Norm MacDonald on battles with cancer: “I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.”
He wasn't anti Trump. Maybe he said things against him but he was quite far from a never Trumper. If you know anything about him you'd know he this opposite of woke and a brilliant man who no doubt understood what Trump was BUT considering he's so smart, didn't want to lose fans/money by being pro Trump.
He's the only public figure to hammer the Clinton's harder than trump, and live to tell about it (for a while). Now I see his weight gain and Hoodie sweatshirts might have been Part of his battle. It's heartening to know he was saved and claimed Jesus towards the end of his life.
He said it himself several times, but most specifically in a talk with Roseanne. He said something right along the lines of, "I believe in the Lord." But that wasn't limited to the end of his life. He talked about heaven, God, Jesus, the Bible, and the validity of religious belief for years in different settings.
he made fun of trump like he made fun of everybody, but he never went too hard on him. he also made fun of letterman and letterman was literally his idol.
I have no problem with good natured ribbing. That is not what has been going on ever since Trump came down the escalator. These people are willing to destroy America to stop Trump. They’re willing to murder Americans and sell out the nation to the CCP.
The show is/was liberal, but Norm was based. He got fired because he pissed off his liberal boss about O.J. Norm epitomized the "fuck you" and "fuck off" attitude in us all.
It's too bad that he had to criticize Trump and become one of our enemies. I really enjoyed his comedy on SNL until I realized how liberal the show is.
You underestimate how much comedians are struggling mentally. Comedy is usually just a cope method. Its not me being an armchair psychologist, its documented and many top comedians have admitted it..
spez: anyone who is downvoting is coping that im right, cope more.
That joke is from an early 2011 special, ten years ago. He was diagnosed nine years ago. I hate to burst your bubble, but he was being funny. Sorry, buddy
I watched my mother take her last breath two weeks ago. It was unexpected that she would die. She went peacefully and on her own terms. My mom had a couple of days to accept her fate. If Norm knew for years he had cancer, he accepted it as well.
I just hope he passed with dignity and in no pain, like my momma.
I’m terribly sorry for your loss. Time does ease that pain, but I still desperately miss my mom, and it’s been 22 years. I’m glad that you could be beside her until the end. Your love made her passage easier.
He's a comedian. He was being funny, even in his darkest hour. If you watched a lot of his stuff, this is completely in line with him. He clearly died the same man he always was.
It’s pure gold. Probably my favorite clip of him. He showed up in sweats to what was supposed to be YouTubes first fancy red carpet event, and shit all over the millennial hosts who were trying to take the event seriously.
Yeah we owe whoever runs that account bigly. The amount of work that must go in to archiving that many clips and compiling them together must be insane. I can’t thank them enough. They put out a video today where he foreshadowed that he would never tell anyone if he was dying of cancer.
I don’t even have to ask to know the reason he kept this a secret. He knew how annoying it would be to have people asking him about his damn cancer all the time.
Yeah I’ve never heard anything bad about Alan Rickman, people that worked with him always had nice things to say about him. And he didn’t really live the celebrity lifestyle. Daniel Radcliffe had talked about how Alan was always very kind to him, helped him a ton as an actor, and then would attend all of his plays when Daniel got into theater for a while.
I was such a big fan of Alan Rickman. Great acting, and like you said, very quiet (public) social life. Big respect to that, and that he seemed to have stayed with a long-term partner all his life. No silly affairs or gossip news. Just a chill man passionate about his art, somehow avoiding Hollywood degeneracy.
Yes and no. I know what you're saying. Suicide is selfish as fuck.
But I've also been...well, at the contemplation stage of it I guess you could say. Never seriously considered it, but in my darkest times it crossed my mind.
Those considering suicide are in a place you can't imagine. It's illogical and selfish, but that's not where their heads are
Suicide can be selfish if you're a physically healthy 40 year old and you leave behind a wife and kids that all love and depend on you. I personally know a guy who did that out of nowhere and it left his family completely shattered after.
But on the other side, if you're aging, your health is deteriorating, and you know your early onset dementia will leave you a shell of a human that will burden your family for years... what good options do you really have? Dying with dignity sounds like the lesser of two evils, so I completely understand where Robin Williams came from.
But some people with mental illness consider themselves to be just as much of a burden on others simply by existing, when the reality is the complete opposite and they leave an empty hole in their loved ones' lives by leaving. That's the illogical side of it.
Death to Smoochy, him and edward norton had to have been drunk and/or high as a kite on cocaine making that film, its so great. And Norm RIP, glad I got to see him live years ago.
