This started as a comment in a thread about a red/blue split and someone asked about blue state conservatives moving to the red. I moved to Texas, I was anxious to leave this shithole 3 years ago. I'm visiting my relatives in the bay area right now and this place is already unrecognizable, it's only been 3 years and it's devolved so fast. I know that the CA recall involved a lot of cheating, but it also involved a lot of blue fucktards voting to save Newsom's sorry ass, and I know this because unfortunately I know some of them. I don't want to be around any of these people or have anything to do with them anymore, I'm done trying to change their minds.

The book People's Republic is going to become reality. Schlichter originally wrote it with the assumption that Hillary would win and that the split would start sooner. Trump just gave us a 4 year extension on the inevitable. No one here is sane, everyone is entitled, and everyone is in denial about their state crumbling around them. It's a complete dust bowl here - people's lawns are dead, I'm having to wipe down my windshield every morning to get the dust off. The state is rapidly burning to the ground both literally and metaphorically.

But no one here seems to be aware of how bad it's gotten. They all think that masks are just fine and are looking forward to getting their next jab. They wear their masks outside, even while just pumping gas, which is right at $5 a gallon for shit tier 91 that makes my car ping like a Windows box with malware on it. The roads are in deplorable condition, PG&E runs ads on the TV about preparing for your next power outage, as though that's an acceptable way to run a utility. They are all beaten down by the taxes, demoralized, and the entire state is either complicit or has some form of Stockholm Syndrome.

You can tell that the tax base and companies leaving California are having an impact. The bottom is about to fall out from underneath this place and it's simply coasting on the fumes of its former glory. The people who are doing OK here are either obscenely overpaid tech people, retirees, or illegal immigrants. The illegals are well prepared for all this, they live and operate on a shoestring budget because that's what they're used to. They don't pay taxes and work for cash, which allows them to get by. They grew up in the third world, and are well prepared for the third world state they now live in.

I leave today and won't be back. Goodbye, California, for I no longer know thee.

Exactly this. Recall was an opportunity to repent but they wasted it. They will have to truly suffer now before they can see the light. They only place where I’ve seen leftists repent is Argentina. Probably the most liberal/cucked country on earth. They used to be a world power and now have 50% of people under poverty. They just made a 180 degree turn and sent their lefty overlords spinning into space for the first time in 75 years. So, it happens, but it takes a long time. Leftist are really cucks who love to lick their master’s boot. Faggots.

Wintergreen 10 points ago +10 / -0

The sad truth is that the majority of people only gain wisdom through adversity. For nearly a century Californians have been the most comfortable people in the history of the world. So they will impose suffering on themselves until they wise up.

2
IntergalacticWalrus 2 points ago +2 / -0

I would like to read more about them being a world power.

Tejanopede 24 points ago +24 / -0

They’ll just deny reality and flee for Texas too. Fucking infuriating.

5
Cyer6 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nope. Can't get abortions here and too many guns. They'll be looking at other states to flock to.

2
dasvolk [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

That abortion law was really a master stroke in the art of "fuck off, blues." They're super mad about it but also the only ones that know or care about it.

1
side_o_beef 1 point ago +1 / -0

The whole thing needs to come crashing down with no place left to run and then it can be fixed. For now, we wait and help the leftists along so we can get this over with.

Great post, 'made my car ping like a windows box with malware' made me lol. I too left CA but for WA, then fled there for TX too. Seattle has been working hard to catch up and are about to elect an AG that is an open antifa and has vowed to end pretty much all prosecutions and abolish police.

Porcupine 44 points ago +44 / -0

Word for word my thoughts exactly.

We left CA 2 years ago for Texas. We recently we back in August for family business. We saw more homeless, litter, and graffiti within an hour of landing than we have in our 2 years in Texas.

That place smells like fire and hepatitis.

I can’t believe people try to normalize it. But I think when you live in it day to day, you don’t have the perspective to see how bad it really is.

My husband profusely thanked me for continuously pushing to get us out of CA and into TX. Best move of our lives and thankful every day.

