The new section of the charter will read, “the right to defend one’s own life or the life of another person with a weapon is guaranteed under the conditions laid down by law,” broadcaster Czech Radio reports.

Move in the right direction, but this verbiage is pretty weak, particularly the 'conditions laid down by the law' part. Those conditions will take the form of limitations on what types of firearms Czech can own, where they can carry them, how they store them, what type of ammunition they can have, capacity limits, limitations on scary features, registration, and so on.

It’s a good move, but the right to defend yourself is part of being human, it isn’t derived from the government.

Most modern day christians would tell you otherwise.

They love to spout off turn the other cheek. Most of them would say there is no reason at all to ever defend yourself.

Insane. Your body is the temple! You should be cherishing and protecting it!

When did christians become as pussified as everyone else?

Christians used to turn themselves into warrior badasses when the need arose time and time again throughout history.

Now they're all a bunch of sissy queers. We need soldiers of Christ, damnit!

When did christians become as pussified as everyone else?

Somewhere along the love is love, bend a knee for BLM, read Just Mercy in your bible study group and it's ok to wear shorts and a halter top to services continuum.

2
Redleg37 2 points ago +2 / -0

What’s wrong with Just Mercy? Guy literally spent years on death row for a crime the prosecution knew he didn’t commit.

When the infiltration by libshits started.

Jesus seems like a Shotgun guy, perhaps the Dreaded AR15?

14
Brellin 14 points ago +14 / -0

they forgot about the lines where Jesus flipped tables and chased the bankers out of the temples with a whip, or where he told his followers to take up swords to defend themselves. Tolerance of evil does not a good Christian make.

Jack_HinsonTN 4 points ago +4 / -0

They tend to forget this too:

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Matthew 10:34‭-‬36 KJV

"Most"? Somehow I doubt it's anywhere near "most". Nevermind the whole "turn the other cheek" seems to be misinterpreted whenever people try to use it that way. It's meant to be an admonishment against letting petty insults turn into violent confrontations.

If you're not religious, then those rights are derived from nature. "Natural"

Cunning fuckers I say.

Self defence is now a constitutional defense. That is a HUGE step from Europe which is not only a duty to retreat CONTINENT, it's a "Poor Criminal" continent. You literally cannot in anyway stop or apprehend a criminal with more force than a phone call to the police.

If you find someone stealing your shit and call him a name you are at risk of HATE SPEECH crimes.

5
Starxteel 5 points ago +5 / -0

"under the conditions laid down by law" typical.. it's still not a natural right, you are given by law. I hate Europe.

4
BuyPepe 4 points ago +4 / -0

“Shall not be infringed”

Is the most fucking infringed sentence in the constitution. Every gun law in America is unconstitutional and should be ignored.

4
starsabove 4 points ago +4 / -0

True, but imagine how bad it would have been if the Founders had wrote 'under the conditions laid down by law' instead of 'Shall Not Be Infringed.' All civilian firearms would have been banned in the Woodrow administration, FDR at the latest.

2
Maty83 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is true, but in the European sense you could see it as a relatively good. In fact, Boris wanted to copy the law until he cucked to the left.

TL;DR is that you need mental health checkups every 5 years and renew your licence every 10 years I believe. IDK the exact stuff surrounding automatic weapons, but I know you can get yourself ARs, though since you can only buy local ammo it is expensive. The right to bear arms was already there, BUT. This is specifically a self-defence clause since you could be jailed for excessive force otherwise and this does address that.

Why did most of the slavs not cuck out on weapon ownership? Not many would tell you this, but there were open insurrections during WWII against the Nazis (Actual ones, not what libshits like to call "nazis") which severely hurt German war efforts(Indeed, killing the second-in-command of the Reich).

Past the relatively solid constitution though, the laws have generally not remained in top shape, but are at least workable.

JirkaBedr 18 points ago +18 / -0

No matter how you twist it - you can not get defense against tyrannical government out of that. Czech expat here.

15
Starxteel 15 points ago +15 / -0

"conditions laid down by law" yeah that's EVERY country except the US where it is a natural right that cannot be violated by law.

5
xzibit_b 5 points ago +7 / -2

And this will only be the case if we have a citizenry that's permanently interested and invested in their rights. Most of our "rights" right now are jokes, but they don't have to be (and no I'm not insinuating muh 1776 rise up pedes)

Also, natural rights are violated regularly in the US, and have been for a long time. But what sets the US apart is a proper avenue to redress the grievances formed by a violation of rights.

4
clownworld30330 4 points ago +4 / -0

In many U.S. States this natural right is violated hard.

Nice to see, but the wording is pretty bad. "Conditions laid down by law" is leaving it open to unjust restrictions in the future. "Granting the right" is also weird wording, given that the right to self defence isn't granted, but recognized. Its granted at birth, either by the act of being born or by God, depending on your religious views.

I'd still happily take this amendment here in England, the government are ultra cucked

2
WhitePortugese1 2 points ago +2 / -0

This pandemic has shown the UK to be one of the least based countries. Its embarrassing how many sheep here are willing to take the vax for 'freedom'. And almost no one here understands the usefulness of guns.

They fear them because they don't understand them and because they don't understand guns we'll likely never be rid of our Tyrannical government. Not to mention the UK doesn't have a historically good record of overthrowing tyrants. As far as I'm concerned, we're pretty much a lost cause.

2
EnglandNeeds2A 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree. Even the parties further right of the "conservatives" are pretty weak, and none of them dare mention our right to self defence.

At this point we're a one party state with a choice between communism and authoritarianism. No viable opposition, no dissenting figures in the public forum, and a nation where 99.99% of the people are asleep

This is how you attract skilled labor from America when SHTF and the people who wanted to be left alone have seen their nation transformed into an unrecognizable version of itself.
