Just because no women were there doesn't mean we can't lie and pretend women were there for "muh feminism"

In this situation, next question means moving to the next person.

If you actually end up in a conversation with real people (i.e. not a press conference) and a question like this gets asked, the correct answer wouldn't be short and terse, it would be a full-throated and lengthy mockery of that person as the dumbert human being to ever walk the face of the planet.

There is an argument to be made that Hitler had the right motivation but used the worst possible tactics. A leader of Nazi Germany who could see clearly without utter hatred clouding his mind might have made Germany a permanent global superpower if he had exiled Jews instead of killing them and strengthened his current territory instead of reaching for more.

And the Jews were all black too. Basically all of history was basically powerful black people. Still not sure how we managed to enslave a master race like that. It's almost like they did it to themselves or something.

4
Shayhawk 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ask Africa what they've been doing wrong all this time... The rest of the world was civilized by blacks but they forgot that shithole of a continent for some reason.

2

Imho I think the Ethiopian jews are black although they're probably few in numbers.

16
MAGA_mandalorian 16 points ago +16 / -0

Lol well gender equality would be a lie if it's historically false. So I choose historical accuracy. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. And those In power are trying to erase history as it was and replace it with their own narrative that they want. Like Anne Boleyn being black now. I mean it's well documented that she was pale skinned with I believe red hair. It's just a fact. A lie is a lie is a lie no matter how much sugar you cover it with

7
Shalomtoyou 7 points ago +7 / -0

It's creepy though that they're taking such a tactic.

IMO Patton was right when he wanted to push through eastern Europe after the Nazis fell. AFAIK the reds didn't have the A-bomb until a few years later, while most of Stalin's army was dilapidated from WWII. Neutering the USSR (liberating all except Russia itself) could have reduced or prevented the losses from Korea and Vietnam.

6
Brellin 6 points ago +6 / -0

The fact that the article literally asks the question "which is more important, historical accuracy or gender equality" should tell you everything you need to know. This isn't about showing things in a realistic or faithful manner, or making a good movie, this woman is advocating this stuff entirely on the grounds that she is an activist and doesn't give a shit about anything other than her activism. The fact that there are no women storming the beach in the movie pisses her off because she cannot think about or engage critically with anything without seeing it through the lens of her activism.

5
FireannDireach 5 points ago +5 / -0

She's demanding propaganda. No more, no less.

You have to have a child's mentality to try to force changing the horrors those men went through fighting a war, because 'Waaaaah, we want a gold star, too! We deserve all the gold stars because we have vaginas!"

And, it's just a matter of god damned respect for the men who sacrificed, whom for a lot of them wasn't a choice, as they were drafted. She has no respect for them. Fuck her.

Woman contributed to the war effort. It's documented. Remember Rosie The Riverter? She's a cultural icon. Women did their part. That's fact. But noooooo, some pampered liberal thinks that's not enough, they have to create fictional accounts of history, because it's not about equality or "diversity", it's about tearing down men, hatred of men, and childlike tantrums when they're blocked from doing that.

As a female I'd rather have accuracy. So many people get their history lessons from movies. Let's try not to make them more dumb

24
censorthisss 24 points ago +24 / -0

We're in for more bullshit movies like 'Hidden Figures' that completely distorts what really happened in the name of "equality."

23
ColonelTravis 23 points ago +23 / -0

My dad worked for NASA, during the Apollo program. Specifically, he wrote code for the Apollo FMS, and calculated their flight trajectories. So, exactly what they were doing. He openly acknowledges the women who contributed, and worked with the people, depicted in the movie. He hates that movie. It was not reflective of what actually happened, at all. It’s a Disney tween girl movie.

4
censorthisss 4 points ago +4 / -0

I only saw the first 5 minutes of it on TV and of course it starts with a racist white cop harassing 3 black women on their way to work.

3
Sarrwell 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wow, that's really cool! I would love to hear his take on it all.

