Seen the percentages that supposedly reputable charities actually pay out to the needy VS what they keep for themselves in lavish admin fees? The pentagon is probably an order of magnitude worse, I bet of that $88B, the vast majority was stolen. And thats why war is such a racket (and why almost every politician muzzle-down in the feed trough is so pro-war), thieves become princes and kings by helping themselves.

slangin_paint 83 points ago +83 / -0

no matter who got that money 100% of it was stolen from the American people.

Also take into consideration the DOD funds the CIA "requisitions" from its cover units in the other branches of the armed forces. It's been leeching off the military funds for decades.

43
TeeBP 43 points ago +43 / -0

Didn't the pentagon lose like 4 trillion a while back?

impera 57 points ago +57 / -0

You mean the report that Donald Rumsfeld gave a day before the 9/11 attacks? That was for 2.3T

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVpSBUgbxBU

A good thing that nobody remembers the day before. And that the audit office was blown to pieces.

22
Inquisitor_Corvus 22 points ago +22 / -0

And funnily enough, that one plane flew into the side of the Pentagon where the investigation into this missing trillions was taking place.

The FBI also lost an enormous amount of fraud records when WTC came down. I happen to believe it's just happenstance, but it does seem the crooks always win.

This is fucking why the world hates the US. We use planes to take down thr twin towers, to hide our own corruption.

Then kill millions of people in Afghanistan and other Middle Eastern countries so we could get access to their oil, and get massive military budgets.

Not to mention, invading Iraq in search of WMDs.

Congress, 3 letter agencies and top officials in our military r so fucking evil.

2
GhostPepperedLabia 2 points ago +2 / -0

20+ trillion

They have basically spent double their alloted budget for the last 30 or so years and everyone just kind of shrugged it off.

12

What, you think the global elite want us all retiring early?

"Work til you die" isn't just their personal enrichment plan, it's their security strategy. Idle hands and all.

That used to be called 'society' and it worked when you supported women, children, elderly and infirm as long as they were your own people.

But now the working man is a cuckold.

True, only legit 'job training' is apprentice programs. Work your way up for lower pay, learn the ropes, get big raises later on.

You could talk me into having Government fill in some of the gaps there. But government needs to get the fuck out of higher education and enslaving our kids with tens of thousands in debt for WORTHLESS trash 'degrees' that provide ZERO job OR life skills.

To be fair they were never going to stand long without our assistance.

60
d_bokk [S] 60 points ago +60 / -0

The Afghan Army didn't stand at all, they fled without firing a shot and handed over weapons, that the US payed for, to the Taliban. And now they are probably on their way to be refugees and economic migrants into the West. Military-aged men who US Generals allowed and encouraged to engage in Bacha Bazi to a neighborhood near you.

The Taliban doesn't have an air force or navy, the Afghan Army should have absolutely been able to hold them off. They didn't want to, all they wanted was a paycheck from the DOD.

28
anotherthing 28 points ago +28 / -0

This right here. This is the reason why Biden botched the withdraw of forces. The refugees are already coming and have been since a few days after the withdraw.

14
brutustyberius 14 points ago +14 / -0

Because they know they can’t trust Biden. They at least knew where they stood with Trump.

5
QLARP 5 points ago +6 / -1

Fuck Afghanistan not our sons

2
anotherthing 2 points ago +2 / -0

Our sons are going to get to deal with the flood of refugees from these places here on our soil. Every time we send soldiers somewhere in the Middle East, Europe and the United States gets a bunch of refugees flooding in from those places.

-1
QLARP -1 points ago +1 / -2

So we should stay forever because when we leave the taliban will come back to power?

1
anotherthing 1 point ago +1 / -0

We shouldn't have gone in the first place, but thinking our kids are safe from that because we pulled our soldiers out is incorrect. They're already bringing in refugees from Afghanistan. They started with 20,000 a couple days after the pull out. Now they're talking about 100,000 more and that's just how it starts. The way Biden "withdrew" only opens the door for flooding muslims in to Europe and the United States. It's the difference between occupying another country and being invaded.

-1
QLARP -1 points ago +1 / -2

Lmaooooo so are you a neocon? Stay in Afghanistan forever to avoid a taliban take over and humanitarian crisis!

13
EggPlanter 13 points ago +13 / -0

And let’s not forget - all the atrocities outside of self defense, like Bacha Bazi were commuted by ANA and “our guys”.

The Taliban are now crushing pedophiles with walls. Really makes you wonder what they actually sent young American Patriots to die for.

8
c_programmer 8 points ago +8 / -0

I've heard soldiers say that they were ordered to allow Bacha Bazi to take place. They would happily have gunned down the pedos but US command decided the warlords who do this were our "allies." The Taliban kills those fuckers for sodomy. I'd welcome them in if it was the best way to protect my sons so I can understand the predicament the average Afghan farmer found himself in.

Maybe our leadership is retarded and thought that the Afghans are on our side? I'm sure Afghans have two eyes and working brain and thought to themselves: "it's either Taliban or drag queen story hour, I'm gonna go with Taliban".

I'm in the same boat. If it's Christian Theocracy or the insane shit we have now, I'm choosing full-on oppressive theocracy.

2

Maybe our leadership is retarded and thought that the Afghans are on our side?

Biden has supported the war since Bush. Maybe they WANT a weak afghan.

