My bedroom as a kid took more damage than these assholes are stating. “Domestic Terrorism”, yeah, trespassing with a Trump flag. Got it. They aren’t POW’s or anything now.

They aren’t POW’s

This is where you are wrong...

alienjesus 15 points ago +15 / -0

No I’m not. The government is illegitimate. Any person who entered the capital peacefully and taken in by the FBI or Capital Police is a political prisoner.

Hostages is what I would call them.

POWs get far more rights.

My cousin's tea party has had more damage than the 6th.

basedvirginian 8 points ago +8 / -0

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Tea Party? Come on. You know the last time we had a Tea Party here it ended with the rallying cry of 1776!! What were y’all thinking???

I did more damage to my toilet after undercook chicken from Pollo Tropico than what happened on Jan 6th

Every silent civil rights organization is nothing more than a money laundering operation.

B-b-but… they left like three empty water bottles on the floor after someone knocked into a bookshelf! 😭 (I would add a couple of broken windows to the list, but we all know that was AntiFa/FBI 😉)

The least they could have done was recycle them. I'm literally shaking right now at the thought.

8
TheBritisher 8 points ago +8 / -0

Now that you mention it, I dont remember seeing anyone riding a motorbike down the stairs during Jan 6th.

The FBI goes to swinger parties that result in more bodily harm that J6.

Have the mods gone back and looked at some of the posts on TD.win from 1/5?

I'd like to see who those users were that were posting provocative shit.

I'll bet they're all FBI?

Exactly.

But repairs after house parties don't go to the highest bidder. The Capitol spends thousands and thousands to fix one window.

There is a very convoluted process to repair historic federal buildings.

One of the buildings I work with is a historic federal building from 1906. Each individual tile on the outside has to be replaced with tiles made to be as identical as possible to the original. They have to use the same type of rock, preferably from the same quarry. They have to do the finish cutting of the rock using the same kinds of tools the original was done with. They have to be installed using the same methods as originally used. I can see why it gets as expensive as it does.

It also makes it easier to fudge high numbers. I can describe how they have to make these bricks in minute detail, and most people will automatically recognize how expensive this is. And a lot of people will give it no thought, after all, “we should restore these for future generations”. So when I say it will take 10 million dollars most people will just go along with it.

Chopblock 2 points ago +2 / -0

The oft-quoted “3 million dollars to repair the damage” consisted of only $25,000 in actual restoration of damaged artwork and fixtures. The remaoning $2,975,000 was to add new security upgrades and provide psychological counseling.

What is the process behind baking a $12 muffin? Does the federal government require hand grinding the flour by descendants of slaves?

What about $65,000s for hotdogs? That require airplane delivery.

It's all a joke and most of the damage was done afterwards, people throwing papers around and all, its all on tape, every room is video and it would tell you the whole story and it won't take long but Pelosi is never giving up those tapes. It is a joke, everyone in DC knows it. It was all DOJ on this one just like the Whitmer fake kidnapping, same people, same criminals.

I'm sure I'd be in prison for life as I would have taken a dump on Pelosi's desk.

Did you donate your clothes to the Smithsonian after cleaning up?

Hell I’ve done more damage drunk in my own room on multiple occasions.

One of our annexes in college had parties so insane they literally tore the house down and built a new one a few months after several parties led to excessive damage throughout. People would regularly tip over kegs and punch holes in the walls and roof (when standing on it).

The dump i just took did significantly more damage to my toilet, than the group led tour did to the Capitol on the 6th.

The prosecutors are seriously arguing that although most defendants didn’t cause any physical harm or destroy property, they did cause emotional and mental harm to the legislators, staff, and police via their presence (even if led in by overt and covert LEOs). Therefore, they should be given harsher sentences.

I was at a house party once in an apartment ( full of 18 - 20 something year olds ) and there were 2 apartments having parties next to each other on the third floor..

The party got so unruly and over crowded they started to tear down the drywall between the 2. By the night was over the tenants accumulated 56K in damages from torn down drywall

They connected the 2 apartments and the 2 people didn't even really know each other that well HAHAHAHA

I was at a house party which ended with a minivan in the swimming pool. I refuse to comment on my involvement.

That's true. Especially when a keg rolls down the stairs and goes through your parents wall at the bottom. That was a tough one to explain.

Including more shots fired, and not for fun. It's such a slap to the face that they make this giant case out of something so small. The 9/11 comparison is especially disgusting.

Andrew Jackson’s inauguration party was so rowdy he had to sneak through a window to leave it.
