I’m barely keeping my 17 yr old from getting the vax, and we have a very good relationship. I’m pushing the whole experimental and long term angle, and the statistics about the low risk in that age group, but it’s very hard when you are being undermined at every turn. Thankfully she trusts me. They are bombarded by propaganda and told to ignore the “conspiracies”, which can include parents. They use peer pressure, celebrities, and free shit… I think being homeschooled this past year has helped. But late teen/college age, that’s a real balancing act.

I can, as it refused to load. So I'm ignoring it.

I'll never trust the government again after the Anthrax bullshit in the past 2 decades.

I agree, Anthrax hasn’t put out a decent album since Persistence of Time!

limit her social media. those apps do NOT stop pushing it. just constantly all "get your vaccine badge!" bullshit

She actually limits herself lol. She has a couple of things to track stuff she’s interested in, and WhatsApp to talk with her friends, but no insta, Twitter, fb, or the other crap. But even with limited social media, they can’t get away from it. It makes me so mad.

Wow at least she is listening to you, that is a rare feat in today’s society: teenagers who trust the wisdom of their parents over pop culture.

Just tell them that there is a traditional, old school stye vaccine coming out this fall - Coronavax by Novavax. So, they can just hold out until then. By then this may all be a moot point, anyway.
