Don't buy corporate food. It's full of garbage and supports assholes. Make your own cookies or buy from small American companies instead, preferably local.

QuickHands 69 points ago +70 / -1

The issue arises with people who want to make a full-time living selling small batch cookies ergo they want me to pay like 9.75 for the equivalent of one pack of Chips Ahoy. Too greedy.

Work your full time job, make baked goods on the side, sell for decent price. Should be easy and logical enough but never is. If you can't make a dozen cookies for under $6, you're wasting my time and yours as well.

TomWolfsTinyDick 53 points ago +64 / -11

Don't eat cookies, they make you fat.

BloodElfSupporter 40 points ago +43 / -3

Only women and children eat cookies; grown men eat raw meat and drink Liberals’ tears

Dane4Trump 21 points ago +21 / -0

But don't you get spike proteins from that?

Jack_HinsonTN 11 points ago +11 / -0

The distillation process fixes that.

hillarysdildont 7 points ago +7 / -0

Jack_HinsonTN 3 points ago +3 / -0

🎶 Get your copper kettle, get your copper coil

Fill it with fresh squeezed liberal tears

And never more you'll toil

We'll just lay there by the juniper

While the moon is bright

Watch them jugs a-filling

In the pale moonlight... 🎶

MR_ROBOT1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

MrVegan -2 points ago +2 / -4

No food makes you fat. You can make cookies out of your morning oatmeal. We have a daily fat balance. If you consume more fat than you metabolize, you gain. Eating sugar slows and even arrests fat metabolism.

Thrasymachus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Eating sugar slows and even arrests fat metabolism.

Dangerously wrong. Dear readers, this is why you need to eat healthy and learn critical reasoning, else you'll end up in the looney bin with this fuckin' guy.

MrVegan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Have you never heard of Vo2 max? I can hook you up and show you your fat vs carb metabolism. Carbs are the preferred fuel. I’ll take on any of you misinformed. Let’s go

LonelyLadypedeSF_CA 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can call it anecdotal, but I call it observational, that every vegan I've ever met has sallow skin and is listless. The best diet is variation in the products of life on Earth (plant and animal) and moderation, and avoiding processed foods as much as possible. I've never looked or felt more healthy!

Thrasymachus 1 point ago +1 / -0

The metabolic pathway for fructose is not the same as glucose (nor the same as ethanol, although that has more in common with the former than the latter).

Go ahead and tell us all the the advantageous effects of the metabolism of fructose in the liver. I'll wait.

MrVegan 1 point ago +1 / -0

OKRancher 3 points ago +3 / -0

I thought you were joking or trolling until I read your username. You might want to do a little more reading on the subject.

Jimmyjetfuel 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, someone tell him that his morning oatmeal can make him fat!

MrVegan 1 point ago +1 / -0

I am one of the leading global professionals on the subject and have more weight loss testimonials than likely anyone else…

OKRancher 1 point ago +1 / -0

“Leading global professionals” on what subject? Who gave you that title? I’m glad you’re a healthy weight now. Do you really think fat is bad for you? How is cookies better for you than steak, for example, for breakfast?

I’m not trying to give you shit. You claim to know what you’re talking about and I’m truly wishing to be enlightened.

MrVegan 2 points ago +2 / -0

Obesity. 20 years & widespread success. Thinking that a food is bad for you got us into this mess. It’s over simplistic and solves zero. “Bad foods” makes the problem (obesity) worse. Some people are able to self regulate food intake better than others and maintain a healthy weight in a excessive caloric environment. We burn about half our calories at rest as fat. See Ray Cornise Oxidative Priority to understand. For an average person that may be 75 grams a day of fat before fat accumulation beyond metabolic ability (depending on other dietary and physical factors) 75x9=675x2=1350 BMR. You can then read Kevin Hall’s numerous metabolic ward studies & you’ll have a clearer grasp of the obesity epidemic, but still be powerless to help people.

NoSteppy2020 1 point ago +2 / -1

Retard ALERT.

PodunkTexas 37 points ago +38 / -1

As a person who spent a few years developing new food products, the expense of small batch products has to do with the cost of small volume ingredients. When I create a new product I know that I won't make a dime of profit until I get to the mass production stage. Places like Starbucks that charge $6 for a cup of coffee... that's greed!

Hempaid 23 points ago +23 / -0

Add to that, whole foods and clean ingredients end up being more expensive then all the filler crap most products are stuffed with.

