48
basedvirginian 48 points ago +49 / -1

All kidding aside, the man was a genuine treasure. He fought this privately because he didn’t want it to change how people saw him/his comedy.

Rest easy, king. We will miss you 👑💕

7
Block_Helen 7 points ago +7 / -0

Amazing that he did that. And in character. That's a man who loved his fans.

18
OGpsywar 18 points ago +18 / -0

'Engineers revealed that Norm's cancer became frayed after being struck from below by a missile.'

(it's a type of ongoing comedy how establishment sources Still exert the effort to maintain that Norm was fired from SNL over OJ Simpson trial comments, when - for people who were there - it was clearly, and immediately, over his refusal to stop ridiculing the official narrative about TWA flight 800. RIP Based Comedian.)

5
Quixotic 5 points ago +5 / -0

That’s not what Norm himself said. He chalks it up to his linking of homosexuality and pedophilia in his constant critic of Michael Jackson.

What are you even talking about?

8
RandoMando2A 8 points ago +8 / -0

My favorite memory of Norm was the time I saw him in person when he flew in on a private jet and came through our terminal. We knew he was coming so we set up a remote control fart machine in the path he would have to walk. Bonus he came through with two hot babes, one under each arm. We hit the button right as he passed, no pun intended. We called him out to help shift the blame to him. All he did was stop turn around and flash that amazing smile of his. I think I even heard the ding from the sparkle in it. Awesome and hella funny dude he was.

6
Bazzellle 6 points ago +6 / -0

He did have a sparkly smile. Sweet and goofy man.

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's awesome. Good work pede. I love it.

3
OGpsywar 3 points ago +4 / -1

I literally riffed it in my first sentence.

He ragged on Jackson all the time. For years. Jackson was a perpetuating victim, not a predator insider with any political pull to get people fired.

Jackson himself kicked the bucket shortly after signaling that he was going to 'out' the industry for its systemic abuse.

Norm did flight800 (apparently witnessed by half the Northern seaboard) about three times, got warned, did it again Anyway after the FAA'S crocked-up report (see the above joke about frayed wires and missiles) said 'fuck' on live tv, and then ceased to be a cast member.

1
Quixotic 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, he does not attribute it to his removal from SNL.

14
ColonelKlink 14 points ago +14 / -0

This is so fucking depressing. RIP Norm.

I fucking hate cancer. Every weird pain, ache or bump makes me think it's returning.

No kidding. Usually I could care less when a celebrity passes but Norm was such a funny and great guy. Im at a loss for words. This actually made me feel something and I am truly upset over this. RIP Norm Mcdonald, you gave me some of the greatest laughs and hysterical fits Ive ever had in my life. The world lost a real legend today. Funny guys like him really did make the world a better place and we are worse off without him

33
BasicKekinomics 33 points ago +33 / -0

He even referenced Bill Cosby.

Post it! That's a great one.

I remember these days. It still felt like America in America.

26
JimmyNelson 26 points ago +27 / -1

Pre-9/11, the United States was a completely different place than it is today. Like someone flipped a switch.

10
HikingPatriot 10 points ago +10 / -0

I only got to fly unmolested by TSA one time and that was my first time ever flying. It was so nice to not have to go through all the BS we do now. I hate flying now because of the hassle just trying to get to the plane.

5
MauserShooter 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes, and they flipped a few more with the covid shit.

I am so glad I had my formative years in the 90s. People just don’t know how free we really were. And that was with the war the clintons waged on the right wing gun owners.

The difference is the lack of technology to enforce their will.

1
Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

The difference is the lack of technology to enforce their will.

Ain't that the truth. We have somewhat leveraged that technology against them, but not enough.

2
MauserShooter 2 points ago +2 / -0

We are not even close to leveraging those tools against them. Our oppressors are in league with the creators of the tech we use against them.

Just assume everything we use is back door reported and willingly handed over.

1
Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Like I said, not enough. The leverage we've been able to manage so far is getting people informed. They can suppress a lot but they can't suppress everything.

1
elmerecido 1 point ago +1 / -0

2
Wrapped 2 points ago +2 / -0

Norm was the best. Loved his long windups to stories, never knew where he was going and he made me laugh all the time. Even when his bits bombed, he still seemed to be laughing inside at something. He will be missed.

50
ShylockRaider 50 points ago +50 / -0

So sad. Legend.

42
BasicKekinomics 42 points ago +42 / -0

Here he is talking about comedy and Trump. He tells a story about seeing Trump in a hallway at a filming of snl and how naturally hilarious Trump was, and says that the "comedians" that mock Trump don't get that Trump is constantly making fun of himself.

https://youtu.be/olkgPzlh5A8?t=46

edit: lol.. i forgot that he pulled that reoccurring joke in that interview with the phone ringing.. same one he did on the view years ago when he was calling bill clinton a murderer.

39
18
MAGAvibesOnly 18 points ago +18 / -0

I saw him on this tour. Him ripping apart dummies sitting in front of him with their masks on brought me so much joy.

actually he was the joke.

6
Hung_Chad 6 points ago +6 / -0

He's all about the masks and mandates. In a few years he'll be pushing the woke Hollywood liberal agenda for the CCP and lose his 'Joe Everyman' appeal just like Kimmel.

9

Yeah I broke down when Rush died. His wife coming on the radio was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time

3
Block_Helen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes. Still can't believe the great RUSH is gone.

3
HikingPatriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

I felt it when Robin Williams died. It was so shocking and just plain sad.

2
Slop 2 points ago +2 / -0

Robin Williams, Gene Wilder, Ernest Borgnine, Norm Macdonald. All celebrities that really hit me hard when they passed.

Norm on gay pride - the pay off is huge!

One of the greats alongside Carlin

11
mateus 11 points ago +11 / -0

If I remember correctly, he was canned for too many Clinton jokes on his Weekend Update spot. Always liked him. R.I.P.

Listen to the last joke lol 😳:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7K-kaelQEs

10
BasicKekinomics 10 points ago +10 / -0

It was the OJ jokes.

Head of NBC told him to stop. He wouldn't.

1
mateus 1 point ago +1 / -0

That doesn't surprise me. Rotten things. Cosby was untouchable, I guess. He's in talks, now, to do a new TV show, and has been even before his release on a technicality.

4
HikingPatriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

Who is this OJ Cosby you speak of?

10
exwhyze 10 points ago +10 / -0

I had to fight back tears when i heard on the radio today. Same with rush... Fucking brutal. RIP the i-ron horse of comedy.

4

Can't decide if Rush or Norm was funnier.

I'm literally watching a video of Theo Von and Jim Breuer doing Norm impressions and stories and then I see this.

What the fuck.

4
BasicKekinomics 4 points ago +4 / -0

Is it the Breuer story about Norm getting banned from some state because of the jokes he did in front of a bunch of families and their kids?

3
EricCiaramellaSuxDix 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes! Great shit. He's got a few good stories about him.

8

5

Such sad news! He was a comedy legend. His voice is iconic. I'll always remember him when SNL was funny, the voice of Death before Adam Corolla took over, and Rusty Heck from the Middle and so so much more. RIP

2
AZ-is-the-key 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was the hugest SNL fan about this time. There were some rough years in the early 80s but damn the late 80s and most of the 90s were so good. I don't know exactly when it sucked more often than not, some point between 2002-2006 when most media in the country went from mostly entertainment ratings driven to just anti-american democrat propaganda 24/7

2
imnotdeadyet 2 points ago +2 / -0