Robin Williams always struck me as someone who was secretly (sometimes openly) corrupting our morals and rewatching old shows confirms. Norm could be vulgar, but it was always to wake us up and secretly (sometimes openly) fight for morality.
i don't think norm would have snuck explicit sexual jokes / references into anything meant for kids. for Williams that was a trademark.
as far as i know norm didn't do any kind of kids stuff probably because he knew his suitable audience are adults. for Williams sneaking sex and degeneracy into kids shows seemed to be something he found pleasurable
Drinking iodine is about as safe as drinking bleach. Chloride kills all kinds of things: viruses, bacteria, aromatic hydrocarbon stains....it isn't safe nor forgotten. Like phosphene. Tons of chloride in that
His joke about fucking a racist white woman when a black dude walks in KILLS ME. This man was a comedic genius and didn’t give a single fuck about anyone’s feelings
Norm MacDonald on battles with cancer: “I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.”
I dont know if that was a cope for him or if he really accepted his fate.
We lost a true legend today. I hope he has influenced us all to bring out our inner smartass.
Norm MacDonald gets to the gates of heaven and encounters St. Peter...
St. Peter: "Norman, please tell me what was your biggest regret when you were amongst the mortal coil?"
Norm: "Pete? Can I call you Pete?"
St. Peter: "Norman, was it the gambling, drinking, smoking, saucy jokes, crass language?"
Norm: "Well, there is one thing I do regret, St. Peter."
St. Peter: "What was that Norman?"
Norm: "Fuck! I had a thousand dollars on Artie Lange in the ghoul pool."

Not that it makes a difference in my worldview, but where did you hear this?
He said it himself several times, but most specifically in a talk with Roseanne. He said something right along the lines of, "I believe in the Lord." But that wasn't limited to the end of his life. He talked about heaven, God, Jesus, the Bible, and the validity of religious belief for years in different settings.
He was pretty open about it on his show not norm, it's a tremendous comfort.
he made fun of trump like he made fun of everybody, but he never went too hard on him. he also made fun of letterman and letterman was literally his idol.
I think Letterman was his aswell. The later days certainly.
I have no problem with good natured ribbing. That is not what has been going on ever since Trump came down the escalator. These people are willing to destroy America to stop Trump. They’re willing to murder Americans and sell out the nation to the CCP.
what are you talking about? norm never did that.
ohhh noe, he's destroying america, he told a story about meeting trump https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYrPd9LAPp4
Wasnt he the tweet that said ‘violent’ people in the Capitol don’t follow the path given them by a frilly rope? Based
Yes
The show is/was liberal, but Norm was based. He got fired because he pissed off his liberal boss about O.J. Norm epitomized the "fuck you" and "fuck off" attitude in us all.
what are you talking about?
when did he become one of our enemies?
He respected Trump.
It’s a troll, thedonaldsomething is. And would appear to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now is not the time to waste on ugly
I like how he says “our enemies”. Fuck off dude norm was one of the greats
Pretty sure it was just a joke. Dude was a comedian after all, and that sort of deadpan humor would be right in his wheelhouse.
His assumption that people do that to cope is his way of coping.
My condolences.
Sorry for the loss of your mother...
Sorry for your loss. I’m sure she was a great mom.
Considering the joke is older than his cancer diagnosis, I doubt it.
I'd like to think the joke was brought up to him later and he made himself laugh.
He's a comedian. He was being funny, even in his darkest hour. If you watched a lot of his stuff, this is completely in line with him. He clearly died the same man he always was.
Lmao
He battled the cancer that is the Clintons for three decades
What a legend
You. I like you
Another genius gone.
King of Shitposters
The OG shitposter.
"In a world full of Jerry Seinfelds, be a Norm Macdonald"
He’s had it with your communist gobbledygook, that’s what.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgJbj2W_0cM
The fact that this guy went out on his patio and filmed the clouds above his house to make this video is hilarious. Are you the one who made it?
Norm lived in an apartment
Not his video
not available
It started to go a little bit viral so I deleted it. I just made it for this website, I don’t want to support YouTube
Maybe Rumble or Streamable (no account needed)?
Norm coined the term "Fake News".
Yes, he did.
NORM IS THE GOAT
Bill Hicks, Sam Kinisen(sp?) And God are all sitting at a table high giving right now. "He's coming home"
With George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Robin Williams.
Patrice Oneal joins the table
Patrice definitely doesn’t get enough love
Ralphie May also joins the table
Sam did NOT go to heaven.
