They wouldn’t be trying to ban them if they didn’t work.

87
ramennov 87 points ago +88 / -1

He has a point, which I think is that in spite of our guns, we've had our election stolen and their agenda forced on us regardless. Yes we have guns and that's a good thing, but it's also made us lazy. We have the raw power to end government inside of a week (were we organized), but because we're in a permanent holding state waiting to use that raw power, we're not using other tools we have like protesting.

35
QLARP 35 points ago +37 / -2

You are talking to thousands of people who are living in states with 0 covid restrictions.

So motivating them to protest is difficult

26
dakin116 26 points ago +26 / -0

Yup, the Home Depot here tried to put mask signs back up and nobody gives a shit anymore.

8
Sparks1017 8 points ago +8 / -0

And I didn't give a shit before, I never wore mask, fuk them, and not even once did anyone challenge me or ask me to put one on, had they I would have walked out, so they can try to put up all the signs they want again

1
Carry_Your_Name 1 point ago +1 / -0

Obviously they put up the sign for health inspectors or any other buearucrats, not their customers. If nobody's wearing a mask, well, it's not their problem.

which kind of proves that guns work

those states may not be so lenient on covid restrictions if guns were outlawed there

7
gunteh 7 points ago +7 / -0

If you need a lockdown to protest, you’re missing the forest for the trees.

Our elections are no longer free and fair, children are being forced to mask up and get indoctrinated in schools, BLM and Antifa run around freely while we get glowies infiltrating ours, Gun rights are at a historic low, economic freedom is at a historic low, debt is spiraling out of control, and the Great Reset marches on.

You’ve lost the objective as soon as you think that temporary lockdowns are the issue of our century. People in Australia are fighting for their freedoms, not for lockdown requirements.

5
Chopblock 5 points ago +5 / -0

The Aussie Union Member Protestors were apologizing to their countrymen for not standing up until it hit their own bacon, and saying they should have been doing this a year ago.

In the U.S. we’re sitting in Australia’s ‘year ago’ RIGHT NOW.

3
ShreddyTinkles 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not really, you guys have been overthrown by communists and still haven’t banned crt, you are way behind Australia. Most people on here are just super low on information and think that what happening in the smallest state in Australia is happening in the entire country.

2
Carry_Your_Name 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's because they only have the memory of a fish living in perpetual present, just like the commie media. It's always one video clip, one photo op, one sound bite, and then endless reactions to those. Nobody cares about real issues. It's very difficult for an average person to break out of the information bubble these days because you don't know what you don't know.

1
gunteh 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, it’s deeper than that, because I can honestly ask you what we’ve actually conserved in the last 50 years and it’s…nothing…

-1
covok48 -1 points ago +2 / -3

And they will be ruthlessly crushed. Meanwhile we’ll still have our guns and with that our ability to take back our country if pushed far enough. We aren’t there yet and I’d argue we have a ways to go..

4
ShreddyTinkles 4 points ago +4 / -0

More guns and gun owners in Australia than ever before, try not to be so low information if you are going to engage in discussions about manners you know fuck all about.

5
ThomasJ 5 points ago +6 / -1

Oh they did. Now I got kicked out of college. No education for me and millions the same. But thanks God we have guns I guess. Life is certainly better in America

5
julianleroux 5 points ago +5 / -0

Exactly this. I never realized that the second amendment could have this negative unintended effect, by giving individuals a false of security / illusion of a "smash-the-glass" option. A cornered animal fights the hardest, and all that.

we're not using other tools we have like protesting.

...including the most powerful tools of all ... economic and social pressure.

0
covok48 0 points ago +1 / -1

Well because escalation is 0 -> 10 really really fast. Once a few feds, police, or health officials get shot, the retaliation is going to be harsh and then the war is on.

4
covok48 4 points ago +5 / -1

The Revolution only started when the Army came to take the guns away. Why does everyone forget this?

