abolish Abbott in 2022 via primary

2
tiamat 2 points ago +2 / -0

-1
Anaconda -1 points ago +4 / -5

ERCOT members were also primarily from out of state.

You symbolize the truth about Texans...namely TX = steers and queers.

1
ThirteenPercenter 1 point ago +1 / -0

You’re misinformed. ERCOT manages the power delivery. Texas PUC manages the actual production via power plants, which is where the shortfall and problems lie during high demand. ERCOT only manages the distribution.

If this goes the way it needs to, this man has the "balls" to do what Trump didn't (with the Insurrection Act). Rick Perry made it clear in 2011 that Texas is the only state whose constitution specifically allows for the right to secede, and Abbott might be putting his money where his mouth is. The "Biden Administration" shall back the fuck off or the nation's 2nd largest state just might need to form its own nation, come Hell or highwater.

I remember June when his goon squads were kidnapping random people in Portland, Oregon, but am not sure what you're talking about with regard to Trump invoking the Insurrection Act for election theft in December. Who told Trump to go fuck himself? Mark Milley? Mark Esper?

I am not masturbating to the treasonous military and am not sure why you think that I am.

5
masticator_nord 5 points ago +6 / -1

I really think this is the way forward. Trump is great, but if the steal can get states to slap down the federal government and put it back in its place then, in the long run, it could be for the better.

That doesn't preclude Trump running in 2024.

-RINO does something good to try and get the average conservative to like them again after they've done fuck all-

Abbott is the same guy to denounce platforms like Gab, which is the best alternative media option out there. Fuck him, he must be replaced.

Disagree. This website is the best social media alternative.

Uh-oh, watch out for another sternly worded letter, boys! Wouldn't want him to write a second one!

4
NazisWereSocialist 4 points ago +4 / -0

I mean he basically signed a piece of paper that says the 10th amendment exists, looks like a “strongly worded letter” to me no?

Cyberpunkd 4 points ago +5 / -1

Isn't TX where that Methodist hospital fired hundred of nurses for refusing the "vaccine"?

1
Urusovite 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your point? That's going on around the country. Texas is also a place nurses are allowed to refuse the vaccine and continue working. Source: family in the medical field who have not taken the vaccine.

1
Cyberpunkd 1 point ago +1 / -0

My point is, maybe he should get the legislature to write some laws prohibiting this kind of bullshit instead of acting like a hard ass on twitter. It would seem in this case these TX nurses aren't allowed to refuse the vax. Where are they supposed to go now? McDonalds?

Mostly posturing. Abbott sees how well desantis is polling in fl and is getting rowdier too.

It’s also probably an open secret in politics that Biden is illegitimate and it might have finally woken the power brokers up to the communist revolution we are currently in.

Who knows maybe Texas and fl really are going to fuck around and find out.

A1waysLurk1ing 12 points ago +12 / -0

Doubt it. This is all optics to keep the right side voters in line. Pretending like they have a safe haven etc. Nothing is save in Texas as long as Houston and Austin (Jesuit central by the fucking way) are left as is.

5
Southboundanddown 5 points ago +5 / -0

This. The only fly in the ointment here is Abbots courage isn't his own. But, this is what's needed so it's fine if he borrows BDR's courage for a while.

DonJr2032 12 points ago +13 / -1

It means that he and the state of Texas acknowledge that the 10th amendment exists.

Nothing more.

7
catch-a-penny 7 points ago +7 / -0

True, but this an official way to assert and acknowledge that the fed government is overreaching.

There is legal precedent whereby you can't ensnare your opponent, you have to give them fair warning to rectify their error and then, if they don't cease, the legal case for action becomes a lot stronger.

This is Abbott is putting the Feds on notice.

Will it amount to much or just be political posturing? That remains to be seen, but acts like this should be encouraged by patriots, not belittled.

Filetsmignon 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep, just a sternly worded letter. I don't see spine in this from Abbott.

7
GenericInsult 7 points ago +8 / -1

It's an election year. Abbott only struts his Texas stuff in election years so he can get reelected.

Texas should audit their election too out of good faith even tho trump won, the left were awful confident Texas would randomly go blue in 2020....

ausglitsch 4 points ago +4 / -0

they might be 10", sure, but that's probably more a function of age than anything else lol

MadRussian 4 points ago +6 / -2

Abbott? Same Abbott that can't take control of his own capital city? Same Abbott that mandated lockdowns and masks and only let up when Florida wiped the floor with him? Same Abbott that does nothing while BurnLootMurder, Antifags and Mexican gangsters are organizing and carving up every major city?

THAT Abbott?

Greg sat in front of a row of Israeli flags and called Gab anti-semitic. This faggot lost all credibility; never trust him.

DeSantis just added a moment of silence to every Public School. Getting God back in one bit at a time.

Does that include the power of foreign nations over the states, Greg? Asking for a friend as Lin Wood would say.

This will go right over Pedo Dementia and Kuntala's heads. They are both doing all they can to hide in closets off the radar these days. They're drowning in a tsunami of big boy responsibilities which come with occupying that office. Neither of them have the mental capacity to be leaders or decision makers. Their immediate advisors are too stupid to to even keep up anymore in responding to things like this. Almost as if they all thought Joe signing a million executive orders his first 30 days was a wrap on his 4 year stint as President.

edxzxz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Strong words are all well and nice - now let's see if he's got the stones to back it up. Shouldn't take long before that comes into play.
