Iamnotademocrat4 55 points ago +56 / -1

What a publicity stunt....you know they are laughing all the way to the bank.....It will be playing on the tour bus and as loud as they can make it...SO this is what they let go of.....not the GOATS HEAD SOUP cover which is a tribute to satan...oh...I figured it out never mind

12
MasklessMarvel 12 points ago +12 / -0

they are just not playing it in concert

that does not preclude putting it on disk or the various music services

8
ENVYNITAZ [S] 8 points ago +9 / -1

hmmmmm

4
Smarmcastic 4 points ago +4 / -0

I always thought it was a tribute song to a Black chick who could dance good. Stupid me.

-1
russianbot4673 -1 points ago +2 / -3

well if you actually listen to the lyrics it's clearly describing a guy coming out and raping his slave.

0
Smarmcastic 0 points ago +1 / -1

sorry...meant to use my tongue in cheek font

1
FireannDireach 1 point ago +2 / -1

Pfff. Mick hasn't traveled in a tour bus in decades. I have some friends in the biz, the backstage amenities for the Stones are ridiculous, they basically create a 5 star hotel for them at each venue, and they travel by limo and private plane.

Now the crew...

2
Jimmy101 2 points ago +2 / -0

OH NO, and what would you do if you were the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world for last 50 yrs dickhead

1

Keith has been getting complete body blood transfusions since 1972

4
NomadicKrow2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Right. He should actually play it more. Infuriate leftists until they walk away. Make them exit and you win.

4
DonJr2024 4 points ago +4 / -0

Why? They are rich. They wrote a kick-ass song that literally puts down slavery. They know exactly what's up. It's the world's loss. No one they care about cares.

3
R3tro 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah but hell…. When i turn 139, I dont think i would want to deal with the woke bullshit either

7
Smarmcastic 7 points ago +7 / -0

It's okay .... they were gonna have to stop within the next 30 years anyway. Next up: "Under My Thumb" ---- #MeToo!

2

I'm surprised that one wasn't called out sooner.

4
pingpongdingdong 4 points ago +5 / -1

Why did these English assholes sing about the American slave trade? Fuckers were just as guilty about it.

1
labiator 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because Mick had jungle fever for Marsha Hunt, the mother of his first child.

1

I'm not sure I want to live to 90 to see us get back to normal or completely tank.

These are trying times.

11
Wearyman 11 points ago +11 / -0

I just turned 50, and I'm right there with you.

I remember when we used to call a bandana worn on the head an "AJ" because it was what Aunt Jemima wore.

Now apparently the world is too woke to even have a black woman on a syrup bottle label.

Insane.

9
BoatingAccident 9 points ago +10 / -1

Putting a black lady on a syrup bottle implies black people cook good southern food. Everyone knows that’s just ridiculous! ;)

8
RuprechtThaMonkeyBoy 8 points ago +9 / -1

100% amen.

Cream of Wheat Uncle Ben's

Both brands projected a wholesome image & good product, yet Millennials, Gen Y, & Gen Z somehow view them as some oppressive minstrel show. Well if that bothers them then they need to stop watching professional sports, because nothing screams minstrel show than a white audience enjoying mostly black players battling it out on a court. Or better yet, we could stop taking them and their delusions so seriously.

Imagine being so racist you are triggered by the sight of a black woman as a mascot for maple syrup.

A true racist would be like "I ain't putting none of that nuggets syrup on my waffles, I only use LOG CABIN like a white man"

28
loverat 28 points ago +28 / -0

The weird thing is all they have done is cancel some of the first black people with successful businesses in the US.

18
Wearyman 18 points ago +19 / -1

Well that was the point. Because you can't have black people thinking they can get ahead through hard work and innovation. They might start to believe that "Systemic Racism" thing isn't actually real and might start getting "uppity" thinking that they are equal to whites.

10
MegoThor 10 points ago +10 / -0

"Get back on the plantation where you belong," has been the Democrat's motto for generations.

