Trumps second term would have buried China. We must decouple from China. We are their life support. Communists are the lowest lifeforms, their only concern is survival. One million or 100 million dead is a small price to pay to survive.

We absolutely must bring manufacturing back home.

A nation can not exist for long on spreadsheets and coffee shops.

98
IroWide 98 points ago +98 / -0

Wont bring em home as long as corporate tax rates are raised to suffocating levels...

94
BasicKekinomics 94 points ago +94 / -0

Obviously we have to remove the potato regime from power first.

50
IroWide 50 points ago +56 / -6

Or educate the next generation on how an economy works. I am convinced that the majority of this country would vote for a tax increase on corporations, truly believing they are helping themselves(when they're actually just voting themselves out of a job). Kids don't learn anything but numbers and grammar now. History is picked apart and rendered biased an ineffective, and thanks to the myths of Karl Marx and Charles Darwin, we have a country that believes they evolved from an ape.

BasicKekinomics 41 points ago +41 / -0

"Economics in One Lesson" and "The Road to Serfdom" should be mandatory reading in schools.

Lessons learned directly from WW2 and the Great Depression.

Why must we relearn these lessons the hard way over and over when good men took the time to write them down for us so we could avoid those same pitfalls?

Absolutely infuriating.

40

Because the bad guys infiltrated every aspect of the education system and made sure to bury these lessons.

We'll have to bring small businesses back by voluntarily choosing not to do business with Big Corp.

That requires personal sacrifice. And from what I've seen, Americans are desperately looking for a way to signal their virtue. We just have to convince them of our virtue.

4
Prudentwait 4 points ago +4 / -0

Big corps are propped up by the government. Your solution predisposes that we have a free market, which we don't.

1
Manofmanytrades 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ending the federal reserve ends the power of government and globalists to be kingmakers. This must be a key goal when we regain the country.

1
DJTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Free market principles are the laws the economics. They will work whether or not elements of the market are free.

1
Legalpede 1 point ago +1 / -0

My solution supposed that, maybe, over a period of time that probability will take too long (if it could be done at all), people could be brought back to some semblance of morality. Nothing short of a new great awakening of sorts. If people knew what was going on, if they could get off their tv/facebook addiction long enough... then people could choose not to participate in the system anymore.

It's certainly not easy, or even likely. And no doubt it will involve open warfare if we ever did it well enough to get noticed. But Its also the only thing that 'could' work.

It is precisely because the system is not a free-market that requires people to stop behaving like it is. Don't buy something because its the cheapest, or the best (as we would do under a free market). We'll have to pay more, for lower quality goods (to our fellow freedom-oriented allies) in order to attempt to rebuild even a small fraction of the manufacturing base we once had. That's what I meant by sacrifice. There are no easy solutions. And what I'm proposing (and its hardly my own idea) would take decades to work. There isn't much 'hope' to be found in this idea, only a fool's hope. But its better than nothing. And people are already starting to realize it (whether its in time, or whether they'll get off the couch to participate is a question I can't answer). To be honest, I find it a pain in the ass to do all the things I need to do to do my own part (like paying cash, and don't have a million accounts and apps online, and spend less time in front of the zombie-screen, and buy local....etc.)

China has the monopoly on rare earth minerals currently and people need to see this.

Yellen wants to raise the debt ceiling and tax unrealized gains, so I'm drifting further and further to them actively trying to destroy the country.

10
I_Used_to_be_me 10 points ago +10 / -0

How the fuck can any average American pay taxes on unrealized gains? I've intentionally held my assets for very specific reasons to where my "gains" (on paper), were they taxed, would literally bankrupt me (obviously I'd just have to sell some to cover the costs, but that defeats the entire purpose) — they're about 4-5 times the size of my salary, I can't pay taxes on that until I'm actually... ya know... prepared to cash out and pay capital gains

2
edxzxz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Doesn't matter what they want to do, their power is limited to the specific enumerated powers set forth in the US Constitution, which only allows a tax on INCOME due to the 16th amendment - there's no power to tax property simply because it exists.

2
Imransgarage 2 points ago +2 / -0

there's no power to tax property simply because it exists.

Right that's left up to the cities and states.

