They have federal authority. At least in Florida. The Fish and Game I dealt with had ARs with them all the time to deal with wildlife trafficking.

Who has Federal Authority? State employees do not operate under federal authority. They operate under the authority of the state. Now If you are on federal land such as a National Forest then sure but not State Parks and land.

What if you're in a state park and removing turtles to sell illegally. You remove them out of state or attempt too. Who handles that federal or state? Or is it both and they become a joint operation to bust the criminals?
