I primarily work from home supporting the hospital systems and today the hospital is saying that COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all employees regardless of work location. I REALLY don't feel comfortable taking this vaccine. What can I do?

Not sure how true this is but I've seen a few articles about it now. No unemployment benefits if you're fired over refusal to take the vax.

Simple answer: Don't take it. Make them fire you. Document everything. Talk to a lawyer.

Complex answer: You should never be compelled to undergo a medical procedure against your will. Depending on your station in life, and your goals -- I would say getting the vaccine might be 'worth' it, to keep your job, in theory. But you need to weight your personal risk v. reward tolerances of vaccine v. unemployment. Do you have a family? Do you have mouths to feed? etc.

Ultimately, there are plenty of jobs in many regions of America right now. And hardwork and strong morals and ethics, will land you employment.

Personally, I am not taking the vaccine. No matter where this ultimately leads. I'm maybe no Einstein, but I'm of above average intelligence, and this has always smelled bad to me. Read the data. My children are at virtually NO risk of long term issue with SARS-CoV-2, and never were at risk. I have prohibited by wife and children from the vaccine.

Do NOT get it. I work for a hospital and am in the same situation currently. I am going to submit a religious exemption and if they do not want to take it then it is an easy lawsuit. I am closing on my first home next week and am now possibly facing being unemployed next month. I could give two shits. I am closing on my home and will deal with the rest later. All I know is that I am not getting that death shot.

That's happening with all the big hospital systems, Memorial, Methodist, all of them are going to that, staff have already been released from Methodist for non compliance.

Give your religious, ethical, scientific and medical objections, remind them of Informed Consent, the Nuremburg Code and force them to fire you.

Collect unemployment and sue.

But the hospitals are doing that all over, yes.

Stand firm, force the issue on your terms, not theirs. They'll release you anyhow but nothing you can do about it unless everyone stands together. They cannot replace 'you' with BLM terrorists or antifags, drug addicts or the illegals.

Ask HR how they intend to compensate you and your family if you have an adverse reaction or death from a medical procedure they are forcing you to take. At a bare minimum you must be able to hold them legally liable.
