Funny, life for my kids was basically unchanged

156
Patriot9 156 points ago +156 / -0

right? why would someone do that to their own kid?

Prudentwait 189 points ago +190 / -1

I had to euthanize both of my kids so they couldn't catch covid.

It wasn't an easy choice, but I wasn't going to risk them giving me the virus before they could get vaccinated. I trust the science and everyone has to do their part.

What a good person you are! 20 woke points!

65
Prudentwait 65 points ago +66 / -1

Thank you, fellow human!

If only we reduced the world population to 500,000, we could avoid this all together. We must trust the science and stop owning property, driving cars, and having children. Climate change is real and we have 5 years to stop it. As a decent human being I fully support trusting the experts and committing suicide if the government mandates it. We all have to do our part!

I've been watching Sliders lately, that show from the 90's where they were stuck traveling to alternate dimensions each episode, and this was an episode. There's no way that show could be made today, because almost every one of the early episodes is some variation of a democrat dystopia. The last episode I watched was one in which J. Edgar Hoover became president, destroyed all known copies of the constitution, and turned the United States into a FBI police state.

The population control one was one in which the entire planet had a population of half a billion people, and you could withdraw free money from the government, but every dollar you took put you in a death lottery where the "winners" are euthanized. Everything was basically free, but the government would execute people for committing any crime, no matter how minor it is, as part of their population control scheme.

There was also an episode where Hillary Clinton was president in 1995, and women were in control of the country. Men weren't allowed to run for politics, or hold any job more meaningful than an office assistant.

The best part is that it all takes place in San Francisco, and the physics professor (John-Rhys Davies) is a total conservative and rips liberalism up and down in every episode, because every single episode is about what happens when democrats seize power and have their way.

Social Credit and Virtue Signaling is the #1 thing for liberals, not the welfare of their children.

My very liberal nephew and his ultra liberal wife have a couple kids. My wife and kids may not visit them since we are unvaxxed. I don't know if their two kids (grade 1 & 2) are vaxxed yet but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Back when I knew there would be a run on N95s, I was able to get a box of 20x. A few days later it was impossible to get them. (I got the last of the US made N95s Amazon had).

I wanted them for emergency us and my elderly parents. I offered them to my family, including my nephew. On that call, my nephew told me "masks are useless and they don't work." (I think this is when Fouchi said no need to wear them) I said he he needed any, I can give him a few. I remember thinking better safe than sorry and just being prepared should have been his response. He was adamant I was wrong.

Fast forward to now: I don't wear them, and he wears two... two N95s.

When I asked him about his earlier statements in masks, he denied he ever said it.

I just hope his kids are unvaxxed and he learns why the vaxx is not good for us before he ruins his kid's health.

10
SanFranShitty 10 points ago +10 / -0

Your nephew sounds like an idiot

8
VinceFoster101 8 points ago +8 / -0

Your name (SanFranShitty): my nephew grew up in SF and he used to give money to any homeless person he saw. Then one day he suddenly stopped. Something happened and he won't talk about it. We speculate he was either mugged or assaulted.

3
SanFranShitty 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah lol. Probably. I NEVER give money to the homeless because I’m not down to support someone’s drug habit. Plus, they already get lots of money from the local government. So in essence, I’m already paying for them.

I do sometimes give them food. The homeless are so entitled here sometimes they complain about the food I gave them for free. It’s unbelievable!

2
Tip-O-Matic 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't give to homeless people because I'm not going to pull out my wallet in the middle of a parking lot and make it easy for someone to clock me and steal my shit.

I feel bad for them, I really do, but there are alternatives to begging for money.

3
SanFranShitty 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agree. I always lie and say I don’t have any cash on me and then say “god bless”.

7
VinceFoster101 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yes it does sound that way, but he is very smart. He stopped being smart when he hooked up with his ultra liberal wife. It's sad to see.

As the 'weird uncle' I never let him get away with political shit he spews. We argue for hours... until he gets cornered and his emotions take over. We used to have good arguments, but lately he doesn't argue his positions.

I think he is realizing the folly of his ideology. Especially when his 'weird uncle' is being proved right a lot lately... by a lot

Even after our heated arguments (legit) we always leave on good terms. We'd look forward to our next political debates. It's been that was for a few decades. Things are changing.

And when I say he is smart, he really has been since he was a tot.

My grown kids are well behaved solid citizens (and conservative). The family knows this. One of his kids is a real monster. I'm thinking jail is in the kids future. The other kid seems like he is going to be the prototypical anti-parent and become a nazi when he grows up.

When it comes to politics, he is well informed by the highly biased liberal talking points and has a hard time realizing when he is wrong. When he does, he gets emotional and I back off to allow him to ponder his errors.