California is no longer the state I grew up in. It’s a third world country.

8
Kek_The_World 8 points ago +8 / -0

Mmm… love the fragrance of fire and hepatitis first thing in the morning.

Cyer6 5 points ago +5 / -0

We too bounced out of that state a few years ago and we were in the Central Valley where things were still somewhat sane unless you live in Stockton, Modesto, Fresno or Bakersfield. When I got to Texas, I put up my American flag and changed out those CA license plates ASAP! I also started doing my part to keep TX red by working the polls. We still have based family still living back there but we have no intention of ever returning unless a family emergency comes up.

3
Porcupine 3 points ago +3 / -0

We were in the Central Valley, too. And like you, we couldn’t get our Texas plates on fast enough!

None of these illegals pay taxes. If I didn’t have to pay taxes I would live pretty decently. So when you watch them driving around in nice cars making less than you, that’s the answer! Our American citizen minorities also don’t pay taxes and have their rent paid for by becoming baby factories. Our older, past child birth minority parents are housing these illegal minority children so they can collect more welfare because they can’t have more, they already had 12 childrens! We know what’s going on!

5
t_l_winks 5 points ago +5 / -0

Another important point made was that illegals are accustomed to third world conditions, which they don’t understand what that means. They bring their 3rd world conditioning with them and never learn to grow past that. I lived in the 3rd world… homes that were considered “rich” were still shitholes.

2
Trooph-Hurts 2 points ago +2 / -0

They live like slaves and that’s perfect elites…. I mean, there is no reason for there to be a single slum in America but there are…. Why you ask, because democrat cities do not enforce codes!

I left Canada for Texas many years ago. Had the same experience as you when I went back to visit. Couldn't even recognize the place, it had devolved tremendously even in the few years I was gone.

24
grassshrimp 24 points ago +24 / -0

Boiled frog fable. A slow deterioration and people just adjust, forgetting how it was years ago. I was shocked a couple of years ago when I went to San Francisco. It was nothing like I remembered from a decade ago when I visited often. It's dirty, disgusting, homeless everywhere, unsafe and there is no way I will ever visit or spend another dime there again in my lifetime.

2
dasvolk [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I got out in San B after I crossed the AZ border and shouted "what the fuck?!" when I saw the gas prices. A couple looked over and I asked how they dealt with that shit, and they agreed but ultimately just shrugged. You're absolutely right.

22
Kek_The_World 22 points ago +22 / -0

The illegals live on a shoe string buget… nope. They drive cars nicer than mine!!!!

They do work for cash and that’s to hide their earnings from the government so that the taxpayer gives them $300 per child extra in cash payments right now every month, snap, WIC, they feed their kids breakfast and lunch at schools, free healthcare, dental, vision, school supplies, clothes, section 8 rent assistance.

They do not have to live on a budget. At 100 bucks a day cash they are in 3000 a month tax free and another 3000+ in free money from the government minimum.

I'm a fourth generation Californian that left the state at the age of twenty two twenty six years ago. In my old man's day (born 1942) California was a fucking paradise. Even when I was young it wasn't that bad, but you could see the writing on the wall.

What happened?

By the time I was in the third grade I was the only kid in the class from CA. Every fucking grifter and wanna be moved to CA and fucked it up. EVERYTHING I enjoyed was being destroyed by douche-canoes. Sailing? Destroyed. Surfing? Destroyed. Jobs? Destroyed. Manufacturing? Gone. The entire economy of LA , as near as I can tell, is selling each other houses at ever increasing prices. They're a fucking virus, and they're going to burn CA to the ground and search for a new host.

