This is ultimately a good thing for families. Kids need their mothers more than the economy needs a labor surplus.

Hell yes. Feelgood story ladypede. Be there for your kids. Nothing is more important.

My son (who will never get the jab) works at a hospital and they've given them all until Nov. 1st to take the jab. Most of the nurses he works with won't budge either. They're already understaffed and my son says that they'll lose almost 70% of the nurses and 90% of their support staff. It's unreal

37
PritzkersFatAss76 37 points ago +37 / -0

7

Foreign workers are incompetent

6

but they're cheap... you think a hospital cares about your health? just a slight malpractice insurance premium increase they pass on to the patients/insurance(then pt)

19

The media/government is lying about most people being vaxxed. They are so desperate right now.

West Ohio reporting in, my manufacturing plant is about 50/50, barely making deadline as is and have fun training and recuiting new workers at this time. Have not heard of any mandates either, I think they know what will happen if they try.

As a shareholder of the company, I wonder if I can sue for bad business decisons and tanking the company if they do some dumb shit. Class actions?

1
SickIcarus 1 point ago +1 / -0

In my expert opinion (not an expert lol), I would say maybe.

I think it would hinge on how deep into things we are if/when they tried to mandate it. Like, if a bunch of other businesses with mandates are going tits up because of staffing issues due to said mandates, then yes.

If there’s a death wave due to the vaccines and then they mandate anyways, then yes.

But barring something like that? Probably not.

0
Cacciali_Via 0 points ago +1 / -1

Manufacturing workers can break this mandate bullshit. The companies have no real incentive to do it and will give up trying once they see its unpopular.

2
TP4bunghole 2 points ago +2 / -0

Really interesting how so many nurses, the people most directly in contact with "coronavirus" are refusing the vax.

Maybe they know something the media isn't telling everybody else?

56
ChrisTheSoberITGuy 56 points ago +56 / -0

I can confirm this too. The nursing home my wife worked at mandated the vaccine and didn't care she was breastfeeding. So she left. So is at least a third of their staff, when they're already way understaffed.

Hospitals are the same. Nurses are refusing the jab and if they don't leave before the mandate kicks in, they're going to be forced out.

BTW, I went to the state's biggest hospital, supposedly overwhelmed from patients, and yet the garage and halls are totally empty. Covid doesn't require ambulances or anyone to drive you, you can drive yourself in, yet there was nobody there.

Their beds aren't full. They're just so understaffed they can't handle the lowest patient count they've ever had.

In Louisiana, we are organizing teachers and all school staff to prepare for a mass walkout.

Teachers ade much more communally-oriented than nurses, generally, which makes them less willing to go against the grain…but we are making progress.

Thank you for your examples. We are watching, publishing, and talking about them to show that it is possible!

3
lawlady1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

In Arkansas, teachers were protected from mandates and could vote as a unit at their schools if they wanted to wear a mask. But, kids had to wear them. No choice if the school mandated it. AR passed a law banned mask mandates, not that you couldn't wear them just that schools couldn't mandate them. But, Asa got an activist judge to over rule it. Now, our AG is having to appeal it. It's a mess.

They are desperate to keep this going.

Everything happening right now is to get everyone on the 'vaxpass' QR code. It is needed so the central banks can release their Central Bank Digital Currency. China has already released theirs and It will become a digital cage, surveillance state just like in China.

And why would they do this? Because govt and central banks can print currency at will and are not accountable to the people. If central banks cant do this anymore then that all goes away.

Its all explained here...

I know a dumb liberal nurse that took the vax. She told me that they lost 40% of their staff and it is the worst work environment due to the lack of help. All time off requests canceled too. She and others are now wanting to strike due to working conditions but she really just "doesn't get why everyone couldn't take the vaccine". The irony is lost on her but this just shows those of you standing strong are winning this war. Thank you!

Redpill_Hippie 21 points ago +21 / -0

My sister is a nurse in TX and her employer is trying to mandate the "jab". About 1/3 of her office is preparing to quit rather than comply (12 people work there). She has had the coof and her antibody test showed her to be at the high end of the chart for immunity as well as having a religious exemption but they are pushing 100% compliance with a vaccination policy, no exemptions.

I told her to contact Abbott's office, both by phone and email, as well as her representatives. Fighting back is the only way...

17
HaitchElGee 17 points ago +17 / -0

Tell them not to quit, but force the company to fire them. Much easier to sue for unfair dismissal.

-4
bighomiebeenchillin -4 points ago +2 / -6

if they fire u get no unemployment cash tho brah if imma be an unemployed bum, i might as well be stackin free coin while im chillin lmao

4

10
BallsackPaneer 10 points ago +10 / -0

Absolutely contact Abbott's office. That do-nothing asshole needs hear from people that are suffering because of his inaction. I'm about to bump up my calls to once per day. Also contact your Texas representative as they also need to hear how this is impacting people.

Good luck with things. You will make it through. God provides.

One question: what's the shoe thing about?

