You don't need to wear a patch on your arm to have honor.

or wear a badge on your chest.

There are literally thousands of towns and Cities across the country that would welcome and hire you.

I wish more police officers were like this.

Almost all of them in my area are like this exactly.

I know we're all on the same side here but I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would support police after their actions over the last 18 months. I'm not even talking about the crazy shit in FRA and AUS either. i mean US cops' actions.

There are no good cops. Not long term. They're either silent about the bad ones, by choice or itimidation, which makes them complicit or they're forced out altogether and replaced by a bad cop. That's it. As far as "pushing them to the left" they already are. Why do you think the defend Antifa and arrest people who stand up to Antifa? BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL PLAYING FOR THE SAME TEAM. Making excuses is hastening your own demise.

vegaspatriot1776 2 points ago +3 / -1

they are not. the vast majority are order following oath breakers. we have had about 3 good cop videos like this out of 700,000 cops over the past year. not very encouraging. you have a much better chance of beating the kung flu than you do finding a constitutional cop.

You do work for the governor

Is just the nature of government work

Go private … we will need you

2
ProState 2 points ago +3 / -1

Wtf is this comment? You work for the people that pay your salary.

2
Uncle_Remus 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOL. Good one!

2
ELDeplorable-O 2 points ago +3 / -1

Yes, the governor pays their salary

Taxes are confiscatory .. means that money ain’t yours anymore … but of the system that disposes of it

Once you realize of this simple truth … the behavior of politicians in power will make much more sense

0
bf4truth 0 points ago +1 / -1

youre playing semantics

you allow the government to take the $$$ to pay services. You earned it. its your money.

You stop paying, the money dries up.

2
ELDeplorable-O 2 points ago +2 / -0

Try stopping it

Is not semantics

Men with guns will take your money away

Taxes are confiscatory and all the say you have on their use or amount is one vote in a million … on pre-approved limited choices … every 2-4 years

Your taxes are not yours anymore

6
pelt 6 points ago +9 / -3

Well... you do work for the governor. The job of the police is not to protect the citizens, it is to protect the state.

11
LibertySmiberty 11 points ago +11 / -0

One of the forms you have to sign when being hired by the state or local government is an oath to uphold the Constitution. That goes ahead of the machinations of the state.

1
ProState 1 point ago +1 / -0

No way, that’s the national guard.

1
pelt 1 point ago +2 / -1

The national guard is a component of the federal government.

If there is a choice between the governor sending troops somewhere, and the president, the president takes precedence.

If you look above the left breast pocket of any reserve or NG unit, it says "U.S. Army." (or whatever branch it is).

The NG does not exist to serve as some enforcement arm of the governor.

1
ProState 1 point ago +1 / -0

The governor of South Dakota sent National Guard troops to The southern border. So… the governor controls the deployment on their states national guard, and the president probably can override, at which point the local police protect locally and locals go to the armory to help protect the state. The state’s primary protection comes from the military, not the police. If Texas gets attacked by Russia are you really sitting there thinking that the police are the ones paid to protect the state? Them and what army? A 2017 Dodge Challenger? A horse and a few dogs?

Also the police have jurisdictions that don’t encompass the entire state. The police are not paid to protect the state.

1
pelt 1 point ago +1 / -0

OH.. you think I mean literally defending the state against foreign invaders.

No sir... when I say 'protect the state,' I am referring to who's job it is to serve the interests, political goals and aims of the elected officials, judges, beauraucrats etc... against the desires of its citizens.

It's a common turn of phrase.

My point, is the police are there to enforce the will of the politicians, and state officials in general. If YOU, the citizen defies some government mandate, a law, or some ridiculous covid edict ordered on high from the governor, the police will be there to arrest you, not the NG.

I do see one problem with his ideology, he said that the governor was elected by the people so she works for the people… What if the governor was elected by dominion or some other bullshit group? Does that mean that they are not actually accountable to the people?

As a state trooper he kind of does. As a sheriff, he would actually fall under the constitution, as the sheriff is separate from the state governing body, hence the long and storied feud between state troopers (highway cops) and the sheriffs.

TaylorFrancis -6 points ago +5 / -11

oh! now that the mandate affects him he decides to draw the line and disobey orders...??? sorry but I don't buy his recentty remembered oath to protect the constitution. it's too little too late. abolish the police!!

4
Jimmyjetfuel 4 points ago +4 / -0

But the more of the enforcers that see this will get them too, the better.

2
KickingPugilist 2 points ago +2 / -0

Most people need to feel the hear to do something. I see a bunch on here celebrating blue state mandates when we know dems steal elections.

If it spreads, you will all feel the heat.