1
ItsOkayToBeWight 1 point ago +3 / -2

Systemic racism is real. It's why colleges reject qualified asains and promote unqualified jews.

2
Wearyman 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well yes. But it's only focused against Whites and Asians. Not against anyone the CRT promoters claim it is.

2

TommyJarvis 22 points ago +24 / -2

Life was better before the internet.

That’s just a fact. The internet is a huge net negative. Yes there are some positives, but when you add it all up, it’s the worst thing that has ever happened to society.

18
airborne3502 18 points ago +21 / -3

A huge net negative.

That's a really good way to put it.

I can't tell you how many times I've fixed a problem with my Jeep, or a computer, because somebody else had the same problem and posted the solution on YouTube.

However, when you weigh that against the evils of social media, the scales don't balance.

8
TommyJarvis 8 points ago +9 / -1

Exactly. I would never say it did nothing good. But really the evils of freely available porn and social media mostly have vastly overshadowed the good.

I think we really tend to turn a blind eye to just how badly freely available porn on the internet has poisoned our culture. It’s the real pandemic.

6
trump1aj 6 points ago +6 / -0

For most of human history if you wanted to see a woman naked you had to get a woman naked. I agree with you for sure. I’ve quit porn cold turkey many times in the past. Every once in a while I think about something I’d like to see and breaks the streak. Happens every month or so. It’s no good. At least with narcotics you inevitably stop when you run out. But with the phone it’s never more than a click away.

5
TommyJarvis 5 points ago +5 / -0

Before the internet, if you wanted porn you had to go somewhere, in person, and select what you wanted to masturbate to, then take that selection up to a counter where a person had to look at your selection and complete your transaction. It was shameful. It made the point 100% clear: you are doing something you should be ashamed of.

It was good for you to suffer that shame, it kept perversion in check. It kept degeneracy where it belongs. Yes there were degenerates, of course, but it wasn’t the undercurrent of every man in America as it is now.

Now there’s no barrier. There’s nothing stopping you, nothing standing in the way to say “hey this is probably not right.” And that is eroding our society from the inside.

6
The_Gay_Deceiver 6 points ago +6 / -0

I honestly feel like the porn was intentional. Like if there wasn't some driving force behind it, you could find a picture of a naked woman and some artsy drawing and such, the kind of thing the regular person might produce, but the industrial scale of porn on the internet today makes it very suspect to me. I feel like it was rocketed up that way on purpose by moneyed interests.

5
Postal 5 points ago +5 / -0

I remember trying to find playboy jpegs using Fetch in high school. Those were the days. And I think if we are truly honest, it was social media that killed our society. The internet started out great, but then came social media. Just like reality TV and Temptation Island. Jeep, huh.... CJ-7 here.

2
airborne3502 2 points ago +2 / -0

A real Jeep.

I had a CJ5, but it spent more time on the back of a wrecker than it did with me.

I met a girl because I was kicking it when it broke down.

That was her lead in.

"I saw you kicking your Jeep the other day."

I've got a 93 Wrangler 4.0 now that's been pretty much bulletproof.

I wish you many sunny days, Jeep fren.

1
Postal 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is an awesome lead in!!! Jeeps certainly do have something magical about them. Got the 6-258 in er that I had to rebuild b/c the previous didn't care for her. but now she's perfect, and will forever have a place in the garage and a road to drive on during the rare sunny days here in WA state, soon to be ID. Many sunny days to you as well, Jeep fren!

dakin116 14 points ago +14 / -0

Internet was fine, but normies getting access via phones was the problem IMO. When it was only us nerds on PCs that they mocked it was ok

12
okboomer59 12 points ago +12 / -0

Internet 1.0 was great before social media. It smashed the monopoly of the media, allowing people who actually know stuff to bypass the gatekeepers to get information out. Internet 2.0 is about surveillance and censorship. Social media funneled all the normies into corrals where they reimposed and reinforced media control. Internet 3.0 will be about privacy.

