No because I wasn't expecting Trump to "lose." Of course he didn't really lose, and I knew the dems would cheat... but I never honestly expected cheating of such unspeakable proportions.

So no... I figured it would be over after the election.

Yup... Many of us were on here doing the same. All the 'just wear the mask' know-it-alls that were so prevalent on this site, were proven wrong and have quietly disappeared.

7
CAPTAIN_TENDY_PLATE2 7 points ago +7 / -0

Agreed. There were those of us calling bullshit from day one, and even people on here were like "Calm down bro, it's just two weeks to slow the spread, it isn't the end of the world".

Nobody wanted to listen to reason and see the writing on the wall. Those of us who were screaming from the rooftops that this was going to be one giant shitshow of authoritarian nonsense, were largely ignored and/or labeled as conspiracy nuts.

Well... Here we are now.

DJTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

I was telling people in RL by April last year that this was going to call come down to mandated vaccinations. Peoplw laughed and thought I was nuts. Ironically they still don't believe it to this day, despite being 90% of the way there. They should think I'm nostradomus or something, when really I just understand the puke elitists.

1
CAPTAIN_TENDY_PLATE2 1 point ago +1 / -0

These are the people who when the mandates DO finally show up, they'll just excuse it as some other nonsense to not have to admit you were right and they were wrong.

"Oh PLEASE those are just for federal workers, it's not a mandatory vaccine, it's just like being a nurse some jobs require you to get it"

Then when it goes from federal workers to contractors and state/local employees, the excuse will still be more of the same.

Then, once it extends out to all public schools and universities, it will be another excuse of "Stop being a conspiracy theorist, schools have a responsibility to keep kids safe, it's not like they're going door to door and forcing you to get the jab'

Then, once they start going door to door to try and force people to get the jab, the excuse will turn into blaming you, "Well if you just would have gotten the vax like everyone else, you wouldn't be in this situation, it's your own fault"

I suspect you'll get a fair amount of replies being like, "I DID!" Well, good for them. Personally, no, I had no idea. The bad feeling really started for me when the BLM protests were encouraged/allowed. It went against the basic reasoning they were using for the whole thing. It's just been a downhill nightmare since then. FUCK THE VACCINES, FUCK THE DIGITAL PASSPORTS. No jab, use cash as often as you can. We are the dissidents. Be proud and let's rock this bullshit.

2
entwickelnden 2 points ago +2 / -0

ya to be honest i just thought they would go back to normal dem things. not go full authoritarian... more slow authoritarian. but after realizing how theyre trying to crash our economy and many are backed by soros and elites.. forcing the great reset. it makes sense now. however i think their arrogance will get the better of them. even if they screw things, if we have stable communities and keep ourselves fed and water...and secure....its going to back fire on them harshly.

2
frombeyond 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's reasonable and I'm definitely hoping you're right. It's a hell of a grotesque thing to live through. Never thought "normal" would sound so good (OLD normal, no new normal bullshit).

12
rebelde_sin_causa 12 points ago +12 / -0

I believed from day 1 that the whole thing was political. I still think that. But it's a bigger political picture than what I then thought. I thought it was more related to the 2020 election and would be winding down now. But they are pressing ahead full speed pedal to the medal with the GR now. Whatever that entails. We'll find out.

If that's the case then they're moving too fast. They have to thread the needle because yes the apes are stupid and can be brainwashed but if you go too far they will start sniffing the shit and go ape. This is why the useful idiots are always purged after authoritarianism takes the reins.

Someone has to do the actual work that keeps society functioning. The rank and file leftists don't have a clue about that aspect, but the leaders know damn well that they can't take out too large a chunk of the real working class or they (the leaders) will be living in ruins and eating whatever bugs they can catch.

That's why they use extreme fear tactics on the few people that publicly stand up to them. If all Americans realized this and went on a one week work strike, the leftist world would collapse like every other communist regime has.