When i firstvleft california..i had been thinking about leaving for years...i grew up by the beach in the 70s and 80s...so...after i left...i did miss the beach and the beach atmosphere...and in 2011 i moved back to CA..thinking how great it would be to be back by the beach...and driving back in..right away i started seeing the things that i had forgotten about in my romanticized remembrances...the crowded as hell freeway...the dirty cramped overcrowded apartment vuildings...stuffed in every nook and cranny...covering the once golden rolling hillsides like a tijuana landscape...

the beaches are just as overcriwded...with lifeguards not allowing ppl to swim in nost areas because...overcrowded with ppl dont know how to swim and the trash floating in the water...it used to be just seaweed. And the sand littered with trash no mater how far you hurrow down..dirty diapers and empty chip bags.

Even the little "secret" spots were inundated with pol, filth and restrictiona...the prices for anything...the tension...having to look over your shoulder all the time..doesnt matter if its a wgite skater dude or a brown cholo type...or soccer mom..just feeling like there is always a target somewhere on or around you....and the car rage..i could go on amd on.

I was hapoy tobleave again in 2013..havent missed it since. I miss the wonderful california that it used to be..but that california is gone.

3
dasvolk [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

I was the same way about the roads, thinking how I had been missing out on the great driving roads I remembered. Rose tinted glasses though, I wasn't thinking straight. The roads here were great once upon a time, but they're unmaintained shit now. I'll be happy to get back to Texas.

3
RegularAmerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think you're exaggerating the beach situation but everything else is pretty accurate

4
arminius009- 4 points ago +4 / -0

Relative to what it was like in the late 1900s..i dont think its exaggerated. Not to say that there is a dirty diaper every five yards...but certainly much more than used to be. Also..some beaches have equipment to clean up sand weekly..so s9mewhat depends on beach

3
RegularAmerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

I agree. The estuaries and stuff that go into the ocean are much worse when it comes to the garbage situation. And other than some LA beaches where there's a homeless crisis they keep the beaches pretty clean. But the cities and even many of the suburbs have gotten so much nastier. My brother was ordering tacos the other day at King Taco and he found a bag of meth on the floor.

14
Filetsmignon 14 points ago +14 / -0

I was born and raised in CA (Santa Cruz...very liberal coastal beach town). As an adult I'd lived a few different places for short periods. Texas twice and loved it. Went back to CA around 2010 and spent 10 years there. Finally threw the gauntlet down and gave my moderate, CA loving wife the ultimatum that "WE ARE MOVING!!!!". She bent the knee...although not easily. Moved to TX hill country last year and love it so much. Patriots everywhere. Everybody drives a big truck. Best decision of my life. The only downside is work is harder to find for me. But I'll never go back to that swirling cesspool of a State. CA is sunk.

As a 9th generation Texan, I welcome new conservatives and libertarians to the state but I ask this one thing: tell others what you saw. Warn people what awaits them at the end of the socialist path. Most importantly: teach your kids when/if you have them. There is still a fight to be had here in my great state and should Texas fall to the plot of the communists, there is no other sanctuary awaiting us. We ARE the Alamo.

2

DickTick 13 points ago +13 / -0

Honestly I think a big part of the problem is is that most of them don't know that it's any better pretty much anywhere else in the United States...

The majority of people to move away from California don't actually do so to tiny flyover towns, most of the time do they go to other shit hole type places....

I doubt they know that there are lovely beautiful places to live in this country where you can rent a nice ass house for 600-700 dollars a month, with actual property with it too...... Hell you can mortgage it if you want to for $1,000 or less per month I'm not talking about like in the middle of nowhere, I'm talking to my places where the nearest town is 5 minutes away..... There are hundreds of thousands of places like that in the United States, but I bet most people from shithole cities and states don't know that.....

1
stormybanks 1 point ago +1 / -0

I didn't know that. In Oregon, I don't think I have even seen a small apartment with rent less than $1,000 per month. I need to get out of here. 😟

1
Cliffinati 1 point ago +1 / -0

In my area (NC) $1,300 gets a 2 bed 2 bath in the nicest complex in town

10
Rambochka 10 points ago +10 / -0

Before CA collapses we need to build a fence around it. Have a purity test of sorts to allow refugees out. They built that damn shithole, they can suffer the consequences. I'm a Texan and all for injection of likeminded, respectable people. Especially if they bring skills and business - there's plenty of room here. But that commie shit needs to be kept out.

