I threw every piece of Nike clothing this house owned when the Kaepernick shit happened.

LowKeyPede 17 points ago +17 / -0

Same.

plznosteal 10 points ago +10 / -0

Maybe that’s why they are making bold claims like egregious quote. Americans aren’t buying their bull anymore and they need a new market.

The companies 80s kids built.

posedgeclk 4 points ago +4 / -0

Remember back in the '60s when California was lined with Nike missiles because the assets were so important to protect? How times have changed!

30
Tweedlethree 30 points ago +31 / -1

I am sure the shares holders were absolutely delighted at his statement. I feel a boycott coming on.

39
Nunyo 39 points ago +39 / -0

Nope, everyone who still buys Nike are so woke they dont care. We already know who they work for so real patriots are awake to their bullshit. Colleges, NFL, nba, mlb all buy their shit or have licensing agreements with them.

16
War_Hamster 16 points ago +16 / -0

Yup, most people who are the type to boycott Nike already did so long ago.

It was the Daryl Morey thing for me, but I think I was slow on the draw because I don't wear nike gear aside from an old pair of hoop shoes, but I also boycotted the NBA immediately, which was early to the sports boycott.

11
conservativeyuppie 11 points ago +11 / -0

Even when I was in college just a few years ago, the lefties were protesting the on campus store for selling Nike products because they have issues with their labor practices.

14
War_Hamster 14 points ago +14 / -0

Amazing how those SJW idiots completely flip-flopped on their standards when it gave them power?

9
Tweedlethree 9 points ago +10 / -1

People are boycotting sports. Progress is slow but we will win in the end.

1
Ivleeeg 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think that's a gross miscalculation. Plausible deniability is there for a reason. But that's gone with this statement.

1
plznosteal 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yup. They burned that bridge and are moving forward.

Plus they don't have to pay the shipping costs.

"Take your child to work day" works differently over there

3
Spark-001 3 points ago +3 / -0

The free market working as intended. This is what happens now that foreigners have more consumers than us.

6
Rage1234 6 points ago +7 / -1

Except thier billion is mostly poor farmers.

2
mickeydee 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bingo

2
Ivleeeg 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly.

1
Fourtyandfourtyfive 1 point ago +1 / -0

But will an average Chinese family pay $800 for a pair of Jordan’s??

May be more customers but not as much buying power.

bill_in_texas 5 points ago +5 / -0

No one this might offend is buying Nike stuff.

3
ThundrGatti 3 points ago +3 / -0

When you learn all the same investment firms own majority shares of ALL these companies, and all the competing companies you will run to, you'll realize it doesn't affect them at all. You boycott Coke and go buy from a competitor, but guess what? It's the same shareholders. Heads they win, tails you lose

3
RabidZoo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't buy any of it. That's what I do. Drink more water folks.

17
Dogpile1 17 points ago +17 / -0

There’s 1.4 Billion chinese. They don’t care what you or I think anymore.

7
Thep1mp 7 points ago +7 / -0

And they shouldn’t because I don’t give a fuck about them or their company and I’m not a revenue source for them. . They can do their thing- I don’t have to buy from them and I won’t.

13
Chuj 13 points ago +13 / -0

It's difficult to boycott them more than no purchases already, but I'll go through the closet and look for donations for Goodwill

One way to damage their brand is to have homeless dudes wearing Nike

I periodically get Starbucks cards and give them to homeless folk - helps them out and hurts Starbucks

13
JSullz59 13 points ago +13 / -0

I work in the apparel industry and I'll never sell Nike to a customer. I'll lose sales before selling Nike. There's really no trye made in America option but UA is from Honduras and that's a bit better but not much.

bill_in_texas 10 points ago +10 / -0

The expensive New Balance shoes are made in the US, the 990 models.

5
1A2A 5 points ago +5 / -0

https://www.newbalance.com/pd/made-in-us-990v5/M990V5-34277.html#dwvar_M990V5-34277_size=10&dwvar_M990V5-34277_style=M990CP5&dwvar_M990V5-34277_width=D&pid=M990V5-34277&quantity=1

Actually liked these ones till I read they were made by a specific skin color.

I’LL MAKE MY OWN MOCCASINS FIRST, FAGGOTS!!!!

3
RabidZoo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Damn...I like(d) those also. I was looking at buying a pair of the Made-In-America NBs too.

3
JSullz59 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah my company doesn't work with new balance. We don't really do shoes anyway.

11
sully 11 points ago +11 / -0

Make sure you don't buy Converse either. Owned by Nike.

1
Latin_Patriot_MAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

also Umbro

10
Groundpounder 10 points ago +10 / -0

The “swoosh” is the sound of me taking my money off the counter and back into my wallet

8
RyeDaD 8 points ago +8 / -0

Dumped Nike long long ago.

