Looks like a typical formation of men cleaning the deck with hoses. Hard to tell with such low res.

By they all seem to be wearing different colored clothes, some read and some grey. Don't the Chinese navy have uniforms?

Crew on an aircraft carrier wear different colors to signify their jobs, since it is very loud and chaotic on a carrier deck the ability to quickly spot a particular type of crew member is important.

This is pretty much standard in every navy.

Fair enough, but why would all of them scrub the deck, and why start at that specific spot. Isn't there a specific deck cleaning crew?

There is no indication that they started at that spot, its just one still photo from a sat image.

No, there is not a specific crew that cleans the deck. Since an aircraft carrier can only hold a fixed complement of crew they don't have just a deck cleaning crew. Most of a flight deck crew is cross trained on multiple jobs, since it is a war ship you must factor in casualties but still get the mission done.

Flight deck crew members assemble all hands on deck and perform cleaning duties and also sweep the deck to remove all debris and any deck surface damage that would prevent aircraft from being able to launch.

This could also be a photo of a emergency clearing drill, say an aircraft landed and was disabled and unable to be cleared from the deck they would push it into the ocean, quickly clean up any fuel, chemical or fluid spills and prepare the deck for landing/take off.

The daily deck walk is called a "FOD" walk. (Foreign Object Damage). Metal hardware ,rocks etc collection is the goal.

My guess is a severe crash happened and they haven't repaired it as yet, do you know how long it was before it was repaired?

I agree, but they are at the same time building up to 100 missile launch pads, with full nuclear capabilities. And while I do agree, our navy is the absolute finest in the world, all woke garbage aside it’s not even close

But I also don’t know how much an aircraft carrier fits into modern warfare with actual peer-level global adversaries. They become floating graveyards in that regard

They stole the design from Russia and built it themselves. Typical of made in China.