5
Cyer6 5 points ago +5 / -0

They will now. Can't come out here and kill their babies anymore and everyone could be carrying a gun (legally). That doesn't sit well with lefties. Those locusts will find other wheat fields to feed on.

When the lights go down in the Shitty

And the sun shines on the bay

Ooh, I wanna escape from my Shitty, oh

Oh, oh, oh

So you think you're hungry

Well, my friend, I'm hungry too

I got to escape from my Shitty by the bay

Oh, oh, oh

It's sad, oh, there's been mornings out on the road within you

Within your harms

Ooh, my, my, my, my, my, my

Oh, oh, oh

When the lights go down in the Shitty

And the sun shines on the bay

Ooh, I wanna escape from my Shitty, oh

Texas is a refuge for the independent thinking. But the borders need to permit Red Immigration and Blue Emigration ONLY. Blue pilled may VISIT to see what they missed, bit may not bring their blue pilled life with them.

There is plenty of room in the California desert for the Blue Pilled from the entire Nation. Then let NATURE take it's course.

BTW, since Newsom is a fan of SANCTUARY, no former STATE Resident who now resides in TEXAS may be TAXED by a such FOREIGN STATE by reason of their former residence.

This is evidence of how crucial it is to cut off leftism early, before it has a chance to imbed itself. Once it gets a foothold, it's a one-way trip to inevitable destruction. They turned one of the most beautiful places on Earth into a festering shithole in a single generation.

Oppose, as strenuously as possible, EVERY effort at leftism in TX, no matter how small or how "harmless" or "compassionate" or "common sense" it seems. Oppose every leftist politician, no matter what. Oppose all new government benefits, universal income, rent control, minimum wage, school curricula, and of course any restrictions on 2A.

Consider any leftist policy, no matter how small, as the first germ of the infection.

In addition, laws against theft are simply not enforced by the police.

I left about a year ago. About 8 years prior, I had moved from the bay area to norcal. Shortly before I left for good, I was back in the bay and was overwelmed by the state of it. Homeless encampments under almost every overpass, homeless encampments along highway frontage roads. Total shithole.

5
FakeName4Safety 5 points ago +5 / -0

As a current southern California resident soon to be moving to east TN, you couldn't be more right. We sold our house months ago and we are crammed in a tiny one-bedroom apartment for another 3 months. House prices are starting to drop by double digit percentages so we sold just in time, got top dollar. Banked it away. I'd advise all California conservatives to do the same. Don't be here when the shit hits the fan. You'll need to be an elite or in a Red area to survive.

Get ready for $6.00 gas, more emboldened crazed leftists screaming at you for not "complying" with the latest unconstitutional mandate/order, a huge leap in criminal immigration, and higher taxes to pay for their daily needs. More masks. More lockdowns. More control over your freedom.

California is lost. 35 glorious and beautiful years living here soured and tainted by progressivism. I know compared to CA, TN has worse weather, lesser quality of restaurants (maybe), and lower wages. But cost of living is 25% of what it is in SoCal, there's trees and greenery everywhere, and there's solid conservative values in most of the state. It's going to feel more like home than CA ever did, I believe.

We need California to implode. Leftists and progressives need to learn from this. I pray to God they actually do learn. In the meantime, pray for my wife and I as we uproot and replant in TN. My motto is "Remember why you fled, keep Tennessee Red."

Deuteronomy 31:8 - "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

I still live here but who knows for how long. In LA county they are saying only vaccinated can go into nightclubs and bars. You have to show your papers. We edge closer to leaving each day and taking our significant tax revenue with us. I literally only stay for the nice weather

3
FakeName4Safety 3 points ago +3 / -0

Friend, we are headed to East TN in December. We sold our house and got bank for it. The price has already dropped 10% so we did it just in time. We are in a 1 bedroom apartment until we move. It's hard. You'll question your decision. But you'll also know you're heading to freedom, a better life, and more happiness.

