I'm one of those people. I got the shot because I'm in a vulnerable category. I've been working on losing weight my entire life, and in 2019 I've made major strides, but I'm still vulnerable. I lost 150 lbs before December of 2019, and I'm still obese, and have diabetes. The information from the CDC before they removed it (I guess because it made fat people feel bad), was if you were morbidly obese and had diabetes, you had a 60% chance of mortality if you were sick enough to go to the hospital. I looked at the information and made a conscious informed decision (before blood clotting information). I was vacc'd before that info came out.
I support the decision to CHOOSE whether or not to have the shot. I think we're over vaccinating people against it, and since it doesn't stop you from being infected with SARS-Cov-2, it means we're creating a breeding pool for the virus.

What this means is if you are in a high risk category (old, multiple comorbidities, etc.) then the vaccine does lower your risk factors in a meaningful way. If you are in a low risk category, then vaccine or no vaccine, the outcomes aren't much different with more unknowns about the vaccine than anything.

In this immature field we don't even have a good place to begin investigating why cellular RNA delivery is sometimes lethal. And we have no idea on the scope of potential problems outside of the various obvious manifestations, such as death.

Because they already did that. Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 trials all took place where they did that. So, this belief that they need to do that fundamentally doesn't understand how the process works.

Looked at the vax stats for my state (WA) recently. The numbers didn't match up with population of certain counties. One of the counties had a round number as vaccinated. I don't know about you, but round numbers are usually a call for an audit in accounting.
I strongly suspect we are a minority. A lot of people took the shot as a "go along to get along" thing. They believed the lie that it would let them get back to living normally again. Or they were threatened at their job and capitulated. Walking away from a stable job and a good reliable income with no back-up plan is never easy. Regret, no, the data says it offers me some protection, and my conditions make Covid much more dangerous to me than to most. But, was it without cost? Also no, I felt like shit after both doses, and I have suffered from recurring dizziness bouts ever since. They started soon after my second dose and have not gone away. I have been to my doctor twice and he is at a loss. I am now taking precautions as it may be pre-vertigo. If it gets worse, then perhaps I will regret it, because I don't know if I will take another dose of Pfizer, right now, the dizziness isn't regular, but when it does come on, it is annoying.
Basically, I am not disabled by it, but I am affected. Even if I suffered no ill effects however, I would not be out in the streets screaming for everyone to get vaccinated. I work for an aerospace/defense government contractor and there are thousands (probably 2-3 thousand?) of people on the campus where I work. I was in a meeting with high up leadership last week and they said less than 50% of the campus is vaccinated (much to their disappointment). They are trying to entice everyone with the "possibility" of letting us go without masks again if they can reach 70% vaccination on campus, but it seems like at this point, everyone that wanted a jab got a jab. It was pretty hilarious to hear the manager running the meeting start borderline blaming the unvaxxed for the entire pandemic, but he stopped short of that and moved on to a different topic.
If they are admitting to "less than 50%", then it is way less, after all if it's really say 48%, why not say so? Best guess 3% three jabs, 12% two jabs, 20% one jab. Total 35%, but could be less. I'm one of those people. I got the shot because I'm in a vulnerable category. I've been working on losing weight my entire life, and in 2019 I've made major strides, but I'm still vulnerable. I lost 150 lbs before December of 2019, and I'm still obese, and have diabetes. The information from the CDC before they removed it (I guess because it made fat people feel bad), was if you were morbidly obese and had diabetes, you had a 60% chance of mortality if you were sick enough to go to the hospital. I looked at the information and made a conscious informed decision (before blood clotting information). I was vacc'd before that info came out.
I support the decision to CHOOSE whether or not to have the shot. I think we're over vaccinating people against it, and since it doesn't stop you from being infected with SARS-Cov-2, it means we're creating a breeding pool for the virus.
My best friend, while I argued with him and despised him voting for Biden, died from Covid about a month ago at home. The hospital turned him and his wife away, said they weren't sick enough. He died, and she ended up being airlifted to another state, put on the ventilator and in a coma. She survived and is recovering.

The most common belief around here is that you never be forced to get the vaccine and if you want to take the vaccine, it's your choice.
Another common belief from the rational people around here is to focus on the actual risk associated with COVID and the vaccine. What this means is if you are in a high risk category (old, multiple comorbidities, etc.) then the vaccine does lower your risk factors in a meaningful way. If you are in a low risk category, then vaccine or no vaccine, the outcomes aren't much different with more unknowns about the vaccine than anything.
I don't see any bullying to not get it, I see people saying stuff like "hold the line" and "we're in this together, don't let them divide us".
And to your last point on vaccines, we don't have data on the adverse events. Only a small fraction is found in VAERS.