Eventually, someone is just going to have to exercise some good old fashioned ethnic cleansing against these goatfuckers.

They are always going to be a problem so long as their sick culture persists.

Eradicate it.

There are tough-as-nails warriors in Afghanistan; but clearly they are all aligned with the Taliban.

88 Billion to keep the opium farmers safe. Change my mind.

3

Need to sell that Afghan opium to compete with Chinese fentanyl

Now that Biden is in office and the Dems are getting a hefty cut of the fentanyl sales, they no longer need that poppy money

10
ravioli_king 10 points ago +10 / -0

Some of my military friends have been to Afghanistan and helped train or served with some. They always said there was a disconnect, because my friends felt like a lot of the soldiers they were training were just bodies to join them, safety in numbers sort of thing. They were never leading, they were just the backup collecting a paycheck.

10
RealTXPatriot 10 points ago +10 / -0

can confirm, they were useless. I'd have had better luck training fuckin retarded monkeys to shit bricks into a jenga tower.

10
Fiddlersdefense 10 points ago +10 / -0

Same goes for Iraqis. However, to make it even worse we even had some of them shoot us in the back, literally. Not NDs. They actively engaged from about 10' behind us. Those that didn't shoot at us just ran away from the fight.

1
BidenLikesMiners 1 point ago +1 / -0

That sounds like a story, pede. Did we destroy the betrayers? Was it orders from one of their admirals? or were they trying to defect? Does that happen a lot lately?

We need to get out of iraq too, tbh.

2
Fiddlersdefense 2 points ago +2 / -0

It was a perfect example of political bs controlling how we operate. It was on a humanitarian mission. Food and water drop to a shithole village. Key personal, to include myself, inside to interact with village leaders but the Iraqi army had to be internal security while our troops pulled exterior security. They wanted the Iraqi Army to get some credit while winning hearts and minds. Totally worthless mission. Well some IAs on the internal security decided they wanted to kill Americans and opened up on os from behind us. They mag dumped and attempted to flee but got dropped. However, end of the day 2 KIA and 2 WIA Americans for nothing because of political handcuffs on how the mission had to be ran.

I agree. We should be out of Iraq. We should have never been there or afghan to begin with. Worthless wars. I am awake to that now. Even though it was a tough pill to swallow.

9
clownworld30330 9 points ago +9 / -0

It's really terrible. It's almost like we trained Taliban members. Fuck, we probably did.

Give the Afghanis a break. I heard from a source familiar with the thinking of goat-fuckers that there were upwards of 8 competent Afghan soldiers in the country during our occupation. Not all at one time of course but during the 20 years we were there; 8! Stop saying they were all bad. (My cat. My cat was the source)

Training, gear, support, whatever...

It's all worthless if you don't believe in what you're fighting for.

Motivation and morale is everything.

The only thing that will make the Northerners fight is fearing their commanders more than the Taliban.

3
elodrian 3 points ago +3 / -0

Proper care and education for our children remains a cornerstone of our entire colonization effort. Children not only shape our future; they determine in many ways our present. Men and women work harder knowing their children are safe and close at hand. And never forget that, with children present, parents will defend their home to the death.
Col. Corazon Santiago

Perhaps the ANA should have been made up exclusively of fathers, with care taken to ensure their children were kept safe and protected whilst they carried out their duty.

5
TheDomisBecomingSub 5 points ago +5 / -0

That kind of stuff works. The Sacred Band of Thebes being a great example. 150 gay couples (supposedly) made up to counter the Spartan 300.

Granted the 300 were all 1/2 a fag and a bunch of them were probably pedos but still...

The Sacred Band turned out to be the superior force iirc.

What that dude Santiago wrote reminds me of something Sun Tzu wrote about "death ground." Basically, if you're outnumbered by superior forces, put your troops on "death ground" so they have to fight bc there's no where to run.

Like with their backs to a river. The anime Berserk had a scene like that and I believe that concept was applied in the Battle of the Cowpens.

Cowpens is a super moto patriot battle btw. Inspire some of the movie The Patriot.

2
BigIronBigIron 2 points ago +2 / -0

We're a joke. The Roman Empire would spend the adjusted equivalent of $100 million on training friendly barbarians and would get a god-tier mercenary force out of it who could buttfuck anyone they threw them at on the battlefield.

We spend $88 billion and we get retards who can't do jumping jacks.

4
Junionthepipeline 4 points ago +4 / -0

The barbarians were probably a lot less inbred

1
WowStrongWinning 1 point ago +1 / -0

Those barbarians then sacked Rome.

1
d_bokk [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

The Romans also got their cities and empire sacked by those very same barbarians, like the Vandals. The germanic tribes would eventually take over the empire, divvy it up and finished the Romans. Rome's outsourcing of their military was one of their biggest mistakes, same mistake the British empire made. And now we're doing the same.

4
magaroll 4 points ago +4 / -0

The Pentagon claimed they spent 88 billion on training the Afghan army.

"You don't actually think they spend $20,000 on a hammer, $30,000 on a toilet seat, do you?"

Yak herders living in mud huts are the least of this country's problems, this was a scam from the start.

Fuck them, let them have that shithole. We never should have been there.

They can take this debacle and spin it as if we should have never left, or even get us to go back and clean it up.
