Assume that anything you install is reading anything you have on any digital device and sending that information back to someone who is not your friend. Like, the CCP. Or... the Cee Eye Aye. Or is backdoor granting them access to those things.

The #1 thing I want to see ripped apart are all of these "IoT wall jack switches" that cost $14 each and enable you to turn off your lamp with your phone. I would bet a large amount of money that these innocuous devices, all made in China, are anything but innocuous.

But the more obvious one is the Alexa. Assume Amazon and a bunch of other people know when you sleep, how often and when you take a shit, what sort of information you consume, what you say to all of your friends in your home, the last time you fucked your wife, if your wife is also fucking anyone else, and pretty much anything else.

all of the home assistants have been proven to spy on you, iirc, all of them.

I had a fully automated IoT deployment I built myself for my house in like... 2015. But one day I used some equipment I have to see my network traffic and within an hour of seeing the traffic leaving my house, I shut it all down and smashed it all with a hammer.

People simply do not realize what is happening to them.

I realize but have no means to create my own, or do much about it. The best I can do is stay informed. I was reading 2600 magazine warning about stuff like this way back in the early 2k's, they also alerted me when they had a full front page splash of just how bad the first patriot act was. They printed the entire thing on one of their covers.