Symbolic? Or, is that a procedure at that practice? Sorry, I dumb.

12
ebuy123 12 points ago +12 / -0

also interested in the shoe mystery. symbolic of a walkout?

11
lawlady1776 11 points ago +11 / -0

It is a visual representation of the people who "walked out". The hospital can't lie with visual representation of shoes and say "we havent lost many due to mandates". Uh, why are there 100 pair of shoes outside your hospital?

Also, many doctors and nurses don't take their shoes inside their house and walk in to the house and immediately throw their scrubs in the washer.

I know I changed clothes and took off my scrubs at the hospital and put on comfies for the drive home. Shoes had their own bag and sprayed with lysol and put back in bag. Probably extreme but hospitals are gross. This ritual can depend on the floor or unit you work on. Lol

4
ebuy123 4 points ago +4 / -0

excellent rundown. thank you kindly.

2
dryGulch 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’m also curious about leaving the shoes and going home barefoot.

7
mrxforsenate19909902 7 points ago +7 / -0

Think about it. It's symbolic of the people who worked there. Those shoes are the help of people they just lost. Good people who probably show up to work and provide the best they can. We were last years heroes. This year we're expendable. It's all a damn scam.

1
chuckachookah 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, I did think about that. That's why I asked within the context of the question. Was more looking for OP to confirm most of the sentiments you expressed.

God provides.

Yes. Thank you for that simple but powerful statement.

If you do what you know is right and good, He will provide.

The shoe thing is also common in some sports, leaving your shoes on the platform/ring is a ritualistic sign of retirement. They do it in weightlifting, wrestling, and some combat sports, probably others too.

12
RogueWon2020 12 points ago +12 / -0

Employment is generally at will and taking the jab doesn't guarantee job security. If the jab makes you incredibly ill, expect to be let go. No pro vax shop wants a walking reminder of their screwed up mandates effing up morale.

Pharma essentially coopted the police power of the state and federal government to force people to become (perpetual?) customers. It's perfectly rational, albeit evil. Most people have trouble thinking like an amoral, evil POS because that's not how most people conduct themselves in their daily lives. Just because we ourselves wouldn't deal synthetic heroin, marketed as non-addictive, precipitating hundreds of thousands of overdoses, doesn't mean Purdue Pharma wouldn't. It's just profits and loss to them. Over 750K dead Americans owing to Purdue's drug dealing b.s. is just part of an Excel spreadsheet to these folks. And the crazy thing is Purdue Pharma was subject to civil litigation and STILL did that shit. Vaccine manufacturers aren't even subject to the threat of lawsuits. So think how much more risk they're willing to take with our lives than Purdue which was willing to roll the dice despite a VERY active plaintiffs' bar.

I'll get the covid19 vaccine on the 12th. . .of Never.

We need to have alternatives to the AMA and ANA who want to actually support things like patient confidentiality (including shot records), patient consent (including the right to reject any medical procedure or medication), and the scientific method (put forth a theory, prove it, have peers confirm your proof instead of this follow the thought leader nonsense). The entire allopathic medical system has become massively corrupt (and has been for a while) due to big money influence from pharma and med device manufacturers. People need to start having viable alternatives for life saving medical care.

Because this "you can't visit, be treated at, or work in most hospitals unless you take our patented Pfizer COVID shot and purchase our 3M brand N95 mask" is not even good medicine or science, it is corporate terrorism instilling fear to force people to buy products while they hold healthcare access hostage. And it is killing people and is a crime against humanity.

We have a very busy ophthalmology practice with our own ASC staffed with multiple young childbearing women, most of whom are not vaccinated and refuse to get the vaccine (for understandible reasons). Like a lot of industries, we are having staffing issues across the board. One of the big healthcare organizations in the area just mandated the jab, and there was some initial talk in our group about whether we should do the same. I immediately shot it down with my partners. If you think we are having staffing issues now, just wait till we implement this. And with the other providers in the area doing it, I guarantee you are staffing issues will soon be over when people hear we aren't forcing the jab.

On a side note, I recently had a cataract patient contact my nurses and demanding to know whether we were all vaccinated. I told my nurse to tell her to find care elsewhere.

8
OGTD1 8 points ago +8 / -0

15 years in medicine. Most insane time I have ever seen. It’s not even comparable to the initial outbreak when people were working together. Now they have turned on each other. Good call!! That is what they get for refusing to approve traditional vaccines like Novavax!! Tell all the nurses to join The Elite Nurse Practitioner group on Facebook!! Great info primarily for NPs but can be helpful for RNs too.

1
Dragonmoon333 1 point ago +1 / -0

The Novavax still uses a new technology, its a phospholipid nanoparticle

1
AmericaAllDay 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is a protein nanoparticle, and it still works in the same way as a traditional vaccine. The components of the vaccine interact directly with the immune system. I see they do have an adjuvant to increase the concentration of certain cells so that they don't require such a high dose of the vaccine, which is great. And the adjuvant doesn't seem to be experimental.
