you think dead people have only been voting since 2020? i guess ignorance truly is bliss!

1
KungPaoMcChicken 1 point ago +1 / -0

Maybe, but I am sure it wasn't on this scale.

I am pretty sure Democrats used their membership lists to force ballots over the line at the last minute. Which would cause dead people to vote.

A lot of old people do nothing but watch cable news all day. They've been brainwashed into thinking that Covid is the fucking Ebola virus.

Seadan 13 points ago +13 / -0

This is a fact and not just about Covid. There is a couple in my neighborhood that is around 70 is my guess. Overweight older dude, grandma looking grandma, and they had Biden/Harris signs all over their yard around the election. They put our little inflatable USA Mickey Mouse lawn junk on the 4th, they fly American flags, and it appears that they love their country. They look like the nicest couple, and every time I walk by their house I feel sad for them. Simple people that have been lied to by endless influential sources and bought into it. Not all leftists are evil, there are powerful forces at play here, and a lot of people are deceived.

The kind of people that have been Democrats their whole lives and still think the party has any semblance to what it was 20 years ago.

In a way, it does. They’ve always been the party of slavery, lawlessness, & tyranny. Just depends in which context.

11
Smurfection 11 points ago +13 / -2

Well, a lot of boomers were raised in an era when civil servants really did try to help the little guy. They grew up thinking union jobs were good jobs rather than a mechanism of offering up sacrifices of new blood to the pension plans of the aged. Mostly government either kept quiet or gave accurate information because they didn't really know how much the government lied. The general populace really did look for the MADE In the USA label. American cars were best cars and safe cars. Most Americans weren't afraid of saying what they really thought. Teachers taught kids real life skills and the basics of education instead of sex, Marxism and LGBTQ was not yet part of social studies because civics and history were still taught. They grew in as close to an idyllic world and hardly a single one of them ever went to bed hungry, suffered a lick of gang violence growing up and were so insolated from violence they thought it was funny. They don't realize that world died at least forty years ago.

Before she dies of old age she should try to learn some basic grammar. I thought that was actually covered in school in the old days. The "What's" shouldn't have been capitalised, there should be spacing between sentences, and a question mark after "constituents" instead of a period.

"Science" just a secular version of religion at this point.

19
user2827 19 points ago +20 / -1

Always has been. Even though the scientific method HAS advanced societies greatly. Now is mainly priests in lab coats who wouldn't know how to setup an experiment.

13
d_bokk 13 points ago +13 / -0

Pretty sure pagan religions like the Mayans were scientists who used scientific predictions to trick the peasants into believing they were oracles, then sacrificed anyone who questioned them.

2
Watermelons 2 points ago +2 / -0

Doing good science and statistics is very difficult. Most of the so called scientists suck at the tit of who pays them. But there are good scientists out there.

5
TheMAGAdontStop 5 points ago +5 / -0

Historical science is. Operational science is not. Climate change is pretending to be operational, but it's really just trying to extrapolate historical science, which gets really bad

1
d_bokk 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think the problem originated with the rejection of determinism and the embrace of randomness in evolution and quantum physics. The know-it-alls couldn't figure out how it worked on a low level so just said "it's random" then altered their theories as new data comes in to fit it then pretend to have been right all along.

You can see an example of this with Fauci, who claimed his opinion changed on masks "as new data came in." The scientists created a tautology where they are never wrong, and that's how religions begin.

"Obviously you don't know anything about science" is moron-speak for "Obviously you don't blindly follow propagandists who constantly engage in fallacious appeals to authority"

Ya, the reason appeals to authority are fallacious in the first place, is because the authority often has ulterior motives, or can be corrupted, or is just plain ignorant. Like when political ideologues infest an institution. Which is precisely why arguments must stand on their own two feet.

If you can't articulate the argument, and find yourself trying to win a debate by appealing to 'the scientists', congratulations, you're a preconditioned automaton.

“Master of Science”

Skeletor?

1
June_Bug 1 point ago +5 / -4

All of those degrees mean that they could solve things in a controlled environment where there is only one correct solution.

Then they get to pick a random problem (or hypothesize a problem) and apply a hypothetical solution.

College degrees are not applicable in the real world since it is an uncontrolled environment, it is just for you do a checklist of items you were taught in a textbook and see if they can solve the real world problem. But the colleges get to charge you $300 for that textbook and $2,500 for the class so that you get a certificate that you met their made up requirements* for knowing about that field.