2
I_Used_to_be_me 2 points ago +2 / -0

haha, I mean... well yea, they shouldn't want to, but obviously we live in a world where "should" and "shouldn't" isn't really something our "elected" (and appointed) officials give much thought to

5
ThurstonHowell3rd 5 points ago +5 / -0

Welcome to property taxes. You pay based on what they think your property is worth, even though you have no plans to sell.

1
I_Used_to_be_me 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah tell me about it. It's the main thing that's prevented me from buying a home (I live in a state w/ no income or sales tax, but crazy-high property taxes. In many cases, tax each month isn't much less than the mortgage payment). I'm on a border, so I've been trying to determine if it's worth buying a house in the state next door (cheaper houses and property tax, but then I'll get hit w/ income tax)

edit - and certainly not defending it, but at least a homebuyer knows what they're gettiing into beforehand when they buy a house. To slap a new tax on unrealized gains is absolutely insane though, even if it is the same principle. People made their investments under current tax laws, and this would absolutely decimate average Americans

2
ThurstonHowell3rd 2 points ago +2 / -0

What they have wanted for decades is a way to tax wealth instead of income.

I'm about 2 inches away from going full ex-pat and just moving to a "shit hole" country where you can actually live well as long as you have enough money (which isn't all that much by US standards). It's just tough; doesn't seem like there are any countries right now that are worth it. Friend just moved to Brazil and loves it, but their taxes are crazy high too and wouldn't really do me any favors moving there. I'm starting to think my love for America — which is entirely based in its founding principles, and what the country is supposed to look like/operate as — is completely misplaced because everything that was once great about the U.S./all the things I used to love, don't seem to be coming back anytime soon, if ever.

Meanwhile those people gladly fuck over their own country…

19
80960KA 19 points ago +19 / -0

Chinese are really really cutthroat. I think people in the west overestimate how much of a hivemind they are. They're more collectivist than Europeans, but also lower trust so there's tons of backstabbing. There's also the long term history of China which has put them in position to be a superpower many times, but they always lose the opportunity to internal strife.

Our Fed Reserve didn’t see the 08 crash coming, they had roughly 24 hours to add liquidity/QE to the market or the crash would have been much worse.

The CCP is already working to resolve the problem, one way they are doing so is by not allowing withdrawals.

Probably not in the present conditions. It is crashing now, but could recover the fastest

China banned crypto for a reason. The CCP commies didnt want the people there in China to have an escape route during this economic crisis the CCP is about to unleash

Chinese people have been growing more and more independent over the last few years - following western media, watching western news, western movies and many even western education.

No better way to remind them of their serfdom than unleashing a crippling economic crisis, and then bartering financial aid, sucking the soul out of their own citizens.

This is what CCP does

Imagine that but instead this time it’s a Chinese company (Evergrande) that flounders and sets off another market crash. That’s the theory at least.

(Incredibly oversimplified but that’s the ELI5 version.)

3
sovereign_citizen 3 points ago +3 / -0

The real story will be if Evergrande has financial ties to everything in the backend like Lehman Brothers did. Leham was hooked into everything which sent a cascading collapse. These real estate companies collapsing may not be as damaging but I guess we'll see...

4
BigIronBigIron 4 points ago +4 / -0

One thing I know is that regular working people will never be able to afford a house. Even if real estate tanks, they'll never allow prices to drop to sane levels.

3
sovereign_citizen 3 points ago +4 / -1

they'll never allow prices to drop to sane levels.

Not when you can take out an infinite amount of money for a mortgage over an infinite amount of time.

Debt will keep REAL asset prices inflated.

What's scary is I'm seeing all kinds of YouTube videos recommending this as a hedge and strategy against inflation. Leverage as much debt as you can to buy up assets then wait and turn around sell them. What they never tell you is banks know how this game works which is why they take their cut through "closing costs" and whatever return you might have gained through inflation is captured through the fees.

Are you surprised?

9
u53rnam3 9 points ago +9 / -0

This has always been best case scenario. Sadly, our own situation realistically requires the USA to collapse as well while we build back up from the solid fundamentals.

3
Toollespaulhero 3 points ago +3 / -0

We aren’t going to build back from solid fundamentals because of who the goons in charge are and who they’ve sworn loyalty to.

3
BigIronBigIron 3 points ago +3 / -0

If the United States collapses, those people will be located.

