This is the problem with the federal government propping up companies with OUR money.

Any time they issue an order, the company either falls in line or the money stops flowing in.

Southwest may have weak leadership, but this is about to affect many industries because federal money is EVERYWHERE.

Same problem with the federal government propping up states with our money.

Could you imagine what Commiefornia would be like if all the other states weren't paying for their stupidity to continue? Would of been a burnt out husk decades ago, and might actually be healing from having to face the consequences of their stupid ass laws and actions.

2
notCIA 2 points ago +3 / -1

If you speak to Yuropoors, they are the same as Commiefornians. They think that by virtue of having a higher minimum wage that they are more rich than those around them while ignoring exponentially higher tax rates and severely reduced buying power. Not to mention the shit living conditions, stacked into apartments like sardines in a can while paying 4-10x more than a hick with a trailer on 5 acres elsewhere.

Exactly. This should have been stopped by SCOTUS in December, and then, after they failed us, by Pence on Jan. 6. At present we have no real leverage to oust the illegitimate cartel running the country.

Sorry shitlibs, but govt using private enterprise to enforce its tyranny is not constitutional AT ALL.

5
robob2700 5 points ago +5 / -0

Not only is it unconstitutional, but it's also the definition of fascism. According to Benito Mussolini (the inventor of fascism) "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power."

This is also know as dirigism.

52

I happen to know that SWA has a ton of technical debt. That means that they have critical applications still running on old Oracle DB's (pilot scheduling, for one), and running on-prem. If that's seized, the airline stops flying, completely.

1

Well, that became moot because the laws they were fleeing from were passed when they ended up coming back. We did not need all of the commies for a quorum, just a handful. And Abbott said he would call special session after special session until those got passed, he did that and they passed.

5
PepeTrump2024 5 points ago +5 / -0

Thanks! I'm pro-vaxx anti-mandate and I would like to hang out with you guys. But sometimes it's hard to be here.

9
conservativefrank 9 points ago +9 / -0

It's hard to be where someone is trying to force a vaccine on people.

8
PepeTrump2024 8 points ago +8 / -0

Quite literally, yes. I just appreciate when someone focuses their attacks on people who are pro-mandate instead of people who are pro-vaxx.

7
Shroudedf8 7 points ago +7 / -0

I realize that many attack folks that take the clot-shot on here. I'm more of the mindset that one can make their individual choice to get it or not. It seems though that so many pro-vax folks are the lefties that scream about killing people who don't wish to get the shot, so that it becomes an easy response. There's also the 'strength in numbers' argument...the more folks that refuse the shot, the less likely the government is able to enforce this draconian bullshit.

I happen to subscribe to the idea that vaccinated people are more likely to spread the disease because they:

  1. Get the shot
  2. Get mild covid with mild symptoms
  3. Assume they are immune and only have a cold.
  4. Go to the store and other activities
  5. Spread the virus even more

If there was more honesty about the vaccine from the MSM and government, it would help mitigate the above problem, imo.

Some may also believe that vaccinated people can spread disease due to shedding spike proteins.

Sometimes it is hard to be here. As some posts devolve into the same identity politics and divisiveness that is damaging our country, it really pisses me off.

But, at the end of the day, I love the GEOTUS support here as well as the conservative news information.

4
TwitterIsTrash 4 points ago +4 / -0

As long as you agree forcing this shot on people is evil. And that includes on children who cannot consent and very arguably do not need it

2
PepeTrump2024 2 points ago +2 / -0

I do. I also believe that natural immunity >>> the shot and that it should be taken into account with the mandates. I don't believe there should BE mandates, but I think It's BS that natural immunity doesn't "count" when there is a mandate.

Do you? How many elderly diabetic pedes took the vaccine? How can I even trust a 'vaccine poll' when so much of this political nonsense is made up?

0
KingOfTards 0 points ago +2 / -2

Good point. I do not have any numbers but I do know diabetics and elderly are at risk for the flu and coronavirus. Of the people I know who have gotten the vaccine, majority are elderly, diabetic or both.

4
Shroudedf8 4 points ago +4 / -0

Living in Florida, I look at Florida covid numbers. The percentage of vaccinated is highest among the elderly, as is the mortality rate (65+). Pretty much everyone under 50 has a very low mortality rate. I have no data regarding diabetics though.