I want to read this story...
Interesting, thank you.
Sam was a preacher. God probably lets him book shows in heaven.
Explain why not. Out of all of those comics why does Sam get left out?
I hope his tombstone looks like a giant cock. Damn those were funny skits. I’ll miss you, Norm!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQs0La0x-YQ
Vast fields of bio-engineered, hydroponically-grown cock.
Yeah, you know, like a back-up supply just in case our Earthbound supply of cock might run out one day.
Look at my head, man, it looks like a cock.
That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

When the greats list the funniest comedians, they always list Norm McDonald.
"Germans love David Hasselhoff" and "Murder is now legal in the state of California"
Two of his jokes that were seared, seared into my memory.
I loved his gay pride joke.
I was just watching him last night. I had no idea he was sick.
You have got to watch him on Conan when the girl from Melrose Place was on.
It’s pure gold. Probably my favorite clip of him. He showed up in sweats to what was supposed to be YouTubes first fancy red carpet event, and shit all over the millennial hosts who were trying to take the event seriously.
https://youtu.be/A848xpsDJbw
He did this in 2013, at the peak of Obama era hipsters and being permanently offended about everything.
Have you seen this? So funny! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEghu90QJH4
Moooo!
Maybe only 12x
:)
Have you seen his Burt Reynolds/Jeopardy skits? Still my favorites:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEghu90QJH4
He out-Burt Reynoldsed Burt Reynolds.
Turd Fergeson.
😂
His insulting exchanges with "Sean Connery" were epic.
Sureitis.
"I've got the board spelled B-O-R-E-D."
Never, ever joust with someone that quick-witted.
Ladies and gentlemen, murder is now legal in the state of California was another of my favorite lines.
Courtney Thorne-Smith. I had a crush on her. Apparently so did Norm.
"Bill Clinton killed a guy. Yeah, don't you know that?"
Professor of Logic. Wewwww
I loved all the O.J. Simpson jokes. and also the way Norm would say "Dirty Crack Whore."
Lol. Assistant crack whore...
and the ultimate worst job: Crack whore trainee
Most underrated comedian of all time
He seemed to finally be getting the recognition he deserved later in his life.
The I’m Not Norm YouTube channel is pure gold.
Yeah we owe whoever runs that account bigly. The amount of work that must go in to archiving that many clips and compiling them together must be insane. I can’t thank them enough. They put out a video today where he foreshadowed that he would never tell anyone if he was dying of cancer.
Ouch. A pede to the end.
God speed
Now he's God's pede.
The rapture is happening slowly
lol norm and roseanne talking about the rapture and other things just as the pandemic kicked off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KO_gvrf5ZA
I don’t even have to ask to know the reason he kept this a secret. He knew how annoying it would be to have people asking him about his damn cancer all the time.
I have a lot of respect for famous people who don't publicize their cancer battles and milk the attention/sympathy.
Alan Rickman was like that. Nobody but his family and closest friends knew he had cancer and even some of them didn’t know til toward the end.
Rickman seemed to be a good dude. A class act who never made anything about himself, but acted to the goddamn hilt with anything put in front of him.
Many people point to Snape. I thought the writing was shit.
But Hans Gruber? So good. So subtle, but then ruthless, and completely measured in his delivery

That is exactly who I thought of. David Bowie and Kelly Preston as well.
Raul Julia too.
Jimmy Kimmel and using his son for ratings
Forgot about that ass clown who wore freaking black face but it is okay since he is a lib!
Jay Thomas comes to mind.
And Neil Peart.
The Professor. I’ve been a mega fan since 1979. I listen to their music literally every day. He led a full yet tragic life.
Losing Neil hurt a lot. What an amazing drummer.
I know you did ask, but he pretty much spells it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAp-igcRhMQ&ab_channel=EverythingComedy
He had a good heart. It never once attacked and killed him. So long, Norm. You will be missed.
The first time I watched that bit I couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard.
RIP Norm. You will be missed.
Cut some rails and thots with Chris & Phil for us…
Hillary finally got to him.
Well her and the democrats are a cancer
Cause of death?
You guessed it: Frank Stallone.
Norm would love that joke.
Well played.
This one hits like Robin Williams.
not for me. This guy fought to the end. Robin Williams was a bitch who sent his own soul to hell.
Well to be fair he had some dementia too. He was misdiagnosed. His mind wasnt whole.
https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-norm-macdonald-robin-williams-20140812-htmlstory.html
Here is a nice story of them both.
That really was a nice story. Thanks for posting that.