And sorry to anyone who doesn't like me liking the movie. I would rather it be more accurate but I enjoy it from a fictional history perspective. It probably wouldn't have sold if it had been more accurate. And I wouldn't have known those women existed if it weren't for that movie

5
ColonelTravis 5 points ago +5 / -0

Don’t worry about it! I’m glad that you saw it, because there are a number of women, some not mentioned in the film, who contributed a great deal to the space race. He knows that it was a different time, and they faced some challenges, related to it.

Internally, though, there was such a laser-like focus on getting to the moon, and back, that the outside world didn’t really exist, to them. Their days were filled with hours of entering individual punch cards into analogue computers, and checking the math, and that was after actually working the calculations, for every scenario. If they didn’t need to be there, they went home, to their families.

The biggest thing, for him, was that these women had a tremendous amount of respect, internally. It was the external history that largely ignored the women. Of course, everyone was in the shadows of the astronauts. Were there some “old fashioned” men there? Sure. Were there racial issues? Absolutely. But, most of these people were young; in their 20s, and didn’t carry the same baggage as their parents. They were a special group of people, working on the greatest voyage of discovery, in human history, and the movie impugned the honor of the people who made it happen.

5
Sarrwell 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well I'm glad these women got acknowledged but hopefully there will be a day when people tell the real story. I understand the laser like focus. It's easy to disconnect from reality she working on a problem.

Thank you, pede, for telling me your father's story!

Sarrwell 6 points ago +7 / -1

I actually kind of like that movie.... Maybe because I'm a female with a math degree. But, with every movie like that, I look into the accuracy because I know I know movies add their own details for drama and flair. I watch for entertainment, not for history lessons.

5
Brellin 5 points ago +5 / -0

the problem is that you're capable of critical thinking, whereas the target audience for the movies like that generally aren't, either because they're children or because they've been brainwashed by modern "education"

3
Sarrwell 3 points ago +3 / -0

Or they are lazy or don't realize it's not accurate.

I also like the movies because they help you connect to the person a little better. There's a show out right now called The Chosen. Its the first show about Jesus where its actually.... Interesting. They make up what could have happened with the disciples because we don't actually know but most shows end up trying to play it safe and it ends up boring. For the same reason I like the Imitation Game even though they pander to gays. All the stuff with his childhood is made up but they do it to add to his character. If they hadn't done any embellishing it wouldn't have been entertainment like it's supposed to be. It would just be a documentary.

2
KartoffelPuffer 2 points ago +3 / -1

As a female, I have no problem with the entire "make a sandwich" conceit. It actually highlights the difference in female vs. male thinking. Women can usually see short lists of "things to do" in parallel (multitask), whereas men tend to work everything in serial.

Woman:

Make_Sandwich; Input bread, meat, cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce, spices; Clean_counter; Eat; Done

Man: Make_Sandwich; Input bread; Thinking.... Input meat Calculate.... Input cheese; Searching... Input mayo; Xfer task to wife... Input tomato, lettuce, spices; Return; Eat; Clean_counter; (Failure to load); Done

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +3 / -1

But I think it highlights more than that because women (not you obviously) find what he said so offensive but when they want me to go clean a dead raccoon off the lawn I'm supposed to just accept that this is what God made me for.

As for the sandwich analogy. I raised myself. I've lived single a good bit of my life because most women can't get their shit together. I've always made all the money and do all the housework because I have yet to find a woman (at least in my life) who isn't offended that it's a fair trade for using my money or isn't content to nest inside a horder's den. The man way of making a sandwich you suggest is not at all what I do (not in sandwiches and not in life) and have spent plenty of time teaching women to make sandwiches so to speak. To suggest I can't work simple tasks or more than what at a time is not at all fair. I think your heart is in the right place maybe but it's pretty bad to say you are sympathetic to this Tweet and that you think a man can't make a sandwich. I guess when we do, you guys are completely obsolete unless we need kids because in my experience I have to do everything else.