Once the "Delta" variant is shown to be another scare mongering tactic with no teeth, the DNC will have to come up with something new. Like CNN harping on Trump, the DNC is another one trick pony, and Covid is the only trick they know right now. I say "Delta" variant is quotes because very early in the planned pandemic, the Seattle Flu study had identified at least 6 variants present in WA state in 2019 flu samples. The second American Covid patient in 2020 had a "beta" strain compared to the first person's "Alpha" strain. The Seattle Flu study estimated that when the press thought WA state had a dozen or so cases, it was more likely over 2,000 cases because they had an Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and an Epsilon variant in their tests. By early 2020, Scientists at University College London’s Genetics Institute identified two hundred variants of Covid.

Diseases mutate. Who would have thought that could happen? It happens all the time. It would be very strange for diseases not to mutate. They tend to mutate down to less lethal versions, because the more they kill, or the sicker they make people, the less chance the disease has to spread. All we have to fear, is fear itself.
The leftists and globalists are fear mongers, and the thing the DNC fears the most is that Americans will learn the truth.

I was shocked when they actually went through with the 2 weeks thing. Then about 5 weeks in, me and the wife decided we weren't having it and just gonna live how we want.

Non-compliance is the best reaction. They didn't end mask mandates because of the vaccine. They did it because they were losing control and wanted to maintain the illusion of control. Now they're trying to ramp up the fear and put them back in place. Just ignore them.

The worst thing is if everyone sees them being ignored. It proves they have no power.

2
Suckle_My_Teat 2 points ago +2 / -0

We were pretty much the same, was nothing but fear and uncertainty at first, and then... nothing happened. I thought there’d be people dead in the streets the way it was being hyped up. Nope. So we said fuck it and went back to living as normally as we could

2
Firefop 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've refused to wear a mask this entire time. I'm not about to put one on now.

When people would accost me to try to make me wear a mask I have a standard response.

  1. No matter how loud they are or what they say. I respond by waving them closer and say loudly "Speak up I can't hear you".
  2. then if they say anything else, I say even louder "Take off the mask, I can't understand what you're saying"
  3. then if they continue... by that time I'm close enough to start coughing directly on them.

That usually takes care of it... they tend to run away and leave me alone. But no, just refuse to interact with people who are wearing masks. Let them remove themselves from society. It's fine. Normal people shouldn't care if weirdos want to mask.

2
alfredbester 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree. We need to just start having spontaneous 4th of July type parties. Neighborhood picnics and outdoor movie nights. Just publicly have fun. Lots of fun and good times with no politics. We don't need Facebook. We don't need Twitter. We don't need the NFL.

We need to be loudly happy. If I've got ten neighbors hanging out in my front yard listening to Bob Marley or Robert Earl Keene, who's going to do anything about it?

Yes. Week one I posted a long rant on Facebook about the end game of this, who it would hurt, unintended consequences, etc. My entire lefty community called me a racist, a conspiracy theorist, a killer.

That was my last day on Facebook. Most of those people who attacked me are now vaccinated and still wearing masks like absolute bootlicking fools.

3
Dev404 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes. When people eagerly surrendered their freedoms to the government because of sheer ignorance, arrogance, and cowardice, it was a clear signal that the people are weak and prone to manipulation. We live in a feminist society, after all. I would've been more surprised if we pushed back and told the governors and mayors to shove their lockdowns up their asses, but it predictably didn't happen. The government doesn't like losing power and will create the reasons to expand it. They always use the same "it's for your own good" line and it rarely fails.

When this first hit, I figured it would be a couple weeks and we'd be back to normal. Nope. Then I heard Google employees weren't going back until at least summer 2021! That's when I knew they were executing the plan to prevent another 2016 situation with Trump.

I_Used_to_be_me 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah. I called it before we even had our first case in the US. My mom still thinks I’m a wizard (yet listened to my brother on the vax since he’s a doctor even though I also work in the medical field and have been calling everything accurately since day 1). I told her, basically, “it’s gonna be a big deal, but I’m not concerned about the virus itself, I’m concerned about the panic and tyrannical governmental policies that will ensue.” Somehow, all she got out of that, was me saying “Covid will be a big deal here (meaning dangerous)”

Yes, for 2 main reasons

You can't mitigate death no matter how hard you try

People in power will say or do whatever they can to stay in power.

What I didn't think was that the vaccine would be in trials just 6 WEEKS after COVID became a big thing (mid march 2020) in and would be more sinister than the disease itself.