1
u53rnam3 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's really the only option. Do like the monasteries did and build back a civilization in the fall of Rome. Mind you, we have to make sure that Rome falls.

Global finance has reached a point so far divorced from traditional market dynamics that I fail to see how any rational response to a "bubble" or "collapse" applies any more. We are mutually dependent, so fiat currencies and federally/centrally directed markets call all the shots. The CCP doesn't care if their policies inflict pain on anyone, they are the means of production. Special economic zones are destroyed as easily as they are created by the CCP. What I do see is that multi-national companies are certainly investing heavily in TX. Samsung is building a $17B plant, Tesla is building a $1B dollar plant...and that's just in the Austin area. They were careful to escape the clutches of commie city council of Austin though....each plant is outside their jurisdiction, and annexation isn't going to happen.

SaltyKrakenBalls 6 points ago +6 / -0

WE ARE AT WAR WITH THE CCP

2
pelosis_liver 2 points ago +2 / -0

I said this to someone about 8 years ago and they laughed at me. Several weeks later they were seeing signs of it too. Now they probably think I’m Nostradamus.

2

Time to short the HK dollar/borrow to buy US currency with it

5
MustafaJones 5 points ago +6 / -1

China's economy is totally fucked. 70 years of economic mismanagement by the CCP has caused a huge wealth gap, extremely low birth rates, unaffordable schooling for children, an unaffordable housing bubble, and more and more pensioners every year. Not to mention most of China's billionares are state funded monopolies and have no business acumen at all. There's a reason the richest man in China went bankrupt over night and owes billions to the banks.

4
Parzivil 4 points ago +4 / -0

When talking to your financial adviser, China falls under ‘Emerging Markets’. Even if you don’t hold chi-com companies... if you have an emerging market ETF or Mutual Fund.... you are investing in China.

3
KonyHawk_ProSlaver 3 points ago +3 / -0

As of Sept. 1, there were four emerging market ETFs that have no exposure to China:

  • $74 million iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ex China ETF (EMXC)
  • $19 million Columbia EM Core ex-China ETF (XCEM)
  • $19 million Freedom 100 Emerging Market ETF (FRDM)
  • $2 million KraneShares MSCI Emerging Markets ex China Index ETF (KEMX).

Bw2020 3 points ago +4 / -1

The market has been rough all month. I don't know how it's been good this year so far with the absolute disaster of this administration. This run wasn't going to last and this Chinese thing may be the catalyst that crashes our market. Crypto is crashing as well

Rather than reply to individuals touting how a real economy should work and/or teaching future generations about how economies work;

You're not understanding that there are no economic blunders. This is all by design. There is a certain unemployment rate and a certain poverty level (that as time goes on, will increase, also by design) as per the central planners/globalists in charge of the whole "climate emergency" scam.

If everyone was truthfully wealthy and fortunate due to having good paying jobs, they would all be traveling more and consuming more goods. Can't have that, for the greater good!

Never forget what kind of mundane life they want for the entirety of the globe's populace.

Nothing I have seen has convinced me that there is or was a "deadly virus", released or naturally occurring. There've <---screw you, spell checker!-- always been viruses, and they've always killed people. I hate to say this, but thank God SOMETHING kills people - average lifespan being what it's becoming.

Every freaking year (until the deadly virus became a thing) people have been told to get their annual flu shot, and you know what? Just as many people who got the shot as who didn't, got the flu.

Then they added "get your annual shingles shot"... as far as I can tell it's nothing more than a sales gimmick by big pharma.

2
Independenceforever 2 points ago +2 / -0

"deadly virus"

how long are you guys gonna cling to that issue?

really dizzying how stupid this failed narrative is - and you're only hurting yourself attempting to use it as a rally point.

no thanks. you are on your own on this one.

CHINA IS TO BLAME ON TRADE WAR? For our businesses selling out our factories for GENERATIONS to outsource literal slave labor and human organ harvesting? For EVERY DAMN ONE OF YOU WHO SHOP AT WALMART OR AMAZON BECAUSE YOU NEED TO "SAVE MONEY"? YOU FAGGOTS DO THIS DAILY WHEN YOU DON'T BUY MADE IN USA STUFF, HIGHER QUALITY FOR MORE MONEY. China is not at fault here. YOU ARE, AMERICA.

