The McClosky's gave up NOTHING. Their guns were confiscated long ago. The press is pushing this false narrative of them giving in.

They should have never plead guilty and they never should have turned in their firearms

Robert Barnes explained it pretty well yesterday.

They're both lawyers, they understood the risks of continuing with the case. The jury pool in there area (st louis) is predisposed to rule against them no matter how good of a case they have. That goes the same for judges. Had they won, the prosecution would probably just come after them for another crime anyway. The governor had promised a pardon; but there's no guarantee he'd still be governor when their ruling came in.

they plead to to the lowest level offence possible. They may have had to give up the original guns; but they aren't prevented from getting new ones, and it won't affect their law licenses.

Yeah I honestly might have taken that deal myself. Look at that guys mansion. He can buy a new ar and not even notice it in his bank statement.

Mark McCloskey had said in an interview several months ago that both weapons were not in working or and that they were going to be used as props for an upcoming trial.

Regardless, they couldn't be railroaded by the corrupt "justice" system, which is a huge win.

Yeah nice β€œtrolling” after being convicted of a crime and having your guns taken and destroyed for stopping a black mob from ransacking your house.

Much too cavalier for the gravity of the situation.

the pistol was a broken piece of garbage anyway. armor up!

DeadOverRed 9 points ago +9 / -0

Aren't they high end attorneys? What's with the cheapest AR in the gun shop?

7
fuckfortysix 7 points ago +8 / -1

Because it's all an act, they are being propped up by the establishment like many others...

9
Gerbaski 9 points ago +9 / -0

They donated to Trump in 16' election cycle btw

4
fuckfortysix 4 points ago +5 / -1

I donated to their campaign last month. I posted "we'll see where this goes" It went from a possible breath of fresh air to establishment in no-time flat. They can't just slap MAGA/America First on shit and expect us to buy it. This dude needs to do a lot more before I'll endorse him. Btw I read his emails every day, since I donated. I'm not just tossing shit out of my ass here. I'm paying attention.

3
Gerbaski 3 points ago +4 / -1

Fair enough. I'll be honest I do not know much else about the guy. I'm too busy trying to keep my local politi-critters honest. We sadly have a bit of that coattails riding, all talk no action in my neck of the woods too.

fuckfortysix 3 points ago +4 / -1

Without something drastic like an Article V, it's on us to uproot this shit and get ahold of it. You're not alone, and those of us out here paying attention thank you. I have faith in the population. I have very little faith left in who is currently 'running' the United States.

2
Farage_massage 2 points ago +2 / -0

They also donated to democrats in the same cycle, right?

4
HuggableBear 4 points ago +4 / -0

Seriously, this guy is a massive opportunist. He's not MAGA, he just thinks we're chumps who will vote for him because he owns a gun.

2
fuckfortysix 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bingo

6
Maker_Wolf 6 points ago +6 / -0

He's probably not a gun enthusiast. Im guessing he was just like "I would like an ar15 please"

3
DeadOverRed 3 points ago +3 / -0

You'd think the salesman would hand him a customized Bravo Company chambered in .308

3
Maker_Wolf 3 points ago +3 / -0

"Here's a no nonsense AR just like you asked for, that will be $4000, cash or card?"

1
DeadOverRed 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly!

7
WhiteTrashJesus 7 points ago +7 / -0

If it was me I would have had a hard time giving up that a2

Lot of accusations of Mark having a small penis in there. Bit ironic coming from groups living off soy products.

The Left is so tolerant and loving... until you disagree with them.

Then, they think you should be ridiculed into killing yourself 🀑

Well good for him, upgrading to a more modern flattop. Someone should tell him he can get rid of the CH and get a nice co-witnessed reflex optic and flip-up BUIS.

Much easier on old eyes to acquire targets.

DoesFreeSpeechExist 1 point ago +2 / -1

He got the same classic model AR-15. The dude has style.

2
scyenceFiction 2 points ago +3 / -1

It's not. He had a civilian-variant A2. The new one is an A3/A4/M4-style upper. Note the two big screws on the new one attaching the removable carry handle to the Pic rail milled into the upper.

The A1/A2 was one monolithic piece, making optics mounting a bit challenging and wrecks your cheek weld.

2
DoesFreeSpeechExist 2 points ago +3 / -1

You are correct! I was mainly pointing out the general style of the shroud, and the barrel length.

Nowadays, there are so many options. You don't see the classic parts as often.

1
Maker_Wolf 1 point ago +1 / -0

Agreed, I wear glasses so I find a red dot to be vastly superior to irons in terms of time to get the sight picture. Even without glasses im sure its faster.

1
catvideos3 1 point ago +1 / -0

20” barrel, carry handle and iron sights, no optic… I mean it’sa good starter AR.

1
k_the_c 1 point ago +1 / -0

I thought it was an M16.

1
Firespawn 1 point ago +1 / -0

The complete ignorance in that thread. So many liberal men with vaginas too.

They don't want to know facts about that gun. They just rather run with the lie as if the AR is a fully auto war machine.

They still took the plea deal, lost my vote.

SimPilot 1 point ago +1 / -0

That thing needs few tact-toys. Flashlight, redot and better forward grip. Also...he REALLY needs to spend time at a range. And his wife as well.

He caught a lot of shit for purporting to β€œgive up” his firearms. Seems these were just silly fake news headlines after all. Relieved to see this.
