Sky News Australia is based AF

60
mickmrly 60 points ago +60 / -0

Yeah it is. When it seemed it was broadcasting more conservative news than Fox News I became confused. Funnily enough here in Australia it is our main cable news channel, sort of the opposite of CNN.

hansgruber7 36 points ago +36 / -0

Nice. Fox News is mostly a liberal outlet now, I'm sure you've heard.

iamherefortheluls 2 points ago +3 / -1

i am guessing next major news network to rise up is going to be Timcast.

Last few weeks he seems to have gotten off the fence. Now that his own site if functional, his after show specials there are night and day difference from the stuff youtube allows

The future is not in broadcast news

Its in internet articles

And the Boomer Republicans will have to come to terms with that if they want to have a place in that future..

A cable news station can only fit so many news stories in the course of a day. They just only have a certain amount of time. And internet news site? He can create as many articles per hour is they want. Appealing to anybody. Cable news? Even Tucker Carlson doesn't even reach 3 million viewers per episode. CNNdotcom got 150 million viewers per month..

If you think cable news ratings are important you've lost the war already..

The future is not in broadcast news

Broadcast news' future should be Howard Beale. All of 'em.

sentient-potato 18 points ago +18 / -0

I'd been reading so much about Australia going woke that I was confused by SkyNews Aus. Then I dug around and realized there are probably a lot of based Australians who are being silenced.

20
PeoplesRepublicNJ 20 points ago +20 / -0

No need to be confused. Australia has much more to lose and will be the first to have their lunch eaten should China rise.

6
Knowbody 6 points ago +6 / -0

New Zealand will be first. Australia still has a spine.

1
NZ_Pede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unfortunately I have to agree. Our commie PM is china first

3

Sky News is owned by the Murdochs

11
illidann 11 points ago +11 / -0

yup they went and are still going apeshit on the Wuhan Virology Lab and their engineered chinese virus

I was also confused at first because Sky News England is Cucked AF

5
MrsPepe 5 points ago +5 / -0

Kind of... but mostly because Rupert Murodoch was married to a Chinese spy and he will tell anyone who listens. But his kids are not aligned with his views soo...

Good for the Brits. Let's see how they cover elections. Will they make news stories out of tweets. Will there be certain topics they either wont or barely cover like Fox News here in the states. Oh, what about investigative journalism. Seems like Project Veritas, on a shoestring budget, is the only game in town.

13
Assassin47 13 points ago +13 / -0

It's amazing how fast undercover investigative journalism died. I can't believe Project Veritas are the only ones left, but can't think of many others.

8
TearofLys 8 points ago +8 / -0

Judicial Watch does investigative journalism (they were the ones that filed the FOIA for Fauxi's emails), but not undercover investigative journalism.

2
Knowbody 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's also Avi Yemini, Andy Ngo

2
FetalTransition 2 points ago +2 / -0

If you have to use Amazon, use their smile program to donate to Veritas.

13

Just be careful, the person who's behind GB News is Andrew Neil who was the founder of Sky in 1988 along with Murdoch.

11
Scuffers 11 points ago +11 / -0

Andrew Neil is a great jurno, very old school, very straight.

He was the last real jurno at the BBC, but they effectively forced him out.

2
LiquidAsylum 2 points ago +2 / -0

what about this clip with Ben Shapiro? He sounds liberal and biased in his questioning:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VixqvOcK8E&t=780s

8
Scuffers 8 points ago +8 / -0

you do understand what a journalist should be, don't you?

it should be impossible to tell what political persuasion a journalist is, they should take the opposing side to the person they are interviewing.

Andrew Neil is nothing like that you in the US would call a conservative, he's an old-school real jurno, he's professionally not left or right.

as for this specific interview, little Ben needs to be thicker skinned, I actually agree with the tweets he made, the issue is he has not got the spine to stand up and defend them.

in truth, Andrew Neil probably agrees with the sentiment, but it’s NOT HIS JOB to agree with interviewees.

2
Tellsyouhow 2 points ago +2 / -0

Little Benji got the shock of his life coming up against a professional like Andrew. No amount of fast talking and name calling is going to phase him

6
Mareep 6 points ago +6 / -0

Neil comes from the old British school of liberalism, which annoys wokeists but isn't really conservative either.

His questioning style always sounds biased, regardless of who he's questioning. It's just the way he does things. Can be annoying at times, but it's effective. Shapiro admitted afterwards that he wasn't expecting the questioning style and should've prepared better.

2
TearofLys 2 points ago +2 / -0

"of liberalism, which annoys wokeists but isn't really conservative either."

Describes a lot of MAGA types. The common thread among us is our disdain for authoritarianism, not social conservatism.

Scuffers 1 point ago +1 / -0

And he's an unbiased commentator

2
Tellsyouhow 2 points ago +2 / -0

Andrew Neil takes no shit from either side in his questioning.

I'm impressed by the channel so far, for once giving us alternative opinions from professionals on vaccines, climate change etc without shouting down the expert then apologising to their audience.

I'm very much aware that this channel is being allowed to happen which makes me question their motives

1
Assassin47 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sounds like we're off to a good start.

11
Burmeister 11 points ago +11 / -0

looks like controlled opposition

4
NerBolanski 4 points ago +4 / -0

It is controlled opposition.I looked at the people who were their sponsors and most were globalist companies.

3
BidensHairyLegs 3 points ago +3 / -0

Many of these companies have withdrawn their sponsorship because the left threatened to cancel them for supporting the channel.

It was in today's paper in the UK.