Women can usually see short lists of "things to do" in parallel (multitask)

That's what I hear. Still waiting to meet one who can actually do it without fucking up one of the tasks and blaming me for it.

3
Sarrwell 3 points ago +3 / -0

Its moreso that it's said in a condescending way. If my husband asks me to make me a sandwich, I'm more than happy to. I make dinner probably more than 95% of the time. But when guys make that joke it's meant to be moreso an implication that women are only good for being in the kitchen or serving men.

If you have an opinion on abortion and I laughed at you dismissively and then told you to go mow the lawn, it wouldn't be particularly funny. The sandwich joke can be done well but it depends in the context and the attitude of the person making the joke.

And guys make good sandwiches. I'm certain a guy invented my favorite sandwich because I refuse to believe that a woman had some bacon, apples, mustard and cheese and thought they'd all go great together as a sandwich. (And the girl who commented previous to you was being condescending towards men... Though, I mean, you're being condescending too, but this seems to be the norm around here lately...)

0
stratocaster_patriot 0 points ago +1 / -1

You are conflating things not related based on the faulty assumption that

But when guys make that joke it's meant to be moreso an implication that women are only good for being in the kitchen or serving men.

You don't actually know that and in my case you would be wrong. And this is a perfect example of when I would tell you to make me a sandwich. You are out of your depth or in a place you don't belong. I never said you are only good for being in the kitchen. For instance you can do my laundry as well. You see we are usually totally joking and you call it condescending which makes you condescending.

It's pretty ridiculous for you to continue telling us we can't know certain things. First it was a sandwich and you conceded that we could probably know about sandwiches because we are pigs who just can't get enough of the foods God provided for us all. But then you claim we can't know anything about abortion even though without men you wouldn't even have had an abortion doctor profession to begin with, your midwife would have given you herbs from "the Goddess". Your bodies are well known to science so the idea that I can't know about them is laughable. So again, maybe get on that sandwich huh?

1
Sarrwell 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was agreeing with you, you asshat. I was generalizing that guys make that joke to be condescending. Obviously, that is not always the case but those are the cases that women don't like. I'm not saying guys don't know anything about abortions and I thing guys SHOULD voice their opinions on the matter. I was just trying to give a similar example but with reversed roles so you would see why some women get offended with the sandwich joke (and seeing that you are clearly offended I hope you will get the point). And as for the sandwich things, you could have instead concluded that I believe guys have a more sophisticated pallet because they have a better idea of what foods go together but instead you concluded that I think you're a pig which I in no way implied.

Please, stick with lawn mowing.

1
Sarrwell 1 point ago +2 / -1

Updoot for your name. That's a fun German word.

I'm fine with the sandwich things as long as guys aren't dicks about it. I find that half of guys get offended if you make a jab back at them or they feel like they have to one up you (in a bad way). But, of course, I'm just an overly emotional feminist for pointing that out.

But any guy who can take a joke after dishing one is awesome in my books. Nothing is more fun than finding a guy you can banter with

I saw a clip of Colbert trying to bust Bill Gates' balls over nuclear energy that Gates advocates because he's not stupid whatever he is. Colbert was using a movie or something he'd seen to argue that he knew the dangers. Gates had to repeat himself because Colbert clearly missed the first time that Gates said we needed to use new technology and engineering for safety that did not exist back in Chernobyl.

What got me was that Gates then proceeded to steal the show. He made me laugh twice and his last twist was a clever way to turn a stupid question back on Colbert and made a perfect ending the segment. Colbert has to try and regain control of his show and so was just awkward for another 1:00, 1:30 and then ended. Bill Gates is funnier than Colbert. Bill Fucking Gates. is soooooo much a funnier and better talk show host than Colbert and that bitch. And Colbert still has a gig and apparently thinks he's Larry King now days.