For the latest weekly report that should back up my statements:

https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/

2
KingOfTards 2 points ago +3 / -1

11
MAGA1775 11 points ago +20 / -9

"WAAHHHHH STOP DOOMING WE ARE WINNING!!! IF I SAY ENOUGH TIMES IT WILL BE TRUE WAHHHH!!! DOOMER FAGGOT DOOOOOMER WAHHHH"

What major cases have we won in state courts?

And do you not realize we are living under tyranny and the regime will just ignore them at this point? Imagine thinking a regime that openly stole an election cares about laws and what some low level courts say.

-3
KingOfTards -3 points ago +14 / -17

If you don't know the cases we have won then you do not have any fucking room to constantly doom. You are low informed focused on the negative. We have won many cases over immigration, election audits, integrity laws, abortion, religious rights, speech and gun rights. We have won all the above at State levels and some at SCOTUS level. Democrats have lost 43+ cases at state and federal courts over universal mail in voting. They have lost all 6 SCOTUS cases to implement universal mail in voting.

You are not an American Patriot. You are a weak negative cancer.

9
Chopblock 9 points ago +9 / -0

Every case that you “won” has had something in common: Increasing the power of Government to enforce its own arbitrary rules.

It’s only been a “win” for a favored particular outcome in the particular instance of the parties involved in the case; rarely if ever a long-term improvement towards increased liberty or limiting authoritarianism.

Our wins haven’t come from courts, they’ve come from culture.

1
KingOfTards 1 point ago +4 / -3

Our wins have come in court as well. There are a lot more cases than the few I shared. Blocking Universal Mail in voting is a win in my book. If SCOTUS was compromised we would have lost 35 of those cases.

5
MAGA1775 5 points ago +11 / -6

Funny, every time I ask you a question you always pivot from it.

Come on, just name a couple of them. Shouldn't be too hard. What major cases are we winning?

We have won many cases on immigration? Why are migrants pouring over the border still?

Election integrity laws? What has been fixed about our election integrity?

Speech? How come we are still being censored on a massive scale?

Lost all cases to implement mail-in voting? How come we have mass mail-in voting still and no one is doing anything about it?

You seem awfully desperate to attack real patriots who realize what is going on. New account who just attacks anyone who acknowledges reality and wants them to believe everything is peachy, that the system is good and on our side, and that 'we are winning" and we can sit back and everything will sort itself out. Very interesting....almost like you have an agenda.

You are not a patriot. You can't recognize the difference between freedom and a tyrannical regime that is crushing your neck with their jackboot. Either that, or you are controlled opposition with an agenda to convince everyone that everything is fine.

1- “the Court upheld the state’s ability to prohibit third-party collection of mail-in ballots” — a ruling that supports states being able to enforce these same frauds just as easily as prohibit them. A win only in the sense that the court declined to directly start federally usurping powers reserved to the States (except reserved a claim to do so in the future).

2- Article paywalled - assuming it’s about the Texas abortion law ruling, notice that it didn’t actually outlaw abortion, it only let States make more (supposedly) arbitrary rules and enforcement about an otherwise legal medical procedure.

3- “Still, the ruling in the Philadelphia case was not the sweeping victory the religious right was hoping for. Like the ruling in 2018, the justices' opinion was restricted narrowly to the case at hand. Supporters of religious freedom hoped that the justices would use the Philadelphia case to overturn a 1990 decision, Employment Division v. Smith, where the court held that the government may impose restrictions on religious entities as long as those restrictions are applied equally to religious and secular activities. But the justices wouldn't go that far.”

There is not mandate from the Biden admin, it's just a press release so far. OSHA hasn't dropped any new regulations yet, and it's unclear when they will.

Companies issuing their own mandates are currently doing so out of their own volition, in order to pre-empt the expected rule changes. I'm not a lawyer, but I suspect that if they violate state law in the process, they will be fully liable.

Soon to be three more if the Covid shot and booster are approved for them. Downright evil. So…because of big pharma, I can’t have peanuts on a plane anymore.

5
Barbs 5 points ago +6 / -1

The peanut allergies are actually from mothers living too sterile of a lifestyle when pregnant. Same with shellfish. If a pregnant woman eats peanut butter and doesn’t avoid seafood then that diminishes the propensity for those food allergies quite substantially.

2ScoopsMAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s one theory at least. Maybe it holds some weight but there are many others out there too.

3

They definitely do still serve peanuts, had some only a few weeks back.