Reading your thanks while also reading your user name
The heavy drug use in his early career probably didn't do him any favors either.
That's truly unfair to Robin Williams, who was battling Dementia and felt like he was in hell here on earth.
well, now he's in hell hell. what's more unfair?
Yes and no. I know what you're saying. Suicide is selfish as fuck.
But I've also been...well, at the contemplation stage of it I guess you could say. Never seriously considered it, but in my darkest times it crossed my mind.

At least take out some fucking commies along the way.
Harsh but true.
Death to Smoochy, him and edward norton had to have been drunk and/or high as a kite on cocaine making that film, its so great. And Norm RIP, glad I got to see him live years ago.
"I'm going on safari motherfucker, SAFAAAARI!"
Robin Williams always struck me as someone who was secretly (sometimes openly) corrupting our morals and rewatching old shows confirms. Norm could be vulgar, but it was always to wake us up and secretly (sometimes openly) fight for morality.
I get the Norm piece, but not following you with the Robin part.
i don't think norm would have snuck explicit sexual jokes / references into anything meant for kids. for Williams that was a trademark.
as far as i know norm didn't do any kind of kids stuff probably because he knew his suitable audience are adults. for Williams sneaking sex and degeneracy into kids shows seemed to be something he found pleasurable
He did voice Norm the Genie on an episode of Fairly Odd Parents, but I think that’s about as far as it goes
It really does. This is a damned gut punch.

He was one of the OGs of the red pill.
Chairman of the b-o-r-e-d. I still think of that joke from Conan, probably the funniest moment I've ever seen in my life.
Yes! The one where he comes out and roasts Conan as he's losing his show with a gift basket... gold.
Norm is my all time favorite comedian. Very sad news.
Despite his name, Norm was not a normie. He will be missed
I normally dont care when celebs die.... But I liked Norm.
The Infowars iodine offerings are solid, at least if you can't or won't eat kelp daily.
Drinking iodine is about as safe as drinking bleach. Chloride kills all kinds of things: viruses, bacteria, aromatic hydrocarbon stains....it isn't safe nor forgotten. Like phosphene. Tons of chloride in that
Isn’t there iodine in salt?
Chemist grinds his teeth
Yes. It increases intelligence in developing childrenvs brains. It's the reason libsshits all prefer sea salt
Yes but a lot of salt companies have it removed, I found one one called Seasonello though that's good.
Happened to catch that a few minutes ago and have been watching old clips since..
Was a big fan of Norm for not just his comedy but for his integrity as well.
Been alternating between tears of laughter and sadness since I found out.
I'm a big sad dumb guy right now... that's all.
edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiooeRAdcjU
I feel you, I wasn't expecting this, I've been waiting patiently for more Norm content, damn, RIP Normie.
This fucking sucks. Rest in peace, Norm.
Countdown to legacy media relating this to extra-long-COVID and unvaccinated people...
He was the real deal.
Well I'm sad, he will be missed.
Arkancide?
Don't be silly, Hillary's never even been to Arkansas!
Fuck, I had no idea. RIP to one of the funniest people ever and a forever truthteller!
Seriously sad news, as he's one of the only comedians who never sold out, and never gave a fuck what anyone thought.
He was a man among children, in his chosen profession.
Seriously sad
Gonna miss his humor.
His joke about fucking a racist white woman when a black dude walks in KILLS ME. This man was a comedic genius and didn’t give a single fuck about anyone’s feelings
Well...shit.
RIP. One of the best
He was genius in comedy and knowing his death sentence explains a lot or at least could explain alot.
man… what a bummer this is. i know we all have our time, but i wish we had longer with Norm. i am going to miss him.
F
Fearless legend
Damn, this dude was one of the best and so criminally underrated
Damn. Fucking Shame
I'm very saddened by this lose. I just spent hours yesterday watching Norm stand-up for no particular reason except the algo fed it to me.
I didn't even know he had cancer.
Literally a godsend! Memori Eternal!!
He was one of the greats.
One of greatest ever
Noooooooo!
This is horrible news. May he no longer be in pain. Im gonna go watch some Norm comps :(
Are you fucking kidding me. F. Norm, I love you.
My sympathy to his family and friends. His comedy will be missed.
God needed someone to cheer him up. RIP Norm and let us carry on the good fight. Thank You for your awesome Legacy Dear Brother.
The last great Weekend Update anchorman was Cheddar Cheese.
Damn. I thought all of the "RIP Norm" posts were just jokes.
It would be a Norm thing to do.