If there were enough women out there, they would have prevented many deaths. The women would have nagged the enemy to death... Except back then they knew their place in the family and knew how to submit and do their respectable womanly duties

4
stratocaster_patriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

Even to me that sounds a bit harsh at the end there but that is interesting. That comes right from the Bible and that's why I say it's interesting. We tend to get offended by it these days and I think we know why. Christian women (and men) are cool with the parts of the Bible where homosexuality is wrong but the part about being subject to their husbands - nope not Christianity anymore for them because that little part no longer applies. Outdated. Sorry ladies, God made the rules, not me.

The thing is, their place in the family was always important and we knew it and they knew it but they decided to believe what society told them and now they have a "higher ideal" for themselves and it leads so many of them to misery. The real victims are the kids they raise on their own who come to hate their own genitalia in record numbers now. And still they refuse to believe that they can't "have it all". God put none of us here to "have it all".

4
RedditIs4Retards 4 points ago +4 / -0

Liberalism strongly pushed "equality" for women and "strong independency" because they know how powerful a mother who spends her time to teach their children to grow into strong leaders of men is. So they had to separate our children from their mothers so they can have "strong independent women" teach them instead, and indoctrinate them into hating our country and brainwash them into pushing the globalist agenda.

The biggest problem today is that the black family unit was destroyed and 70% of black children have no father figure, and the majority of all families, including Christian, had the mother figure destroyed by taking their focus away from their children and spending that focus on business or whatever else instead of raising their children, spoiling them instead of raising them, and putting them into daycare or public indoctrination systems where they didn't have to pay attention to them, so that somebody they do not even know or trust could raise them instead... Because they're just too busy for their own kids.

I see that everywhere in my own church which is far more conservative than 95% of churches. Many women run nursing homes while their husbands work other jobs, and they just throw money at the kids instead of spending time with them and teaching them. Then, they cry later about how their kids are so rude and disrespectful and don't listen.

The whole premise of 'Saving Private Ryan' is horse manure.

We know how little the US Government Actually cares. You think some beaurocrat was sitting there and noticed "Oh fuck, I've already sent 3 letters to this one poor woman, let's avoid a 4th! She only has one son left!" "I agree, let's send dozens of men to save this one random guy!"

... more likely 'Private Ryan' was a real person, but a Globohomos son.

7
BarronVonSaltzburg26 7 points ago +7 / -0

It wasn't about the government carrying it was the fear of bad press. It was all propaganda, which the feds became very good at in WWII when they partnered with Hollywood.

5
RiverFenix 5 points ago +5 / -0

I hear you - and I could see it for production value and "good press" motivations but it's an expensive endeavour and very unrealistic UNLESS that person was actually important in some way, to someone very wealthy or connected.

If Private Ryan was a CIA agent who had been sleeping with the head of French Resistance and also the nephew of Adolph, and Harvard educated.. sure.. I could see the Globohomos doing it. But they wouldn't have spun it as such, it would have been as you described "4th and only remaining Son, saved!"..

Do you recall this actually happening? I was pretty 'into' WW2 and 20th century history as a young guy. Is Saving Private Ryan based on a true story? No.

It's a total work of fiction, based on real events (Ww2 and D-day in general).. Good movie as far as movies go, but it's from a time when Hollywood wasn't as openly our enemy as it is now. So maybe we like it for nostalgia. Tom Hanks the cannibal pedo though - makes it so I prefer not to watch it again.

5
BarronVonSaltzburg26 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes, partly based on The Fighting Sullivans. It was five brothers from Iowa and there was a film made in 1944. All five died in the sinking of the USS Juneau.

The only thing this reminds me of is that there were 2, 3, or 4 brothers that were on the same Navy ship and perished when the ship was sunk. So, they changed the assignment requirements to ensure a similar incident wouldn't happen again. I'm pretty foggy on the specifics though.

Greyhound was pretty good. I know Hanks was the lead and he's a POS, but the movie was about the REAL men who fought those German subs in the Atlantic. That's what I took away from it.