11
Musicbymuzak 11 points ago +11 / -0

The early days were fine, and it was also mostly fine until the smartphone came around. After the iPhone came out it all went to shit. It was better when you were forced to leave your computer, Internet and phone at home when you left so you were forced to disconnect and get a break from it

1
BeefyBelisarius 1 point ago +1 / -0

You would rather a world where all of our information gets filtered by the MSM? Trump wouldn't have been able to win either election like he did without his supporters being able to organize online and spread unauthorized facts.

2
LaPastillaEscarlata 2 points ago +2 / -0

Didn't stop Biden from getting in this year.

1
BeefyBelisarius 1 point ago +1 / -0

We'd be in Clinton's 2nd term right now otherwise.

1
LaPastillaEscarlata 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah but that was quickly remedied wasn't it. One election it got us and they rigged the system for good unless something is done about it because even though there are even more redpilled people today than there were in 2016, it doesn't matter with a rigged election system.

2
BeefyBelisarius 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, that's why I think this will end in blood once enough people are made hungry and uncomfortable. Good thing there's more of us than there are of them and they seem determined to fire all their combat veterans.

1
LaPastillaEscarlata 1 point ago +1 / -0

I should clarify, I'm not at all saying it's better if MSM filters everything. What I am saying is that they're still filtering almost everything with their friends at Big Tech anyway. The argument is about whether life was better before the internet and taking it all in all it most definitely was.

2
BeefyBelisarius 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's only true if you assume the existence of the internet is the only difference. Don't forget that the swamp/deep state/cathedral/whatever you want to call the men behind the curtain has been working steadily at dragging our nation down into totalitarianism for over a century now. I think the internet slowed that process. Even now, with them controlling most of the internet, we can still use parts of it against the commie globalists.

2
LaPastillaEscarlata 2 points ago +2 / -0

Of course, we have to use it as much as possible, but the problem is that they're using it too and they have control over most of what is seen, so even if we do our best to fight on that front, how long will we be allowed free speech online? And, none of that takes into account the biggest problem with the internet/smart phones etc. People have become zombies over the last 20 years. Even if people have more access to information, the internet and it's vices are turning people into mental slaves. Weak, addicted, submissive and easily controllable.

And now that they caved, onto the next song. You figure the stones have enough cash to tell them to eat ass, but nope.... now that they caved, every one will hear about this non story.

20
ALargeRock 20 points ago +20 / -0

I don’t think it’s a money thing. People cave because they don’t want to disappoint potential fans or they got some dirty secrets they don’t want out.

It’s either weak or blackmail with celebrities of this caliber.

3
4more 3 points ago +3 / -0

Much like politicians I don’t think you get this big without them having dirt on you.

3
jtt888 3 points ago +3 / -0

Dirty secret from The Rolling Stones?! Well, they are practically great grandparents.

1
AlphaNathan 1 point ago +2 / -1

These are degenerate Woodstock hippies that probably just don’t care that much.

4
Schwungle 4 points ago +4 / -0

Lol the stones have a few more cancellable songs, too. You ever listen to the lyrics of Under My Thumb?

2
NvJohansson 2 points ago +2 / -0

Next up on the cancel list: “You Gotta Move,” Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St., “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,” “Wild Horses,” “Dead Flowers” and “Moonlight Mile.”

And thats how 50 years of greatness comes to an end.

Well I always thought it was about a white boy getting him some brown sugar and not getting enough. No more brown sugar for white boys.

14
SenorTrumper 14 points ago +15 / -1

Me too. What slavery references are there in the song?

16
RackOps 16 points ago +16 / -0

"Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields

Sold in a market down in New Orleans

Scarred old slaver knows he's doing alright

Hear him whip (I copied the lyrics, but I thought this word was "with") the women just around midnight"

9
iDontShift 9 points ago +10 / -1

yup, sounds to me like a pedo-song about getting with young slave girls

I'm no schoolboy but I know what I like

hmmm...