1
Burmeister 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeps follow the money find out who owns the company and you will most likely figure out whats their agenda is

2
Tellsyouhow 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's far better than anything else we currently have in the UK but it's definitely being allowed to happen

3
Burmeister 3 points ago +3 / -0

well that is good news. But find out who owns it before everyone goes crazy

1
Tellsyouhow 1 point ago +1 / -0

Some very woke companies like Google are advertising on it so I do fear it may become like Fox News: build up the audience with real news then switch when you need something lefty to get accepted by Conservatives

7
Here_we_go 7 points ago +7 / -0

Fox or oan? Time will tell.

6
BidensGormlessFace 6 points ago +6 / -0

Really funny to hear him mention that sky new australia is not connected to sky new uk. sky news in the uk is far left like the bbc.

4
AppalachianTactical 4 points ago +4 / -0

Hopefully it is legit and isnt the accepted version of the other side of the coin.

Like when Newsmax came to try to pull us from thedonald and back to their control.

4
KeepingAmericaGreat 4 points ago +4 / -0

How do they justify that TV tax in the age of podcasts?

Check this out, in 2021.

A TV Licence costs £159 (£53.50 for black and white TV sets) for both homes and businesses.

https://www.gov.uk/tv-licence

6
Teapede 6 points ago +6 / -0

Its not just for an actual tv, it's also for livestreaming tv via the internet or watching BBC's streaming service. I don't pay it and no one else shoulf

4
BidensGormlessFace 4 points ago +4 / -0

Legally Licence free for 10+ years now. Fuck the BBC bunch of pedo commie cunts.

4
MarcusAurelius 4 points ago +4 / -0

I wonder how long it will be until a UK politician with balls decides to get rid of the TV License tax? Let the BBC die.

3
dahdahdah_dahditdah 3 points ago +3 / -0

If they truly are conservative, they will be shut down by the government. There are topics in the UK that you are not allowed to talk about, but which a conservative would have to cover.

2
NerBolanski 2 points ago +2 / -0

You are right. Most people don’t realize that there are specific topics that the globalists don’t want people to hear. This is more common in UK and Germany but it is also common in the Free USA.

2
dahdahdah_dahditdah 2 points ago +2 / -0

Over there you can be arrested for talking about it. At least here you will only be, let’s see… banned from flying, lose your bank account, harassed law enforcement, fired from your job… OK, we have room for improvement.

1
NerBolanski 1 point ago +1 / -0

The worst arrest I have seen is the arrest of 90 year old Ursula Havbech in Germany. She questioned some of the details of WW2 and she got arrested.

1
1096WilCommenceAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

90 years old? You sure she didn't say "Hey I was there and that's not how it went down faggots!"

2
NerBolanski 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ursula is a brave woman. I know that Many folks here like Desantis, Trump, and Putin don't realize that all three of these folks signed or Maintained some Noahide Laws in their Nations or Jurisdciations; these laws will lead to the most dangerous anti-free speech laws on Earth. Most Americans don't actually look at European History Pre-WW2; if we looked at it, we would know our major enemies.

in some European countries, you can get imprisoned for questioning the details of most of the WW2 survivors especially the people who claimed that they were in camps. Most of the big European Nations have their version of the ADL and AIPAC and these groups hate ethnic Europeans and directly try to subvert their host Nations towards their interests.

Most of the Modern problems in the West will be traced to the winners of WW2. I am not talking about the winners like USSR or USA or the UK; I am talking about the people who majorly benefited from the war.

I think I know who but iv gotta ask?

3
wat_meme 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same thing happened in Montana believe it or not. All the papers have been bought up by one outfit I think, Lee Enterprises, so all the papers in Montana are super lefty. You would think the entire state has turned crazy left. Thankfully watching the conservatives come out last election was heartening. The lefties have infiltrated, make no mistake, but they are by no means the majority.

Montana Daily Gazette came on the scene several months ago, is unapologetically conservative and Christian, and has become the most read site in the state, while the papers are failing.

2
Nunyo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Who owns GB news? This is no different than Fox News.

American TV company Discovery - owner of the Food Network and Eurosport - is also believed to own a significant chunk of All Perspectives Ltd.

Discovery, Inc., the multi-billion dollar powerhouse behind a whole host of cable networks, including the Discovery Channel, has a 35 percent stake in Group Nine Media, which makes Group Nine one of Discovery’s many subsidiaries.

it takes time to conclude if it will be a real success.

people have short memories and more often they can't carry on and finish what they determine to do at the first beginning.

2
GunTottinPatriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nice now we need an anti woke Twitter, Facebook ect, if we migrate the right wing movement from their websites they’ll lose billions of dollars and we’ll gain a new platform where free speech is allowed and liberal cabal owned propogoanda isn’t

The content is OK, the studio tech needs work.

1
Damo71DT 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sky News Australia is based. From the UK, I can only hope GBN is too, looks like it, we need this now more than ever 👍🏻 There's a LOT of people starting to realise the BS we're being fed by the MSM, about time. Time to wake up sheeple...

1
Tellsyouhow 1 point ago +1 / -0

All of the advertisers that pulled out because of an organised leftist Twitter mob are suddenly back tracking, saying they are pausing their sponsorship until they get a feel for the channel

2
feckineejit7 2 points ago +2 / -0

The advertisers have a had a complete shellacking on Facebook etc about them pulling their ads. Brits ain’t taking it and have been bombarding these piss wet companies with threats of account closure. Hate flake companies suddenly realised they fucked their own business models with their pandering to the Left. Now going down faster than a fat kid on a see saw. The power of money is the only thing they understand.

I see GB news was opened by Andrew Neil. This clip with Ben Shapiro (many here dont like Ben and I often dont, but the clip is to highlight Andrew Neil.) vs Andrew Neil shows how liberal and biased he can be.