Oh man that takes balls. This reminds me of something I had been thinking deeply about yesterday. How is it that the Mongol Empire started to collapse the minute they got turned back in Austria? There are all kinds of possible explanations and they are fair and supported somewhat. But the glaring one is one that nobody will consider. Ogodei Kahn died unexpectedly during a particularly wet winter and his wife was placed in charge. Two years later they were headed back to Mongolia. Washington fought off the greatest military of his time in the winter in bare feet and the mighty warrior Kahns buggered out because it was too wet

Sorry to belabor it but I actually found out a lot of interesting things by looking into this like how the Mongols slaughtered innocent people with gunpowder that had never been seen before. Sort of like killing native americans with Henry rifles except that when it was white guys it was evil and racist apparently. Whereas the Mongols were brave fierce warriors. Well apparently they were too stupid to keep the powder dry so when it got real wet they were no longer conquered but scared little bitches. The list goes on. I'm convinced the Kahn's were nothing but complete morons who bullied their way into history using brute force, not a brain cell among them. The Kahn's were the greatest bunch of serial rapists and murderers in history and Netflix glorifies them and white people bad. I'm hoping to write an essay that nobody will read or believe lol.

Gooodamm mongolians break muh shitty walls!!!

FORMERCHILDSTAR 3 points ago +3 / -0

More important question is will there be women at the next D Day invasion? If we put women in frontline combat you could have thousands of young ladies getting slaughtered. Democrats would probably cheer because it's "equality."

1
newuser999 1 point ago +1 / -0

Womyn first, right!

1
Wintergreen 1 point ago +1 / -0

The other side will put women, trans and soyboys on the front lines. We won't, which is just one of the reasons they don't stand a chance.

Putting women in combat is a guaranteed way to lose the war that follows because there will be fewer men to replace the ones that died

Women create the future. Without them, there is nothing. Risking them in combat is civilization-level stupidity.

2
coffeeisbitter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not stupid at all when the real goal is precisely to kill the civilization so (((they))) can replace it.

"what is more essential: historical accuracy or gender equality"

the fact this stupid fucking question is being asked and anyone who even acknowledges it as a valid question is a complete fucking idiot.

2
Basedsliceofwinning 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good lord, is that a real article?

2
JediDwag 2 points ago +2 / -0

Historical accuracy is more important. 1984 was not a guidebook.

2
_Sully_ 2 points ago +2 / -0

This woman can't actually believe this, can they?

4
Filo76 4 points ago +4 / -0

You’d be surprised. No rational thinking person would believe this but to the irrational brainwashed left, gender equality is more important than anything else in the world.

It is precisely because they are irrational that makes it impossible to logically debate them. The only solution is what James Woods has done: Mock them endlessly.

1
_Sully_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

I agree about the mockery. Keep the hamster wheel spinning wildly.

Hollywood reshoots the D-Day scene with an all-female cast.

Women getting shot. Drowned. Stabbed. Blown up. Set on fire. Girl stumbling around the beach looking for her right arm.

For fuck's sake. The protests would leave nothing but a crater where Hollywood used to be.

And on the topic of what’s more important, historic accuracy or gender equality, I choose historic accuracy any day. How is that even a question you entertain? Want fantasy? Watch marvel movies.

FYI this is Photo-shopped, there is no such article. It was a shop of Kotaku so it was reasonable to assume it was real. LOL

Historical accuracy. Next question.

1

The same people who think that the right is in denial of truth openly says things like gender equality is more important that historical facts.

1

The same people who say "historical accuracy or gender equality" are the same ones who want to teach CRT in schools.

If this isn't proof that they're just stretching to find any kind of relevancy with all of this social engineering bullshit, I don't know what would be.

What an idiotic question. That second one, too.

Because the answer is actually verisimilitude, especially when talking about historical subjects. If you lose the sense of realism, no one will care about your take on history.

Oh, and James' answer is fucking hilarious.

1