It's not a law. Just like the Biden private company vaccine mandates are not a law. Biden hasn't even issued an EO. It has not even hit paper. Abbott has only issued an EO. He will push for the law but he may need to consider tax increase and audits of those forcing vaccines.

13
deleted 13 points ago +13 / -0
9
McFatty7 9 points ago +9 / -0

Exactly.

The only law on the books banning vaccine mandates is in Montana, which is why we haven’t heard a peep out of any entity in Montana.

6
KingOfTards 6 points ago +7 / -1

Because there may be like 10 that are known to the nation. Even if Abbotts EO does not help Southwest Airlines it will help a large swath of private companies. The complexity behind CBA and Southwest is slowly starting to reveal itself.

3
IAmNotAnAutist 3 points ago +3 / -0

You don't know what you're talking about. First, there IS NO CURRENT BIDEN MANDATE.

Second, EO's are 'law', in that they can be legally enforced. On a state level, the EO would be issued, then the legislation would be introduced to back in up. But it gets implemented immediately.

2
KingOfTards 2 points ago +3 / -1

Yes I do. First off, there is a Biden Mandate on Federal Contractors.

2nd, Department of Transportation and CBA fall into those mandates of Biden. State EO is now dependent upon timing of current contracts with Federal Government.

10
Rerecursive 10 points ago +11 / -1

Sure he can. Abbott won't do shit beyond virtue signalling for his reelection.

Biden and his CCP masters are calling the shots, not the CEO (or shareholders). It is clear the CCP is effectively running many US corporations.

1
Motownmow 1 point ago +1 / -0

We'll see about that. Seems like Dems have managed to ignore every US law the last 5 years.

1

5
conservativefrank 5 points ago +11 / -6

Taken what action. In action, practice, his EO means nothing. SWA will ignore it, still require vaccines. Action is about what's in practice, not what's said tto raise money.

6
KingOfTards 6 points ago +9 / -3

I take it you did not understand how government works.

It takes time to propose, debate, revise and pass a law. It also goes beyond a Governors ability. Governors do not write a law on a napkin and POOF it becomes law. EOs help prevent the mandates until law is passed. It's the very action you take to stop the bleeding.

1
conservativefrank 1 point ago +7 / -6

Right, like Biden's mask mandate.

Oh, wait.

I take it you don't know how it works. When leftists want something, they get it. No EO, law, court order, SC ruling stops them.

1
KingOfTards 1 point ago +3 / -2

You mean when the global corporate Marxist mob wants it they force it. Lefties just happen to be in favor of it. Huge fucking difference.

If pilots aren't flying, and Air Traffic Controllers are walking out, isn't this a kind of "lock down" that the globalists want? It's a shitty catch-22 for us.

38
man_of_mountain 38 points ago +38 / -0

No, because they don't want the lockdown per say, they want compliance, they want subjugation that kills the soul.

This strengthens the soul. This empowers the individual to stand against the evil, global cabal.

10
CensoredCitizen 10 points ago +10 / -0

This guy revolts.

11
Keks_Revenge 11 points ago +11 / -0

Not really. This is a good thing.

9
VeilOfReality 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yes it is. But we take the chances we have. If Nellie and Nesbit Normie are inconvenienced by this, there is a possibility they will join in against the mandates regardless of how short sighted and selfish their interest may be.

It's also possible it goes the other way when the event becomes undeniable and the media starts blaming the unvaccinated for these issues. But we're playing from behind against an opponent with a stacked roster, who has been amassing resources and game planning this for decades if not centuries. Gambits are necessary.

6
BadManOrange 6 points ago +6 / -0

I love reading reddit comments complaining about Abbott not enforcing vaxx mandates.

"Republicans trying to kill their base."

-Covid rates are higher in liberal shitholes and the numbers are going down in Texas.

"I thought Republicans didn't like government interfering with businesses."

-The businesses are only doing this because of federal overreach.

"Texas should leave the US and I'll never go there."

-Your terms are acceptable. It's such a shit hole that fags from California can't get here fast enough. Texas is self sufficient and runs on a surplus. States like Texas and Florida don't need the federal government but they sure need us.

I don't get how a CEO can be this far removed from his customers and employees. Texans don't want masks or mandates and neither do your employees. It should always be a voluntary. When the stock tanks and they're begging for a bailout the CEO can look back to this point in time for the reason why he was fired.