4

13
MeinDonald 13 points ago +15 / -2

Uh they stole an election from us despite our guns... it's already really bad. Wake the fuck up

6
illidann [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

yeah the stolen election is kind of bad

but the thing is no sides then wanted it to devolve to guns.

I mean Trump could have done something when he was still commander in chief and lots of people would have followed him if he called upon them but he chose not to go that way because it was not him.

6
gunteh 6 points ago +6 / -0

No, he didn’t have power outside of the White House walls, nobody was taking orders from Trump in the last 6-12 months of his presidency.

The last thing Trump had was his Twitter, which he used to call people to DC. And we all know how that went.

Stop blaming Trump for your failures to stand up when you could have. The election audit is being dragged out by people who think that “two weeks” means sit tight and don’t act.

3
illidann [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

not blaming Trump

just saying that he is not the one to lead via violent means or violent protests. its not him.

people dont just snap and get out on the streets and block highways if they have other choices. they need a catalyst or a leader or policies that force them out.

he had still lots of power if he called the election illegitimate at the time but he didnt have enough proof and he didnt go for it.

we still are doing audits to try to get proof that it was stolen even tho we know it was. knowing and proof is different.

i agree that without proof, Trump coulnt do anything yes.

0
gunteh 0 points ago +2 / -2

Your comment has a glow to it. Trump was saying the election was going to be stolen way before anyone else. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-longstanding-history-calling-elections-rigged-doesnt-results/story?id=74126926

8
RegularAmerican 8 points ago +8 / -0

5
Clarence_Thomas 5 points ago +5 / -0

3
gunteh 3 points ago +3 / -0

If people in Australia and New Zealand were tolerant up until this point without guns, then we still have a long ways to go before we start using our guns.

Having them gives us a false sense of security that we can always turn things around, even when we’re politically only 6 months behind Europe.

3
Chopblock 3 points ago +3 / -0

You don’t need guns, you need addresses

1
RegularAmerican 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't think the 2A has this big effect on politics. Not to the point at least they begin to illegally start hurting people and those people begin to defend themselves. People don't start revolution over politics they do it when they're dragged into it even tho they did all they could to avoid and stay neural like mel Gibson in the Patriot.

2
gunteh 2 points ago +3 / -1

2A has everything to do with politics, as it is the only means to combat tyranny when it becomes malignant.

2a has no purpose outside of politics.

1
RegularAmerican 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm not trying to say its not what could be saving us from politics gone too far. I think it probably will have that effect. I just don't consider it politics at a certain point it's more like war or survival.

0
covok48 0 points ago +1 / -1

Because we are able to turn things around with them. Europeans & Oceanians are not going to protest or riot their way out of this. End the end they’re going to need the military to back them or raid an armory.

3
MasksAreChildAbuse 3 points ago +4 / -1

Guns only work when they go bang.

Also just FYI they have already been successful in taking our guns for decades. The mere fact ANY gun law is on the books and enforced is proof of that. Not to mention all the people who were raided and murdered over their guns.

It’s already happened and nobody did anything. Including you and me.

-1

They actually have 3.5 million guns in civilian hands, and the whole population is only 25 million.

The 3.5 million number ranks 26th among all countries:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_guns_per_capita_by_country

2
Cyer6 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've read this several places and some Aussies will confirm it. They all didn't give up their guns and my understanding is they can still purchase some kinds like bolt actions. Not sure about semi-auto's. But they do have them down there. Just like here in America, there really hasn't been a flashpoint to move it to that next level. It will take security forces taking lethal force against the people for it to happen. Same with America.

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yup, I've got some Aussie friends. They shake their heads at our misunderstanding of many things Down Under.

I mean, I don't think they should have given up any guns, but many of them did not.

6
Kpstyles 6 points ago +6 / -0

They have a shit ton of deadly creatures they could throw at police. 🐍 🕷

4
RedditIsCommunist 4 points ago +4 / -0

Firearm ownership is mostly a passive defense in the form of a deterrent. This can’t be relied on for everything.

