That and his fatness. He found woke religion when the airline tried to make him buy two seats or something like that, two seat belts.

Basically he was humiliated like a peon and played his fame card, found out it was not worth much and has been going farther woke since.

Didn't his fatness nearly kill him? Maybe the airline debacle should have been used as an awakening to get healthier rather than a moment to pull a victim card.

Side note: was always a fan of Mallrats growing up (I know it's not one of his best, but it's so unapologetically 90s and I love it lol), but never realized there was an alternative cut that's basically a different movie. Went to show my wife the movie for the first time recentlly and accidentally found that one. It was legit a different (and horrible) movie and now Im bummed that I've ruined the flick for my wife lol

There's an alternate version of Mallrats? What do they change?

It just has a ton of different scenes to the point where it feels like a different movie. I remember for the first 20 mins or so, being like "wtf, it's like... the movie, but I don't remember any of this?" It's centered a lot more on that bald guy that hosts the gameshow and is the girlfriend's dad. Took about 20 minutes or so before it got to what I always remembered as the opening scene (Lee's character in his bedroom playing NHL 95 on sega w/ his girlfriend dumping him and climbing out the window)