There are numerous reports of the spike protein infiltrating many sensitive parts of the body, which are of obvious concern. There is also concern with mRNA-based vaccines in general. This was the position of clinicians in 2018, because of the lack of study, and observations of them triggering severe inflammation (and this was at a time when doses were smaller and there was no consideration of repeated doses or boosters). Animals studies where RNA-related therapeutics are given (usually for "antisense" RNA, instead of vaccines) are full of unexpected animal deaths and health problems, much to the surprise of many, including myself. In this immature field we don't even have a good place to begin investigating why cellular RNA delivery is sometimes lethal. And we have no idea on the scope of potential problems outside of the various obvious manifestations, such as death.
Besides that, your point that there is no data with VAERS is nonsensical. The errors in reporting are considered to err on the side of underreported problems, not overreported. It's also consistent with what the similar Yellow Card system in the UK found for their population receiving the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccine. It may not be perfect, yet same goes for virtually all data on COVID and vaccines.
Most of the objection for vaccines comes from unknowns. Yes, speculation. That does not mean speculation is unreasonable, at least up until sufficient studies have been done. I read about mRNA treatments in Nature (print subscription, generally while pooping) long before wuflu came around, I know how it works, likely better than you do.
There's no reason to expect long-term safety from something that's been untested. It's not just the delivery system and mechanism of action, those are already fairly mature technologies. It's the foreign protein itself.
If you find the odds of the treatment better than the odds of just acquiring natural immunity, that's fine. My dad was like "I don't care if there are effects in 10 or 20 years, I'm already in my mid 70s" and that's a perfectly reasonable calculus when in a risk demographic where the wuflu is fairly dangerous.

I don't bully anyone but there is a pretty valid argument that nobody should get the vaccine because it encourages evolution of mutants that could be broadly dangerous to the whole population. This is especially true given recent data on vaccinated deaths (vaccine ineffectiveness) and on the success of early treatment protocols.
Basically if a vaccine is non sterilizing as this one is, you can make the mandate argument in reverse.

Now if we take this and note that the most extreme willing to actually fight in that normal distribution we would expect to be about 2.5% but, with the deviation shown in the vaccinations it is more likely that this group is closer to 0.5% even if I am generous and give them the next bracket of people to their side you are looking at ~3.2% at most and that is again being generous to them.This is still 8.265 million people.
But again same calculations going the other way your looking at ~19.2% who would be willing to fight. Now I did also give us the second bracket as with such extreme moves like this swaying the less extreme portions of the population population you are looking at 49.593 million leaving the other ~200 million people as uninvolved strongly. Although again with such drastic moves some of those 200 mil could be swayed over.

Looked at the vax stats for my state (WA) recently. The numbers didn't match up with population of certain counties. One of the counties had a round number as vaccinated. I don't know about you, but round numbers are usually a call for an audit in accounting.

I strongly suspect we are a minority. A lot of people took the shot as a "go along to get along" thing. They believed the lie that it would let them get back to living normally again. Or they were threatened at their job and capitulated. Walking away from a stable job and a good reliable income with no back-up plan is never easy. I suspect many people who don't trust the vaccine or who disagree with the mandates are vaccinated.

edit: I just realized I didn’t answer your question. I didn’t regret it until yesterday to be honest. I would never have got it if it was mandated.
Regret, no, the data says it offers me some protection, and my conditions make Covid much more dangerous to me than to most. But, was it without cost? Also no, I felt like shit after both doses, and I have suffered from recurring dizziness bouts ever since. They started soon after my second dose and have not gone away. I have been to my doctor twice and he is at a loss. I am now taking precautions as it may be pre-vertigo. If it gets worse, then perhaps I will regret it, because I don't know if I will take another dose of Pfizer, right now, the dizziness isn't regular, but when it does come on, it is annoying.
Basically, I am not disabled by it, but I am affected. Even if I suffered no ill effects however, I would not be out in the streets screaming for everyone to get vaccinated. I get the Flu Vaccine regularly, but I never tried to force anyone else to get it. My recommendation to everyone is to assess their own health, assess the available data (focus on Israel, data from the US is trash), assess your living situation and make your own decision.
I completely understand why people would rather just do their own thing, I don't believe some of the more sinister things about the vaccine, but our government and elites have done everything possible to make those sinister things seem more plausible. If I am correct in my assumption that Pharma and Government are just incompetent, then the best move would have been-from the start-to say, "Hey, we fast tracked this vaccine, we think it shows promise and may afford you protection. We did not put it through the usual rigors due to trying to get something out to protect vulnerable people. Its available for free. Here is the data, we'll keep updating this as time goes by." They didn't do that. They put on the press from the beginning and did everything that Revelations warned that Mammon would do with the Mark of the Beast. To people skeptical of them, they made it seem like there was DEFINITELY an alterior motive. I work for an aerospace/defense government contractor and there are thousands (probably 2-3 thousand?) of people on the campus where I work. I was in a meeting with high up leadership last week and they said less than 50% of the campus is vaccinated (much to their disappointment). They are trying to entice everyone with the "possibility" of letting us go without masks again if they can reach 70% vaccination on campus, but it seems like at this point, everyone that wanted a jab got a jab. It was pretty hilarious to hear the manager running the meeting start borderline blaming the unvaxxed for the entire pandemic, but he stopped short of that and moved on to a different topic.
If they are admitting to "less than 50%", then it is way less, after all if it's really say 48%, why not say so? Best guess 3% three jabs, 12% two jabs, 20% one jab. Total 35%, but could be less. Assuming three jabs is the short term goal, that means 97% are being bullied into it, and if two jabs, then 70% are being bullied.

I wanted to stay with them until I retire, but now I hate them for trying to force me to choose between my conscience and my livelihood. I really believe the unvaxxed are the minority. It's antidotal evidence but I'm the only one unvaxxed in my circle of friends and family. Most ran out and got it as soon as they could. I was the only one that was skeptical. It's so frustrating not having anyone to talk to about this.
