Fake. The police wouldn't respond to any theft under $1,000.

I thought that was only a rule in California?

Lumber is finally falling and stores will soon be selling at a loss it looks like. https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/commodities/lbs

Thank you. This is really important to me. Make a post if it drops like a stone tomorrow. We need some good news around here.

No problem, however, we know that won’t immediately transfer into store prices... that’ll be delayed and should follow the futures pricing.

I watched a video last night that we're almost back down to the peak of summer of last year (which was already several times normal prices). It's far from over.

I've gotta redo my deck next year.

My dad was just talking about this. The lumber is INSANELY expensive and prices show no signs of coming down.

The Amish are still building with their own wood, incase anyone's interested...

If I ever buy wooden furniture again, it'll be from the Amish. Not going to go out of my way to need new furniture before necessary, but when it happens, I'll get the Good Stuff.

A lucky great-great-grandkid will thank you. That stuff LASTS.

Amish built furniture? Imho that says quality. You should start a business.

2
Farmerbob1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good furniture costs good money. There are already lots of places that sell Amish-made furniture. I'd be trying to break into a market I know little about, while trying to start working relationships with folks who usually don't have phones or email. I can just shoot myself in the butt if I want to add that kind of PITA into my life <grin.>

The futures are coming down, it will be 3-6 months until we see it at retail.

Wood shavings now so pricey that Home Depot is selling them in locked money deposit bags (tagged with a hidden GPS tracker).

GUYS.... Find a local sawmill and support their business. Many of these “government issued problems” can be fixed by supporting locally and family owned small businesses. Let these massive corporations drown.

For everyone fighting about lumber prices this was just a jokey joke
