I have been a loyal Toyota enthusiast my entire life, and my father before me... I feel so betrayed.

I generally only buy used though, so I'm conflicted now on whether I want to keep doing that....

TravlingThr0ugh 7 points ago +7 / -0

I feel betrayed, too. My parents have five new cars from them in the 15 years. They were thinking of getting a suv or a truck from Toyota. I’m really conflicted because I’m suppose be buying a Camry soon.

BlackPillBot 6 points ago +6 / -0

Same boat here. Let’s just say it’s not happening now.

Bax101 1 point ago +1 / -0

I want a 1980 Toyota pickup 4x4 SR5.

2
JackWoods 2 points ago +2 / -0

I started way back with a 1987 Camry. Never drove anything else and mostly because I'm doing my own mechanical work and they easy to work on. German cars are a bitch the instant you pop the hood. American cars I would only consider the wrangler but its a shity Chrysler.. That's why I have a 1951 Willy's lol

Hey, before you buy into this, remember that most big corporations that donated to the grimy politicians decided after the last election that they will no longer donate to anybody in politics (this was after most companies donated to both sides of the aisle”. I would venture a guess that Toyota is no longer donating to any political side. I know quite a few companies decided after the last bullshit “election” they would hold off on any donations at all.

5
JackWoods 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think that's a good idea for companies to stay neutral.

Loyal customer here and was coming into the market for Tundra to supplement my Tacoma and wife’s 4Runner…now I know it definitely won’t be new or from a Toyota dealer if I even get one at all. Sad days

Bro, the only reason they make it in Texas is because under NAFTA (USMCA) it is cheaper for them to avoid tariffs.

You’re giving your money to Japanese multinational corporations which were a primary force in sucking the manufacturing and car industries out of America. Before it was China, it was Japan stealing our technology and breaking all the international laws so they could sell us back a cheap plastic version of our own stuff.

The fact that they give some crumbs to low wage working suckers in Texas is trivial. Buy AMERICAN.

BostonVoter 5 points ago +5 / -0

Then how is a Toyota 1000x more reliable than a Ford or chevy ? Why is it easier to work on and usually cheaper parts ? Just saying

1
BourneTactical 1 point ago +1 / -0

Let me know when Toyota makes a best selling anything in the world. They have the most reliable truck for over 40 years? Didn’t think so. Best selling sports car in the world? Didn’t think so. Anyone can make a small 4 door car reliable in 2021.

1
TuxPseudo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because it is Japanese engineering influenced by German engineering.

It is a quality machine. However buying it empowers your enemies just like buying Sprite or Gold Peek iced tea.

Your question is a non-sequitir.

Congratulations you can buy a tacky car from Japan that was designed for women who don’t know how to put air in their tires.

How does that have anything to do with helping the American economy?

2
JackWoods 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes 100% true. As for made in Texas.. All the Toyota pick ups are all made there. Not because NAFTA, first it's because 95 % of pick ups are sold in North America and the other 5% is sold in Syria apparently.. Lol. Shipping 95% of a product makes no sense so they are built here and in return they fulfill NAFTA and everything else is shipped from Japan without trouble.

But I agree with you. I feel like I bought a cheap prostitue. But damn that taco is sweet

"japan is based"

A warning that lazy and complacent attitudes like this yield no reward.

6
Shaffro 6 points ago +6 / -0

I have had my beautiful, white, Tundra for over 20 years. A little over 50,000 miles. Yes, I baby it. Shame on Toyota.

2
NotTakingDownMyFlag 2 points ago +2 / -0

shit the engine hasn't even warmed up yet. mine is in the late teens with 230k on it.

3
FreeKyle2020 3 points ago +3 / -0

They're just trying to appease the leftists. Not sure why. They can't afford new cars.

3
Zskills 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hyundai has been proving they can make a reliable sedan. I'm happy with mine

3
Beeferson 3 points ago +4 / -1

So half the country no longer buys toyotas and the other half all want teslas....good luk with that.

2
FinkleisEinhorn 2 points ago +2 / -0

At this point I guess I'll just have to make my own car.fugget

2
Jack_HinsonTN 2 points ago +2 / -0

What's the list of congress members who refused to certify the fake results? Is there such a list?

2
Reborned20 2 points ago +2 / -0

All this means is that Every board of Director and Every Vice President and higher needs to be Fired from Toyota.

You want it you got it Toyota !

2
BrewSwillis 2 points ago +3 / -1

Doesn't bother me. I've been boycotting Toyota since forever. Buy from an American company, who still employees more Americans than Toyota ever will!

If it wasn't for Toyota, and the others, the Big 3 wouldn't have to make cars in Canada and Mexico.

5
PhilosoGuido 5 points ago +5 / -0

The "Big 3" are garbage quality junk made by lazy entitled Demonrat union workers. The UAW has probably done more to empower the radical left in America than just about any other national institution. Chrysler isn't even American owned anymore.

2
Pede4Pepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed! I always bought Toyota because not many other vehicles I can drive as hard as I do for 220k+ miles and only spend money on the regular preventative maintenance. Owned American made before and their business model is to make their money on parts and labor of perpetual repairs.

2
Singingthebattlecry 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lol, look at the UAW for policies that have pushed jobs away.

1
goddamnhologram 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m still keeping my 80

1
Faraday27 1 point ago +1 / -0

Go test drive their vehicles. Go through the beginnings of the purchase process. Back out after a bit and tell them why. If enough people take the time to waste toyota dealers time, their gas, and spell out the reason in detail to their faces it will have an impact.

1
Great05 1 point ago +1 / -0

Weird. That's like the stupidest decision they could have made right now knowing perfectly well that states are calling for audits.

1
Censorddit 1 point ago +1 / -0

EMAIL THEM I DID TELLING THEM ABOUT THEIR LOST SALES

I told all of you that you shouldn't trust TOYOTA, that's why I only use the HONDA brand.

1
BourneTactical 1 point ago +1 / -0

And all those idiots saying buy Toyota dudes. We can ride around in our fake trucks and Prius.

1
TuxPseudo 1 point ago +1 / -0

LEXUS IS OWNED BY TOYOTA. DON’T BUY LEXUS.

ONLY FILTHY FING COMMUNISTS DRIVE THESE SHIT WAGONS.

Yeah clicking three things is just so taxing, but not as taxing as complaining about it. Poor you!

1
BunnyPicnic 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why do these companies do this? Is it because they want to use cheap, slave labor? Is it because they truly believe Biden won? Or is the board of CEOs all pedophiles and are scared shitless?

0
missfrew 0 points ago +1 / -1

Totally sucks. Just a couple of weeks ago they stated they didn't do politics and I posted about how proud we were of our January 2021, Corolla Ascent, Glacier White. (Still a great car, gonna love it regardless.)

-1
Bax101 -1 points ago +3 / -4

He is working with the Skylink to be incorporated with DARPA project Blackjack 5G from space. Everyone who is jabbed is full of graphene oxide nanoparticles making them become magnetic and give out frequencies. They're basically an antenna for 5G and once that is online by July-August with Blackjack being rolled out end of year we will see the deaths spike. Think "Dark Winter" that hasn't come yet and I believe it will this year.