4
PepeSee 4 points ago +4 / -0

They softened it to "with" live probably the last couple of decades

3
RackOps 3 points ago +3 / -0

When the next line of the song is:

"Brown sugar, how come you taste so good?"

Then "whipping" the women doesn't make any sense in the context of the song. He's beating the hell out of them....then tasting them?

The obvious implication is that he's having sex with the slave girls. In this case hearing him "with" the women makes much more sense.

I suspect it's the exact opposite, people who copy the lyrics down are changing the words to make it seem like a much darker song than it really is.

2
PepeSee 2 points ago +2 / -0

You might be taking rock and roll a little too seriously.

4
Winner45 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’ve heard this song on the radio dozens of times. Can’t understand a word before “just around midnight.”

Just to add to the insanity, they’re cancelling a song over lyrics that are nearly impossible to decipher.

2
Bigberthapede 2 points ago +2 / -0

I never understood the lyrics at all until read them yesterday. I thought it was about a black girl dancing good around midnight. That's how freaking garbled Mick Jagger's voice is. I've heard this song for 50 years and never knew it was about that. Lyrically it's a horrible song but it has a good beat.

1
PepeSee 1 point ago +1 / -0

MasklessMarvel 0 points ago +1 / -1

not when it talks about a slaver whipping black girls

2
jtt888 2 points ago +2 / -0

But didn't that actually happen in history? Why sanitize it? Music and literature sometimes have difficult content, and sometimes the lyrics intentionally are different than the tone of the song ("Pumped Up Kicks", etc.) If we sanitized for everything in music or writing history we'd need a whole politically correct industry.

3
MasklessMarvel 3 points ago +3 / -0

i don't get this "erase every memory of slavery" shit when the media and the blacks mention it in every other sentence

Mick was beautiful for about three years when very young. As a 56 yo woman, I find the mix of his skinny grizzled body, saggy hound dog face and mouth the size of an open cut lithium mine a veritable anti-moist making combination.

18

Oh yeah, because we all know that slave women were """raped""".

Because as we all know, women are loyal to their society and culture. I'm sure Shaniqua had absolutely no interest in Jonathan the wealthy land owner who lived in a three-floor house and would never pick him over Kunta Kinte the Stickmaker.

13

I think they had one black guy in the audience at that Altamont concert and he tried to shoot Mick Jagger but he was taken down by a recent Vietnam Vet Hell's Angels security guard with an awesome military maneuver while pulling his knife and killing him. The Stones never thanked that man and condemned him instead and that guy was murdered months later for saving Jagger. That's when I learned about the media.

PETA can't like:

Little Red Rooster

Environmentalists hate:

Route 66

Those who insist the term Birthing People is used don't like:

Mother's Little Helper

If white people were allowed to complain:

Honky Tonk Women

More black:

Sweet Black Angel

Cultural appropriation:

Harlem Shuffle

Too violent:

One Hit (To the Body)

Mocking the mentally ill?

Mixed Emotions

PETA again:

Beast of Burden

.

Their next concert will just be an hour of playing the Bill Gates song Start Me Up.

But I can’t always get what I want. :-O

Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields Sold in a market down in New Orleans Scarred old slaver knows he's doing alright Hear him whip the women just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good? Brown sugar just like a young girl should

Drums beating, cold English blood runs hot Lady of the house wonderin' where it's gonna stop House boy knows that he's doing alright You shoulda heard him just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good, now? Brown sugar just like a young girl should, now

Ah, get along, brown sugar how come you taste so good, baby? Ah, got me feelin' now, brown sugar just like a black girl should

I bet your mama was a tent show queen And all her boyfriends were sweet sixteen I'm no schoolboy but I know what I like You shoulda heard me just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good, baby? Ah, brown sugar just like a young girl should, yeah

I said yeah, yeah, yeah, woo How come you... how come you taste so good? Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo Just like a... just like a black girl should Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

She was just 17, you know what I mean.