*to show how un-universal degrees are, you can pull up the requirements to get a degree from multiple universities and see they are all require something different for the same degree. On top of that they usually allow electives and options, that really show not every degree is the same from the same university.

4
TellMeBoutIt 4 points ago +5 / -1

I'm pretty sure there are some professions that you would like them to be college educated... I can name a few:

Your doctor Your dentist Your lawyer, should you ever need one. The engineers that designed your car. The architect who built your home. The people who oversee the water treatment plant.

Not all college is bad, and not all of the college educated are smug fucks. Please don't lump us together- many of us know how whack it is but our dreams hinge on playing their game.

3
okboomer59 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lincoln was a lawyer and he was not college educated

1
TellMeBoutIt 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're joking, right? That's like saying doctors back then didn'tneed college either. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want a self educated lawyer- but you are free to choose your counsel.

1
okboomer59 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lincoln was a better constitutional lawyer and natural lawyer than Harvard-"educated" Barack Obama

2
TellMeBoutIt 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah you may want to look at the kind of cases that were being argued at the time before you say that with confidence 😬

No fan of Barack Obama either, just saying law wasn't applied very well back then either- hence the Civil War and whatnot.

1
June_Bug 1 point ago +4 / -3

All could be learned by apprenticeship, which would be better as it's real world experience, not textbook. Remember there weren't schools for this for a long time. People would have to train under the person for years. Instead we hire people out of schools like they were bequeathed with a abundance of knowledge and skill to apply it and reality is they forgot most of it and are googling your symptoms.

Our top engineer at my company is not college educated. He apprenticed into it at 20. Guy has actual talent. The college educated engineers we tried to hired knew what the books said, but never learned to apply that knowledge in the real world.

Look at the fields without college like plumbers and electricians. Plumbers could go and learn how to calculate the needed diameter of a pipe to compensate for the flow of the water. Why don't they? Because they learn it on the job.

1
TellMeBoutIt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Plumbers follow code made by engineers though, bad example.

Electricians are the same. They're technicians and do not expand the field. Not denigrating their professions, but they're markedly different.

I sincerely doubt that your method proposed would yield positive results any more than college does. Yes, a lot of people who come out of college are very greens- but they should be since the college only teaches first principles, it simply doesn't have the time or resources to teach them everything possible. If employers would actually look at the GPA and the candidate they'd be able to quickly ascertain whether they will pan out.

My first job fresh out of college I was fixing $200k instruments within a month- no training, just the user manuals, the first principles from college courses, and intuition.

1
June_Bug 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Intuition". You should be able to go into a career field right after college and know what the fudge you are doing, not "eh, let's try this".

And those codes were not originally written by engineers, but by tradesman. Good try though. Counties and cities brought in engineers to write them after a while because they thought it made it look better. In reality those codes are bull. Buildings still fall that were built to code and some are still standing that were not.

And good for you for being able to use a $200k machine. Of course that is the price of most engineering machines. I have an apprentice who learned to use a $150k machine in a month and I will share your story with un-college educated engineer who is building one that costs $750k.

1
TellMeBoutIt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lmao I would honestly kill to see a world where you have high school educated engineers building shit 😂 Oh wait, sorry it's called Somalia- no thanks bud.

Codes were made up by engineers, not tradesman and I highly doubt you can show anything to back that up. Tradespeople are technicians, they can install, remove, renovate, etc. but at the end of the day they are operating by a playbook. Sorry if that offends you, but you guys simply aren't experts at mass/heat/energy transfer phenomena, statics/dynamics (electrical and kinematic), or mechatronics. Most engineers aren't experts in all these either, but most engineers don't write building codes so that counterpoint is irrelevant- but the groups that come up with codes are (where relevant, mechatronics is not required really for plumbing code).

Sorry, but you're deluded and unable to read. I said out of college I was running and fixing $200k instruments, not just running them. This is coming from someone that sincerely regrets going to college and wishes they had gone into trade- but you sure do make the rest of you all look like more uppity faggots than college grads 🙄

Of course, me am dumb dumb, but to me, that appears to be third world shithole levels of corruption, Tommy, and you with your big brain Bill Nye the Science Guy degree would be able to see that and not certify a clearly fraudulent election. Why doesn't his degree say what he got a degree in? Googling it it's apparently electrical engineering or mechanical engineering but you think it would say that on the degree. His picture doesn't mean anything without that info. You can get a Masters of Science in Art History the same way you can get a Bachelors of Arts in Physics.