MrVegan 2 points ago +5 / -3

Not when you factor in healthcare and loss of productive years of life

OKRancher 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hempaid 1 point ago +1 / -0

You are absolutely right, unfortunately most of people can't think in those terms. Tell someone all the differences between soy free eggs vs soy as the main diet. It's a massive change in nutrition but most people won't pay 8$ vs the normal 1 buck for a dozen.

Kaiheitai 7 points ago +8 / -1

At $9.75 you're not only paying a living human being who makes things with her hands instead of feeding MegaGayFoodCorp who just processes shit you should never eat.

plaaaa 5 points ago +5 / -0

I know but I'd rather spend 30 minutes baking my own.

snoopy3210 2 points ago +3 / -1

Hey, if you keep Nabisco here they'll have to pay decent salaries and in turn your local cookie shop will be able to compete. That's key to Trumps tariffs on China and Mexico. Also there's a mandatory 16$ an hour for building cars in Mexico now. Again that helps manufacturers here.

thisguy883 1 point ago +1 / -0

This trendy cookie shop opened in our area.

for 3, yes 3 cookies, its around $10.

They only have 6 types of cookies to choose from. That's it.

Wife wanted to try it because its SUPER trendy, something a woman would like. Tried the cookies, decided never to go back.

The fact there was a line almost out the door to try these things is evidence enough that people will try just about anything regardless of price so long as the place is new and exciting.

powershellder 3 points ago +3 / -0

Is it Crumbl?

pallman 26 points ago +26 / -0

Yeah and always flip over the item at the store and look up the parent company. 9/10 it is some globohomo company: Proctor and Gamble, nabisco, kraft, nestle, etc. All poison foods

only buy when the company is the same as the name on the front. Probably still globohomo but it’s a start.

IamDevo 8 points ago +8 / -0

Mondelez International owns Nabisco and a fuck ton of other brands.

MasksAreChildAbuse 11 points ago +11 / -0

The story of Nabisco coming about is pretty evil too.

The Loose brothers who invented Hydrox (the original sandwich cookie before they invented it) were growing and to compete in price with other companies, wanted to create National Biscuit Company comprised of many bakers to reduce costs.

However the Loose brothers had a lawyer to help them with all their legal stuff over the years. When they asked him to help form the new Nabisco organization, the lawyer wrote himself as the President of the new company. The brothers we’re effectively pushed out. So they had to start a new company.

They did and they invented Hydrox. And Hydrox were the most popular cookie (I forget the exact numbers but the brothers basically started rivaling Nabisco in sales in a short while). Then Nabisco, helmed by the evil company stealing lawyer decided to steal their cookie design too and created Oreo.

Oreos were overwhelmingly viewed as inferior. However the brothers had lots of health problems, and ended up dying relatively young at important growth points of the company. The people who took over just didn’t have the same passion for it as they did, and positioned Nabsico to begin taking over as the “premiere” cookie. the company (which eventually became Sunshine) just slowly became a low tiered baking company. Eventually selling itself and ending its product lines over the years. Including Hydrox.

Hydrox is around now, but only because a company that specializes in buying rights to dead products bought them and released it again.

oddly Wikipedia seems to have scrubbed all this on all relevant pages (Joseph Loose, Nabsico, Oreo, Hydrox, etc pages) but you watch many YouTube videos about it.

LonelyLadypedeSF_CA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wow, Pede. The feel-bad tale of the day. Poor Loose brothers! The Nabsico mispell is appropriate: Nab for steal and sico for sickos!

IamDevo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thanks brother. I didn't know the full history. Wow.

dhcprelease 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wikipedia is stupid in general, they got rid of the Xbox gwg page (along with the page of my 5th fav jav pornstar but I digress)

dhcprelease 1 point ago +1 / -0

Got my hands on a made in and for sale only in india, 1head&handle(the head they put on handles are better than refill cartridges right?) mach3(even lists the recommended retail price of 180rs on the back of the printed cardboard label)...surprisingly uptopar quality atleast on the 1st shave(aka not unuseable trash like blue3simple...not all 3blade gilletes are made the same) but even if the blades turnout to not last as long as mach3s made in non3rdworlds, I can't fucking complain when it's suppose to be priced at 180rs, domestic prices are blm jogger robberies

But yeah international general Mills made in france haagen masterace, not of that nestle dreyer bs, that's why Israel won't give 2poops abt b&j leaving them, not while they've got France haagen

Ironyde 22 points ago +22 / -0

This. Patriots need to stop supporting communists financially.