Like I said, being proven right has him avoiding our political debates. (He is smart enough to know it and not a typical NPC)

Oh God, his circle of friends is another problem. shudder

SanFranShitty 2 points ago +2 / -0

He’s lucky to have someone like you in your life to set him straight.

Reading a guy who says the heart of evil is people who will do anything to preserve their fragile and self-image because they have no core self and they'll do anything not to confront that fact.

I am not explaining it that well but if you've ever known anyone like this, you know what I am trying to communicate.

In that sense, the MSM and libs generally are united by the absolute need to preserve their collective delusions and never endure being shown that they were wrong. This is the actual psychological trait which unites them, which seives people into the liberal cannister in the first place. Psychological fragility, self-loathing and above all, a terror of ever looking at what and who they really are.

Actually there's another level here because the left positively advertises itself as a cult or moral certainity. The campaign literature to become a lefty essentially is saying to people:

We're a fucking cult. We stick together and will re-engineer reality and history, even history five minutes old, on the spot in order to never concede we were wrong. We are just like you. If you join us, you will be reinforced with millions of your own kind who will protect you from ever having to look at yourself. Individually, we are each weak and reality is objective, but together, we are strong and we can continuously defeat reality without end.

The part about grandparents is beyond a parent's control though.

Some people just chose to self quarantine and not see their grandchildren at all. Imagine being a parent and having to tell your children that grandpa and grandma are scared to death of being in contact with them, even during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It's totally crazy. So many people commenting on social media about "not seeing family for a year!!1!" What? Our parents are older, and all of us, including them, got together for holidays, no masks, no distancing. Just live like normal.

It's insane that they believe this to the point that they won't even see their own family for over a year and make their children live in terror. It's like they just watch TV, nod in agreement, and then go about their day with their eyes closed. How do they not see that they're being lied to? Just sad.

So, my kids went through similar friendship withdraw until I found new friends for them to hang out with. It was painful to tell my kids that their prior group of friends were no longer allowed to play with them... because I insisted on NO MASKS. However, it's much better now. They want to ruin our children and their future. We have to stand up against all of it. Some think that the masks are no big deal, but all of it is bad and should be resisted.

13
Tredge 13 points ago +13 / -0

I call out anyone wearing a mask or perpetuating fear what they really are. Vampires. Willing to trade the lives of children for a slim chance that they might live just a bit longer. At any cost.

My mother stopped that attitude quick when I challenged her love for her granddaughters and showed her the damage she was doing individually to the people she claims to be willing to die for.

13
Sick_of_the_bs 13 points ago +13 / -0

My 2 year old barely knows my mother because my mother was too scared to hug my children & too scared to come in my house during the cold months.

For note, we live a very secluded life. Both my husband and I are fairly anti-social (we see like 2 families regularly), we homeschool, and he works from home. She's more likely to catch 'Rona at the grocery store than from our family.

But hey, let's keep listening to the CDC and Fauci...

10
ColonelTravis 10 points ago +10 / -0

I’m in a heavily blue area, and these kids are screwed. Teenagers are hanging out, unsupervised, with masks on. Parents are outside with their toddlers, completely alone, with masks. The skateboarders are wearing masks. There are going to be some brutal mid-life crises, coming up.

10
AntiDespot 10 points ago +10 / -0

The most frustrating thing for me is valuing an old person's life as much as young. They like to say "more Americans of Covid than in all American wars combined". The flip side of that stat is average age of death from Covid is 80+ and average age of death in war is, what, 20 years old? Big difference.

3
SaddleTramp 3 points ago +5 / -2

You're right, I say we draft the old fucks too

3
AntiDespot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Haha! My point being it's a dumb comparison. One group has their whole life ahead of them, one is near death. One dies a combat death in a war, the other is medical.

Overdose deaths are big deal. But saying "more people die of overdose deaths every year than all US deaths in the Vietnam War" is unfair. The only reason MSM makes this comparison is to promote fear.

1
Frog_Anne 1 point ago +1 / -0

The thing that they really don't want to get out there is that a huge number of those deaths could have been prevented if they hadn't banned HCQ and Ivermectin. There's blood on their hands, but they're pointing fingers at political opponents instead. Sickening.

I really do hope so because while we’re all doing what we can all over the world, and many of us are reaching the violent stages already, we’d be lying if we all weren’t looking back to see what you guys are up to, because since this is global then “America” is probably more than “half the battle” given that your all armed, and you have one of the strongest rights to freedom to fall back on, and you’re pretty well known for supposedly loving freedom (obv you guys get it)