3
2ScoopsMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

When you use those replies on the Reddit morons, what do they say? It probably rhymes with “reeeeeeeeeee…..”

9

Crazy how many people want to be governed harder. A year ago the government was evil and so was big pharma.

Good for you for having the patience to deal with them. I read recently that the reason we can’t have a debate with them is because our goals are different. We are trying to educate them with information and they are trying to change us. With two irreconcilable motives, we are all just wasting our breath. Time to either divorce or fight.

2
HiddenDekuScrub 2 points ago +3 / -1

Nobody on the world economic forum will listen to the likes of us peasants. They're in on this. If people on our end short stock, they'll just have their disgustingly rich billionaire friends buy it up and get even tighter control.

If anything, we need to start doing the opposite. We need to start investing en-masse in companies so that we get some control over these companies.

1

Theyll have their friends buy low then the Rothschilds will use our money (indirectly through inflation) via the fed to manipulate it back up.

Confiscate all Southwest Airlines property, in violation of Texas EO.

9
Captain_MAGA 9 points ago +10 / -1

This is what happens when a company thinks its too big to fail. Pan Am would like to have a word.

7
JohnCocktoastin 7 points ago +7 / -0

Pan Am failed when gov't removed protectionist policies and they refused to innovate...continued to act like it was still 1963. Man that was a glorious airline though. Sucked so much balls when they left. Same with Eastern.

6
kevinkevin 6 points ago +6 / -0

Pan Am was the best. They used to give out free decks of cards, the occasional model airplane. Awesome service. The food was reasonably good, even in coach. Wasn't for me but I think I remember free champagne throughout the flight. Different times for sure. To be fair, an airline ticket cost a small fortune but it was an event, for sure.

2
JohnCocktoastin 2 points ago +2 / -0

I still have a set of wings I got when I was a little kid. Pan Am was a huge part of why I had dreams of one day becoming an airline pilot. The same dreams that GW Bush destroyed with his financial crisis. I get rated and that cuck fucked up the market that laid off all the pilots. So I had to do something else. Now that we are in the best market for pilots ever, I have a family and built a business that would be tough to walk away from...ugh....

3
kevinkevin 3 points ago +3 / -0

You might look back one day and realize it all worked out for the best. If you were a pilot, some nimrod mechanic might not have prepared the Fetzer valves with 3-in-1 oil, gauze pads and Prestone anti-freeze. Then where would you be? (Great username, by the way) Seriously though, if it's a business that you could get your kids into one day, it could make a big difference in their lives.

3
JohnCocktoastin 3 points ago +3 / -0

Now you know that, and I know that...but...somebody's buckin' for a promotion. Probably that pederast Hanerhan...I dunno...all I know is if I don't come back with something, you and your son-in-law are gonna end up scapegoats of the week...

Does the CEO of Southwest know that OSHA hasn't done jack shit in making any 'Emergency Regulation' backing up Biden's bullshit?

1

There was no private sector eo

2
Moebius 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is about Southwest's Government Contracts...YC class fares for US Government Employees on Official Business and not about their regular commercial passengers.

The EO for Federal Employees also covered all Government Contractors which every commercial airline has with the USG.

I cannot speak to the types of contracts the Feds have with Southwest Airlines, so I do not know if they qualify as "Federal Contractors" but I would guess they probably do. Who knows. Lets stop lying to ourselves and making ourselves look like idiots ala Sean Davis. Because the EO for federal employees and contractors does exist. I will prove it.

Here is Federal worker EO:

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/09/14/2021-19927/requiring-coronavirus-disease-2019-vaccination-for-federal-employees

Here is Federal Contractor EO:

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/09/14/2021-19924/ensuring-adequate-covid-safety-protocols-for-federal-contractors

It instructs "Safer Workforce Task Force" to come up with protocols. And they did. It includes jabs.

AmazinKrackin2 5 points ago +5 / -0

Everything is tied to the enormous amount of bonus money Biden gave to the airline industry, an industry that never really closed down during the plandemic. The 50 Billion he gave that was "extra covid relief money" was the money to get the industry to buy into the plandemic. Planes being used to bring in refugees directly to the US bypassing borders and emphasis on mask mandates and denying the freedom to travel unless they are vaccinated. The Biden Covid Cash is what they used to get them to force vaccinations on employees as well as passengers. The Democratic Party used all this money to get the Build Back Better Program and communism in place.