Don't go to the cinema for Hollywood movies anymore, don't buy their junk food, don't watch their media.

The alternatives are there. Use them.

TightyWhitey 4 points ago +5 / -1

I’m torn. On one hand, there is almost no way to avoid supporting corporate monopolies. That said, if a local person can make a small living selling baked goods on the side, I will support that person 130% (even if the food isn’t that good).

DeplorableKatie 8 points ago +8 / -0

Agreed. I go out of my way to find locally produced food and goods. Usually it’s much better than store bought and I’m willing to pay a much higher price for it. I’d rather support neighbors that get their kids swim lessons or needs a new roof than a large corporation.

MrVegan 6 points ago +6 / -0

There are endless ways. Start with your local farmers market

OKRancher 4 points ago +4 / -0

The guys that sell watermelons and stuff on the corner usually buy a truckload from a farmer. That’s also a good way and very convenient.

VirPopulus 1 point ago +2 / -1

The problem with that is that when our boycotts have enough of an impact that they feel it financially, Soros & Co. will just bail them out.

The other problem is that many (if not most) of the people here who call themselves Patriots are only willing to have daydream fantasies about full-out revolution. They don't even realize that there's so much that we can do before it comes to that point, or are too lazy/careless to make even minor changes in their programmed lives (i.e. boycotting Nabisco or cancelling cable TV, Facebook, Twitter, et al.).

HeavyMetalPatriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's not even about boycotts anymore because you're right that GloboHomo will always bail out their own. It's about what can WE do to stand up every day in small ways, whether its pestering an elected clown or saying NO to corporations that hate us. By saying YES to a specific small business, we are consciously voting with our dollars - and even if that doesn't change the system, it changes US.

dhcprelease 1 point ago +1 / -0

Facebook doesn't care if u use FB, they are far more focused on making sure u're kids use insta over tiktok(I'm unsure what ad selling data harvesting is done to make WhatsApp a profitable business though)

Specter 10 points ago +11 / -1

basedvirginian 6 points ago +6 / -0

Specter 4 points ago +5 / -1

frogface 2 points ago +2 / -0

runonce 69 points ago +69 / -0

Oreo is a knockoff of Hydrox. Hydrox has better ingredients, not as sweet but uses actual cane sugar, no hydrogenated oils and non gmo. Hydrox came out in 1908 and was the original. It's also made in America. You've been eating the off-brand all these years.

The_Kuru 21 points ago +22 / -1

Not a very appetizing brand name though. They should call them "Patriot Cookies" or something. Oh, wait, that means terrorist cookies.

TightyWhitey 24 points ago +24 / -0

“Hydrox” sounds like floor cleaner, lol.

HiddenDekuScrub 3 points ago +3 / -0

The name was supposed to evoke the purity of water.

Kinda overly-fancy for the predecessor of Oreos, but yeah.

Winner2020 12 points ago +12 / -0

Came here to say this. Oreos are a Hydrox knockoff. Some say Hydrox might prevent Chinese Bat Flu.

TheEvacuator 7 points ago +7 / -0

Interesting, I don't eat oreos but, I'll have to search for those Hydrox.

Seatacjoe 6 points ago +6 / -0

Dane4Trump 6 points ago +6 / -0

Hydrox, a cookie so good it can cure covid.

(take together with zink tablets)

LonelyLadypedeSF_CA 0 points ago +1 / -1

And wash it down with tonic water (quinine). That chloro part is a little tricky, though!

freundwich 3 points ago +3 / -0

I know it's all a matter of taste and everyone's different, but I prefer Oreos much more than Hydrox.

LostInUS 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, I have to agree. Hydrox cookies always tasted strange - almost like a burnt taste to me.

TheEvacuator 1 point ago +1 / -0

Once you get old and wise, you'll get to love em.

LostInUS 1 point ago +1 / -0

You mean after you're old enough that your taste buds are shot and nothing tastes right.