When the deterrence isn’t present or isn’t sufficient then it requires going on the offense which is best done with non violent large scale organization. https://patriots.win/p/13zMs9HtXN/civil-resistance-tactics-its-not/

Australians gave up their gun rights deterrent though and signaled to their government that they would comply with the sort of heavy handed authoritarianism that they’re experiencing now. So now they’re even more in need of large scale non-violent non compliance and intervention tactics than they would be if they had sent the opposite message years ago.

1
gunteh 1 point ago +1 / -0

I mean, this can go either one or two ways, depending on how long the govt drags this out:

Once Australia and New Zealand reopen, there’s going to be hell to pay. And the more the govt clamps down, the more violent the response. At a certain event horizon, the violent response will become executions. See also: Jacobin Terror, Ceaucescu, and Gaddafi.

Organization is the hard part. There are FBI spies and informants everywhere. Most groups rely on digital communications, which has been totally compromised.

No tyranny will survive long in Australia. It's only by ignorance it's gone on this long

1
FrankDrebin 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can't remember the writer but he said Australians are, by and large, compliant to authoritarianism. It's normieville.

My mother immigrated here from New Zealand before I was born. I used to spend summers there. Visited Australia a few times. I would so love to visit again. Fight you Aussies, Godspeed.

I heard that the restrictions they are doing in NZ are even worse than Australia but nobody is talking about it

but yet their covid numbers still going up ... so much for selling out and going full orwellian on your people.

hope the people in NZ are hanging on tho.

Jobs has always been what kept the right from taking to the streets. Good move suspending the construction workers job for 2 weeks. Gives them time to fight tyranny

So, to give some background. Two parties of government. Libs, right wing. Labor, left leaning. (Greens, left communists).

In Victoria, Labor is in power by a huge majority. The construction union adds huge support to Labor. The union generally voted left.

The federal government is run by the Libs under Scott Morrison, which is why there is a lot of conflict between him and any Labor state governments like Victoria. Federal opposition is some left leaning twat who in the recently described Melbourne protestors as "right leaning" "man babies".

Now the thing is, these mobs of protestors are in fact, mostly left leaning. Mostly vote Labor. Labor leadership have severely screwed up by doing a Hillary Clinton deplorables-style comment against their own voter base.

This has reacted so badly with their people that they are continuing to protest. Construction workers were solely responsible for keeping the state economy running. They keep building through all lockdowns. Their workers kept a feverish pace in terms of stability. This blunder by the Federal opposition and state government has really lost them the support of their voters.

To give you some context, elections here are mandatory, and extremely prone to swinging. Parties are toppled like this. Without the workers union, they are gone at the next election.

2
illidann [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Are the Libs like the Republicans here and full of Rinos ?

2
MAUSGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

YES. Basically 100%.

2
KungPaoMcChicken 2 points ago +2 / -0

Politics in Australia are less polarised. The two major parties have centrist positions that are only different when it comes to election swing. Most the time they can agree on most policies. Mandatory voting leads to less polarisation of voting. Which means extremism is mostly ignored.

1
illidann [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

seems like the uniparty of Davos.

Whichever of the 2 sides you vote in is basically the same and will go along with the existing deep state swamp agenda of globohomosexuality.

Basically they got their interests covered regardless of who gets in office and the existence of 2 choices is just to give the illusion of choice for the masses of NPCs that dutifully vote and legitimize all the globohomos policies.

2
KungPaoMcChicken 2 points ago +2 / -0

I disagree, there are extreme parties to which you can also vote for. Seats in the house and senate can be made up of more then two parties. The two parties have clear differences which set themselves apart.

I think that swing politics are an important part of democracy. The idea of perm voting for one party is really against democracy. Things only change when you swing your vote.