Daddy says she’s too young / But she’s old enough for me.

Young teacher, the subject / Of schoolgirl fantasy

I always get it up, for the touch of the younger kind

[Verse 1]

Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields

Sold in the market down in New Orleans

Scarred old slaver knows he's doing alright

Hear him whip the women just around midnight

[Chorus]

Brown sugar, how come you taste so good? Uh huh

Brown sugar, just like a young girl should, uh huh, oh (Woo)

[Verse 2]

Drums beating, cold English blood runs hot

Lady of the house wonderin' when it's gonna stop

House boy knows that he's doing alright

You shoulda heard 'em just around midnight

[Chorus]

Brown sugar, how come you taste so good now?

Brown sugar, just like a young girl should now (Yeah)

[Chorus]

Ah, get on, brown sugar, how come you taste so good?

Ah, got me craving the, the brown sugar

Just like a black girl should, yeah

[Verse 3]

Ah, and I bet your mama was a tent show queen

And all her boyfriends were sweet sixteen

I'm no schoolboy, but I know what I like

You shoulda heard me just around midnight

[Chorus]

Brown sugar, how come you taste so good, baby?

Ah, come down, brown sugar

Just like a young girl should, yeah

[Outro]

I said, yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

How come you, how come you taste so good?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

Just like a, just like a black girl should

Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

Orneryoldgoat 4 points ago +4 / -0

So the song talks about history, big fucking deal. I have a hard time hearing lyrics in songs. Never knew what the song was really about all these years. I thought it was a present time situation. The guy has a black girl friend and he likes her.

If Dire Straits were still around, would they be allowed to sing Money For Nothing?

See the little faggot with the earring and the make-up
Yeah buddy that's his own hair
That little faggot got his own jet airplane
That little faggot he's a millionaire

edxzxz 4 points ago +4 / -0

I like the Rolling Stones just fine, but have there been no new bands in the past 50 years worth giving air time to? WTF do radio stations keep playing old shit like the Stones or Led Zeppelin all the time? Would anyone have tolerated radio stations playing 50 year old megaphone crooner shit from the '20s in the '70s? No. So wtf can't they play any new stuff now? Musicians must get incensed when they flip around the radio stations and nearly all the mainstream stations are still stuck on playing the same tired old shit from 50 years ago, as if Robert Plant and Mick Jagger needed more cocaine money in their 80's.

"Tired of fighting with people"

That right there is their goal, and why you should NEVER capitulate. They want to break you down over time until you just concede/comply/whatever, as you're seeing now with the clotshots.

4
BillsmafiaGG 4 points ago +4 / -0

Songs are never just “about” one thing. If they were, they would just be written manifestos & wouldn’t need chords and a beat. Too bad some outside forces convinced Richards to forget what art is.

Guess I’ll burn my copy of Paradise Lost; just realized it’s about Satan.

The music industry supports joggers singing about hoes and killing whitey, but if you dare sing Dire Straits's 'Money for Nothing's lyric 'that little faggot's a millionaire', or the Stones' 'Brown Sugar', lots of panties get twisted. And meanwhile DC comics turns Superman gay and celebrates it as a breakthrough.

Fuck the left and its cultural demands. The Left is cancer.

The greatest contribution The Rolling Stones ever made was having a mobile recording studio that Led Zeppelin recorded quite a bit on.

Some 30 years ago, my buddy and I were traveling southbound on I-5 towards Los Angeles and came upon a brown van with Mississippi plates and a big BROWN SUGAR painted on the side. We got all excited because it was so damned cool to see and there was this very pretty black gal with a big afro and hoop earrings driving, she grinned at us white boys and we waved back and had a great moment with her. We were such racists eh? (cross-posted elsewhere)

Herd this on the radio but the Wash DC classic rock station (Big 100) wouldn't say why and directed everyone from their website just before they put on their 1 millionth Vax commercial. Cowards