CovfefeAnon 52 points ago +52 / -0

Fact checking has mutated into the most subversive aspect of untrustworthy news. Libs can't help lying. It's their own version of Taqiyyah.

pallman 12 points ago +12 / -0

Leftists have their own version of reality, to a leftist anything that pushes communist revolution is the truth. Their brain literally warps reality around them and interprets plain provable falsehoods has true. It’s why they can be caught in complete lies and hypocrisies all the time and remain completely unphased

CovfefeAnon 7 points ago +7 / -0

"The perfect leftist is the fanatical hypocrite. While his beliefs correspond precisely to his own advantage, he believes in them furiously just the same. His opportunism does not even slightly detract from his sincerity, which is palpable and enormous. Indeed, if the situation changes and so do his interests, his mind will change as well. And change sincerely."

pallman 6 points ago +7 / -1

He’s slightly wrong though, it’s not technically hypocritical. It’s just that conservative/normal people don’t understand their formula. They will always do and say whatever it takes to push communist revolution. They are 100% consistent on that.

It’s why they might say “Trump is the one like Fidel Castro” but then later admit they admire Fidel Castro. Why would they say the first statement then? It’s because in their brain they know their audience would be sympathetic to that argument, and it would help, however slightly, push for communist revolution here. But then later, in the same argument, they might want to convince you that Cuban socialism is actually good, and that would also push for communist revolution here.

They are actually not hypocritical once you know the formula. However, you will find even moderate democrats are following the same pattern all of the time. It really is a mental disorder

So called fact checkers are lower than journalists. We need a revolutions of truth. The amount of lies and propaganda we're exposed to is fucked and most of us don't have time to research everything.

I'm getting some slight pressure from my in laws to get the covid jab but I've read enough to be highly sceptical. At least sceptical enough to wait and see. The thing is there's no much damn information out there that it's hard to know what's real. I don't even bother searching using Google because, well, you know.

Scipio_Americanus 8 points ago +8 / -0

Mondelēz International is one of the largest food manufacturers in Australia Brands which include Cadbury, The Natural Confectionery Co, Pascall, Philadelphia, and OREO. Mexican Oreos are nasty, they have a weird corn taste (not a joke, it's like an artificial corn flavor or something). I contacted the company and their "Customer Service" basically told me to shut up, it doesn't matter where they're made, the cookies are exactly the same. Thus, all Nabiscro products are banned from our house and business.

Moebius 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not only are they 'Hecho in Mehico' they changed the formula. It was in the 1990s when they began changing things for 'health' reasons and making their cookie taste different.

If the company went woke, it deserves to close.

Does NO one in NJ know how to make cookies? Homemade Cookies can be sold in Donutshops, diners, small specialty stores, and mail order. Demand American made products. Open that vitamine- sandwich/soup shop in white neighborhoods.

Start sourcing something from a local small business.

Start boycotting businesses that don't employ white people. Where do you shop? Do ANY white people work there? Elderly people and teens in all white neighborhoods still get local jobs like that in most American communities. What about age? Do the workers in your local large grocery store match the demographics of the neighborhood? Are teens having trouble finding summer jobs because the entry-level jobs are ALL taken by aggressive immigrants? Communities have to cater to their populations first, boycott stores like that- or only buy the sale item they are losing money on to get you in the store. If you live in the city, become familiar with where your local farmer's market is being held and buy produce there.

That cookie was invented by an American in 1912, you can invent a new one, possibly healther? The cream filling was originally lard and sugar. Maybe a smart cookie with nootropics? No foreigner will ever be able to win an argument with a fat American again.

They put out a special 'Lady Gaga' Oreo, but I guess sales were not so good- and it is a markdown at dollar shops. This is why I am thinking they were forced into some woke agenda before closing. If they only hired immigrants, good riddance.

FiresideRant 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oreo's have been chocolate flavored cardboard with wall spackling between them for years now. Ever since Nabisco was bought out by Mondelez International, which is anything but an American corporation.

This is how these fact checkers usually are. They always go through mental gymnastics.

Fact checker: "The company did not relocate any jobs to mexico"

Reality: "The company is in process of moving operations to mexico but it takes a few months to do that. Sure, no jobs moved to mexico as of the date of the fact checking but next week, all the jobs will gone".

Even as a kid I preferred Hydrox over Oreos.

Now I'm 67 years old, 6'2", 215 lbs.(my same weight at 30 yrs. old), and am still more muscular than the typical 30 yr. old in today's U.S. I attribute my health to the fact that when I married my wife she stopped my consumption of most processed food. She bakes our bread and during the holidays she bakes cookies. She even has me cooking old recipes like the Brunswick stew my father used to cook. We eat good food every day and are healthier than our kids who think that what they got as occasional treats growing up should now be everyday foods.

You become what you eat.