CHINA IS TO BLAME FOR CORRUPTING FEINSTEIN? Is every traitor not to blame for betraying their elected position of trust and responsibility? Is China supposed to prosecute and execute our laws on treason? IS CHINA SUPPOSED TO HOLD OUR GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY ACCOUNTABLE TO BE LOYAL TO AMERICAN CITIZENS INSTEAD OF CHINA AKA WEST TAIWAN? China isn't to blame, WE ARE. We are not prosecuting treason. We are not investigating treason. We are not doing justice. IT ISN'T CHINA'S JOB TO EXECUTE TRAITORS THAT SELL OUT TO THEM. IT'S OURS. China, again, is not at fault. WE NEED TO RESPECT AND ADMINISTER OUR OWN LAWS, LIBERTY, AND JUSTICE.

CHINA IS TO BLAME FOR CIA BETRAYING SHANG KAI SHEK AND INSTALLING MAO? When is the IC faggot community going to be held publicly accountable for DECADES of crimes that all involve the ultimate penalty for the most depraved villainy against God, humanity, and country?

China faked bioweapons research. They sold it to our murderous overlords who were actually going to execute 90 plus percent of us.

China merely pretended to invent another cold or flu strain, or re-released an old one. These "vaccine" labs are the very reason they keep germs and diseases on hand TO LEAK AND RESEARCH on in the first place. Are Americans so stupid as to keep parroting a failed narrative THIS long.

China can essentially END the new world order right now if they wanted to. they fucked everybody over and outsmarted everybody.

They knew it would expose our "leaders" as heartless rulers and sellouts. I suppose even they couldn't have expected us to be so gullible, helpless, lazy, stupid, and godless. Why can't we just admit what's happening here? None of you were traitors. Who are we protecting?

Europe is more to blame - this unelected government by fiat and climate accord bullshit came from EUROPE. Biden the illegitimate tyrant bows the knee to them and DESTROYED AMERICAN JOBS AND SHUT OFF OUR OWN OIL AND SCREWED PA AND GAS FOR NOTHING. NONE OF THIS WAS BECAUSE OF "CHINA".

bush/clinton/obongo and the IC mafia that runs everything is more to blame. China didn't force all the stupid citizens of the USA to comply, to let in hordes of invading mercenaries and criminals. WHERE IS OUR RULE OF LAW? LAW ENFORCEMENT? INTELLIGENCE? MILITARY? EVERY BRANCH OF AMERICA IS RUN BY RETARDED COMMIE FAGGOTS. How is China to blame for every single one of them?

China actually isn't to blame for us not prosecuting our sellout government for treason. WE SHOULD PROSECUTE TREASON ON OUR OWN.

WEST TAIWAN is the true name of the territory occupied by the CCP. I'd be allies with a free West Taiwan centered at Hong Kong.

I like the Chinese people.

My neighbor is going to face bribes from adulterers to drug dealers to criminals to China to the devil himself. IT'S ON MY NEIGHBOR TO SAY NO WHEN AN ENEMY BRIBES HIM TO SELL ME AND MY FAMILY OUT TO SLAVERY AND DEATH.

The West Taiwanese culture doesn't declare war. They just go to war.

They will fear and respect a United States who self corrects, is strong, and admits fault to gain wisdom.

They will not respect screeching about a 99.99% survivable cold season, WHEN WE OURSELVES BANNED AND OUTLAWED KNOWN THERAPEUTICS.

WHEN WE OURSELVES SOLD FAKE "VACCINES" THAT ACTUALLY WERE KILLING PEOPLE AND THEN CONTINUED TO BLAME WEST TAIWAN!!!!

China is not to blame for Trump being a total dipshit bending over to Jared Kushner on masks, jabs, and "tests". TRUMP IS AT FAULT THERE.

Trump wrote the emergency order. 49 faggot governors shook their knees afraid.

CHINA ISN'T TO BLAME FOR US NOT DOING OUR CIVIC PEACEFUL DUTY ON THE GRASSROOTS LEVEL.

get to work!

Economic warfare.

I guess shutting down the world economy with a fake flu psyop and locking everyone up for 18 months didn't kill off enough of Winnie the Poo's Western enemies.

Even if China suffers, its will to destroy America will continue for generations until it wins.

Biden, Harris, Pelosi and the rest are just the beginning.

All these migrants are locusts that will weaken America from within.