Good summary, but our Liberal (right wing for our American brethren) have betrayed us too. I hate to sound even a touch Marxist, but it’s becoming about the people versus the power - not left or right parties

How the hell is this the same population that gave up their firearms though I've read they supposedly are still some in possession of Australians(?). This doesn't compute. But now they'll live with it although for sue they're demonstrating more courage than the sheep in this Country. Never, EVER, forget as history has proven since its been recorded - the tyrants last line of defense is always the police and military. ALWAYS.

d3plor4ble 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is what we should be doing. Shut down the highways and also the railroads that carry food and construction supplies into the cities. Stop constructing their buildings. Let the real-estate sector crash, it will lead to cheaper housing for us, by the way.

4
illidann [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

people dont do this until they are forced to really or unless there is organized effort and they are paid to do it.

but if you wait until you are forced to, its kind of late.

4
Mises 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just your typical mostly peaceful protesters..the left should support them.

We have to do the same exact thing in the USA! We need to step out and block all the roads in Washington and other big cities until Big Pharma crooks and Biden's handlers rescind their stupid vaccination mandate. The next step will be armed revolts if they don't do it.

3
illidann [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

dont block in their jurisdiction ... they will send every police available and even the army.

block in friendly jurisdiction have a better chance of dragging it out.

Just like blm and antifa, they do their riots in friendly jusrisdiction where nobody will arrest and prosecute them.

3
Brokenmatrix2021 3 points ago +3 / -0

We need to violently and diligently wipe our governments off the map and do a full reset.

2
Klown_Schwab 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was listening to Jay Dyer podcast reading through Operation Lockstep" and "The Fourth Industrial Revolution"

They've got it all planned out.

They expect massive protests and maybe even a revolution here and there.

Their plan is to bring the normies to a boiling point then present some semi-outsider controlled opposition politicians to guide the revolution into The Great Reset.

problem-reaction-solution

1
Election_Quotes 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sounds a bit like this...?

“Jesus announces a final persecution against His Church before His return, through the seemingly universal (but temporary) success of the Antichrist, who will establish a "false peace" on earth (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:3), through a world government and a world religion that will deny Jesus Christ as the true Messiah.”

Great article here (even though I’m not a Catholic). It’s almost like they know the playbook and are running by it...

1
Klown_Schwab 1 point ago +1 / -0

yeah antichrist and mark of the beast show up halfway through the Tribulation.

some real crazy shit happens for 3.5 years first.

I don't think this is definitely the end times yet but the parallels are eerie.

1

idk but a "great reset" is what the globohomos want ...

depends on what kind of reset we are talking about here but yeah the swamp in DC should go first

Australia is a key member in the recently formed military alliance against China... and due to geographical location I say it's the most important one.

You would recall that China and Australia weren't on very good terms recently, China stopped buying Australian wines and lobsters as retaliation for some perceived 'insult' to the sovereignty of its shitty regime.

1
dagoat4l 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't block streets take your country back. Drag out all cops, military, and politicians behind this. Let them know they are fire and black listed.

1
FrankDrebin 1 point ago +1 / -0

No way it was 20,000. Obviously more than what the media is reporting. I'd say no more than 1,500 and that's being generous.

1
illidann [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

thats the government official numbers

idk maybe they are trying to inflate the numbers to justify getting the military involved ?

8
illidann [S] 8 points ago +9 / -1

seems to be the australian government itself who gave out that 20k number :

"The government in Victoria estimated more than 20K people joined the protest on Tuesday following the announcement of a two-week industry shutdown on Monday night."

1
KingOfTards 1 point ago +2 / -1

Dude why do we see people projecting the protests being against AUS government when the protests are against the local governments in Melbourne and Sydney? It's like California and NY.

2
doug2 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's still the goverment, in Australia.

0
KingOfTards 0 points ago +1 / -1

Local government. Does NYC government represent Texas and MT? Why not call out the problem specifically?

Look at the videos genius. It's a trade union protest. The victorian government would not say 20000 it goes against it's narrative of the people protesting being couple hundred nutjobs. The source the OP supplied is the conservative version of CNN.