6
SteveHuffmansTeeth 6 points ago +6 / -0

What fucking shoes can we buy anymore? Are there any of these companies that have at least kept their mouths shut and not put themselves in to politics?

3
45FortheWin 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well, the Pillow Guy Mike Lindell sells slippers.

2
Penguinrevenge 2 points ago +2 / -0

Next week on CNN: "Slippers, the new style of white supremacists..."

6
Spez-Covfefe 6 points ago +6 / -0

Not that they're any better probably - but I prefer Adidas.

A million squatting gopniks can't be wrong.

4
Keiichi81 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't think I've ever given Nike a single cent. Their shoes are shitty-looking eyesores that disintegrate within a month of use. The only reason idiots buy their overpriced crap is because they're the "official shoe of the NBA."

4
CynicalTwit22 4 points ago +4 / -0

In the interest of saving the planet I will not contribute to Nike's carbon footprint. The shoes and clothing are made in China, they can stay in China.

4
CaptainJamesChaos 4 points ago +4 / -0

I always wondered why Nike was always pushed as this big wonder shoe. Now it all makes sense.

It’s just a money vacuum for China.

3
GaTechGrad 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's scary how many people I see wearing nike trash these days... that and NASA shirts

3
Wholelottarosie1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ugh as an aviation and space nerd it drives me crazy that so many idiots are walking around in NASA logo clothes. Especially in NYC, perps love to wear it.

2
bangbus 2 points ago +2 / -0

Every time I see one I think “Cool clock, Ahmed.”

3
malthael 3 points ago +3 / -0

I have never owned Nike shoes, I always wanted to try them though to see what the big fuss was, then I found out they use sweat shops and New Balance does not, so I buy New Balance, plus the shoes I buy also usually say made in the US which is okay with me, Canada does not make anything for itself because the entire country is spoiled and full of entitled shits.

But now Nike is open to loving China because that is where most of their sweat shops are probably located, that and Africa, yet the left calls us racists, heh.

3
mailinvoter 3 points ago +3 / -0

The problem is that, no matter what other brand you buy instead is most likely going to be made in a sweat shop with slave labor. Only way around this is to make your own.

2
Beeferson 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nike employee average age is 7

2
Monzie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Great, get the hell out of our country then.

2
Myzlplix 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nike owns Converse and Hurley as well, so cross those off the list if you haven't already

2
xkgb 2 points ago +2 / -0

Isn't Nike HQ in Portland?

2
Fortyfive2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, so basically not America

2
badgerdontgiveafuck 2 points ago +2 / -0

I took a shit in my roommate's Nikes. The guy's a commie anyway. Eats tofu and celery and crap like that.

2
Poolmanstl 2 points ago +2 / -0

That happened around 4yrs ago at our house

2
PB_Mack 2 points ago +2 / -0

The swoosh looks like a bent knee to me.

1
ausglitsch 1 point ago +1 / -0

quick question: how did they get a dime out of you in the first place?

Simping for China. The lowest of the low

1
newuser999 1 point ago +1 / -0

Companies realize the market growth China offers and then they bend the knee. It happens to most companies

1
BoomCannon 1 point ago +1 / -0

They just now are not getting a single cent from you again?

I haven’t purchased anything Nike for a lonnng time.

1
Wholelottarosie1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

Havent worn Nike since kaperdick. UA, Adidas, Merrell and NB.

1
Dutch_1980 1 point ago +1 / -0

We should send their shoes back to them, old and stinky. Old baseball cleats and any old nike sports equipment.

1
Canuck4Trump2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

Calling on New Balance...I believe you are American Made....step up and remind people who cares about America !!!!

1
LurkamusPrime 1 point ago +1 / -0

I probably should throw out all my Nike products.....oh wait i don't have any i haven't since early 2000s. F them I can't wait till this all Blows up in their face.

1
Czshad2 1 point ago +1 / -0

I gave my prize Nike's that I maybe wore twice a year to my son to mud around with. Nike sucks.

1
Kael 1 point ago +1 / -0

Anymore?

1
JohnnyThomas 1 point ago +1 / -0

No wonder their shoes feel like Chinese foot binding to me.

1
findthewarmspot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Way to kill your American buyers just to appease the Chinese ones...

1
LiteraIIyHitIer 1 point ago +1 / -0

JUST TAKE IT.

1
GeoG85 1 point ago +1 / -0

Aaaand Nike stocks proceed to dive by the millions.

Then they say, businesses love doing this - virtue signalling followed by a massive dive in stocks.

It's like people are accepting Public Suicide without question of Motif.

Never bought from them since the LGTBQ donating bullshit.

1
Lazy8 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wait! This has to be said again??? After kapercrap, and all the Nike commie shit that went down before people actually forgot about all that and were supporting Nike again?? Wtf?

1
Pegstar69 1 point ago +1 / -0

I just finished his book, "Hillbilly Elegy". Excellent read.

1
Chilen 1 point ago +1 / -0