I'll miss the weather, great food, the ocean, etc. But there's beauty everywhere and learning to appreciate REAL fall, cold winters, and actual rain making your environment green and vibrant...it will all work out for us.

Do it. Pull the trigger before it's too late. God Speed.

EDIT: We are in Orange County, CA

I'm in Orange County, TEXAS. It used to be 80% Democrat. Then Eisenhower, Reagan and now Trump have made it 80% MAGA.

We still have local Magistrates (County Judges) that try to impose Mask Mandates, but that didn't go over too well. The solution was to post the signs and then ignore them.

I'm sure our neighbors hate us, but damn if this isn't the best thing that I've ever done for my family.

We still have enough trees and ammo to exercise a few fundamental rights. It's pretty much Country vs City everywhere now. The city folk don't understand how dependent they are on Country folks. They are about to find out.

Other states need to come up with a way to keep Californians out, and that's coming from someone who is still here

If conservatives flee CA, we flee to get away from progressives. We will just be one more Red vote in Texas/Tennessee/Oklahoma/Arizona, etc. If liberals flee and try to change an area to blue, they need to be put down fast and hard. That is all.

That second part is what has me worried. There doesn't seem to be a plan to do it. PS many CA Republicans aren't actually based, they could almost be considered liberals by red state standards

I like all the recommendations to act locally if you're a based patriot. Also, your statement is absolutely correct about "Republicans" AKA RINO's which is why I said conservatives.

Schwarzenegger Republicans - AKA RINOS.

Trying to convince my GF to leave to Texas

Marshall2 1 point ago +1 / -0

FOR TEXAS. Don't bring her if she likes where she's at. It will only bring you misery.

1
Cantshadowbanthemall 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well not being able to afford a house outside the ghetto despite 6,fig incomes is bullshit

1
Marshall2 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't misunderstand me. You sound like you're ready. She doesn't. If it's hard to convince her, you're already set up for misery. But if housing prices are all that concern you, you're not ready either.

It's WHY housing prices are crazy that is important.

1
Cantshadowbanthemall 1 point ago +1 / -0

China bought half the market, NIMBYs preventing building of denser housing, illegals sucking up $20Bn a year in state taxes, fucking PETA getting bullshit laws passed designed to make meat too expensive to consume, no 2A rights so crime is rampant. Got a little off track of housing prices there at the end but still

This is a bad thing to say. I am partly glad about this. Traveled to California a lot for work over the years. Always found the weather and scenery outside of the cities amazing. Never could live there though with all the crazy. Now though after it falls apart and goes like a RL the purge. Might actually find some good property not surrounded by the crazy once the dust settles.

I left the Bay Area for Hill Country about 3 years ago.

I went back last year, to move moms out to Texas, and it was just surreal. The news, I had it on one morning and it was non-stop COVID COVID COVID TEXAS AND FLORIDA BAD BAD BAD CALIFORNIA GOOD GOOD GOOD.

When I lived there I guess it was probably like that too but I just was used to it maybe. In a frog sitting in boiling water kind of way.

Last year it was completely dystopian. Weird. Like in another country weird. I don't have any reason to go back there, and I never plan to. All my family left (not to Texas, but places similar).

The sad thing for me is my mom has no idea that she's taking in propaganda. The local news stations there pump out the most insane bullshit I've ever seen, the bay area NBC station makes CNN look like Fox. She's had her politics twisted by watching that shit every day.

My mom was the same way. She was all about the masks and everything. I brought her out to my house while we looked for her a place, and the first weekend we went out to a party down the road. Probably 100 people and bands, not a single mask anywhere. She didn't know how to act. LOL

She's come to her senses at this point.

If 91 octane is shit tier what the hell is the 85 octane I've been using in my truck

1
Cliffinati 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its because he likely drives a high compression turbocharged car that needs a super high octane gas to prevent premature combustion

dasvolk [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

We get 93 in Texas, and my car is tuned for it so it gets mad when all that's available is 91.
