They use the plandemic as an excuse for sub-par service. It's ridiculous.

Depending on your state they all do this. I suspect it's some sort of stupid state regulation.

All do this been just been to reduce having to interact with the “annoying” public. Fuck you all.

Well i have to say, i see the most annoying people at the vet. All the obese pets i see look just like their owners.

Had to take in my dog. Told the curbside vet tech, during this winter, with blowing cold and snow, if they don't get rid of this soon, I'm switching.

They relented. I bet I wasn't the only one.

I KNOW! They are even worse than regular hospitals. We had to put her dog down during the vid - everybody that was there with their animals were waiting outside, and we had to beg them to have more than one person inside, when they put him down. It’s ridiculousness. Complete and utter ridiculousness.

Had to put one of my cats down last summer. Had to say goodbye to her in the car and let them take her in, without me. They brought me back the empty cage and the bill, asking for my credit card.

She was the first cat I've had to put down that I didn't hold in my arms while they gave that final injection.

I still feel gutted every time I think about it. Thankfully I still have one (formerly feral) kitty who's basically healthy and doesn't have to go in very often. She's terrified of all humans except me.

Meanwhile, if I wanted to adopt another kitty buddy for my remaining cat, I'd have to make an appointment at the humane society and pick out three cats on their website I want to visit when I go in. Pick out a cat from a photo? Um, no. It's about personality. So my current kitty will be an Only Cat until the friggin world comes to its senses.

This craziness has brought out the worst in many people, businesses, and institutions, unfortunately. Maybe God will send you another precious little stray who needs a loving person like you. Love and prayers from another kitty mom.

I’m sorry to hear about your cat. Animals are truly angels in our life. There are other ways to find pets. Sometimes they’re on craigslist, and they are actual rescues that have them. You may have some luck going that route. I wouldn’t choose an animal without being able to meet in person either. 💯

Go out into the country and find a nice based family getting rid of barn kitties. They’re healthier than shelter cats anyway plus you don’t have to deal with toxic liberal mini bureaucrats

What if you just don't have a cell phone? I guess you're fucked then?

off_teh_copium 11 points ago +12 / -1

Power of the purse / wallet. Find another vet which does not support this bullshit. Eventually, just like with wokeism, businesses will learn that these types of behaviors will bankrupt them.

ethan123 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think the vet just doesn't want to have to deal with people

Dr the place is named after comes out to talk about their critter all the time.

utfanx2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Local DMV does this. Kind of prefer it to sitting in a steel chair surrounded by weirdos. Strange the global warming activists have no problem with 100 people idling their cars for hours.

My dog is a German Shepard who has separation issues - not from fear, but from a sense of duty to monitor the safety of her human at all times. She literally had to be dragged into the vet's and I had to take her there because she had a leg injury.

I was ticked, to say the least.

At least you have a nice view while you wait.

Most veterinarians are turning into dentists, basically profit machines that don't give a shit about anything but money. They will dangle the word cancer just to get you to pay for expensive Diagnostics when they know it's just a benign cyst or lipoma. They will push x-rays and blood tests before they give you a routine prescription. Everything is about the almighty dollar. Nothing wrong with making a buck except the things that they're willing to do to earn it. They are getting rich by making us feel panic and guilt when it comes to our pet family members.

Half the time on these drop-off appointments you're paying for a veterinarian visit and getting a technician earning $17 an hour actually caring for your dog or cat. Don't stand for it

mine too, i think it’s because they’re jealous of real doctors

2
obamagavemeaphone 2 points ago +2 / -0

If it were me then I'd stop giving them my business and find a new vet who's not crazy.

2
TabbyKat 2 points ago +2 / -0

Our vet just went back to letting pet parents in last week. Curbside service still optional for those to scared to walk inside.

2
Carnasty 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah. Our family dog Molly had to be put down, we woke up in middle of night and she was pacing and walking into walls. She had some sort of seizure and a brain tumor apparently. But when we got to emergency clinic they didn't even fucking let us go in with her. They came out with a dolly to strap her on. Then they only allowed my wife and daughter to go in, and the dog was my best friend pretty much. Fucking sick of all this covid shit.

2
Julius_Severus 2 points ago +2 / -0

This drove my wife nuts

Her cat is the most friendly cat I've ever met but he gets scared and turns into a demon when she can't go into the vet with it

She was able to switch to a vet that didn't require this nonsense

AmericaIsNo1 2 points ago +2 / -0

So then go to a different one…….?

2
Gargamel 2 points ago +2 / -0

everyone is using covid to make changes they wouldnt have been able to otherwise. no dine in , no waiting rooms , no more " human touch"

DeplorableKatie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same here so my narrative is now THEY have to hold his crazy spazzing eating-the-countertop butt while I sit in my car and read Patriots.

Time for new vet

Doochebag -1 points ago +1 / -2

They’re doing it not cause they are afraid of covid, they just hate dealing with the owners and now they have an excuse to treat you however they like
